Southern
The Capital Bar & Grill may be the embodiment of Capital’s Southern Comfortable culinary vision focusing on provincial comfort food with a particular emphasis on the bounty of Arkansas. The tools of the bar include the most sought-after liquors, mixers and ingredients. In sort of a back-to-the-future twist, it has been a devotion to handmade classic and custom cocktails (the Aviation vs. the Cropduster) that has established Capital Bar as a nationally-regarded spirits destination. All this said, we strive to create a fun, relaxing experience for all of our guests: The friendly atmosphere is especially suited to business lunches, after-work drinks and get-togethers, as well as special date nights.

I’m so happy to return to the Capital Bar and Grill! This place has been a very special place for my husband and I! We returned there tonight to celebrate our anniversary and we were so excited! We spent our wedding night at the Capital Hotel and enjoyed drinks at the Capital Bar and Grill. Tonight was a wonderful experience! I hope we can continue to return together for many years to come! Thank you all for making our tenth anniversary special! Colonel Mrs ‘06

One would not think that this place would be as quiet as it is, but we could easily speak and listen without difficulty. We love the Capital Grill and weren't disappointed this time. I think we may be addicted to the Sticky Ribs! I had the Hot Chicken Sandwich this time, and while I did enjoy it as it was, tender and flavorful, it wasn't as crunchy as usual. Overall, excellent. Blaine was a fantastic server and stepped in to serve our party when another server failed to show. He took it in stride and did a great job. The Capital Grill is our favorite pre-show dining spot for anything going on at the Robinson Center. Perfect location.

I was on a solo trip staying at the hotel and made my reservation well in advance. I was placed at a small table with one chair next to the silverware service station, facing the other side of the service station and the wall. I asked if any other placing was available and was told no, only to see them seat another solo diner at a much nicer area 15 minutes later. The table and silverware had syrup stuck to them and then to my arm. It was an embarrassing table, and they barely checked on me once my food was delivered. It was not at all what I had expected. Not for single diners, fine for groups. Maybe it was an off night.

Went for my birthday dinner. Didn’t have the full menu they show online: got the pork chop and it’s was basically raw. Lost our server for over 30’minutes. Didn’t get a birthday dessert like was requested in reservation. Spent $160 for 2 and the food had no flavor.

Overpriced, mediocre all around. Clearly focused on locals only.

Very interesting crowd of people. (Tuxedos to cut offs). Bartender made excellent drinks. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Great prime rib and grouper dish. I enjoyed the experience.

I paid $20 for a salad with 3 shrimp, two cherry tomatoes, 5 cucumber slices and lettuce. The soup tasted like it was from a can with NO flavor. All food was lukewarm. It was $100 for a side salad, a cup of soup, a sandwich and app. Horrible. Horrible.

I could be addicted to the sticky ribs! This time, we got drinks, the charcuterie board, and various appetizers, pre-concert. The Capital Grill never disappoints!

I do not recommend this restaurant. My wife and i were celebrating a late Valentines Day dinner on Saturday (2/17/24) and made reservations for 6:45. We spoke to the hostess around 6:40 pm and we were told that our table would be ready shortly and that we could wait in the lobby. 7:00 pm rolled around and the original hostess was not present. I noticed several tables were open and cleaned up, but no one bothered to seat us until we had to check again. (Other patrons had to do something similar) We were seated shortly after 7:00pm with no napkins/silverware and I did not see a waiter till 7:10 to order drinks. Once the drinks came back , we asked about the soup of the day and we would take another minute to look over the menu. Ten minutes later we ordered our entrees Potato Gnocchi with the soup of the day and the Burger with a cup of the gumbo. Our food was then delivered close to 7:50ish and the Grouper Entree was placed in front of my wife. After another ten minutes of waiting , the waiter informed us that our food was up next and that the runner made a mistake. That explanation made no sense as those plates were not delivered to any other tables and the tables that sat down directly before and after us all received their food about twenty minutes earlier. So the “mistake” was the order not being done correctly and I’m assuming they fibbed to avoid “comping” anything for their mistake. We received our final entrees close to 8:20 and it was clear my wife’s plate had been rushed and that my burger was cold, because it was the same one that came out prior to the mistake. We finally got to leave close to 8:40ish and our evening plans had effectively been ruined for our after dinner activities. If you want to wait over an hour to get a $20 cheeseburger and a $13 cup of average Gumbo - this should be your place. Very disappointed as I used to have fond memories of eating at this restaurant. Very disappointed that
