   The cocktails were pretty good, but very expensive. Also, we ordered 2 glasses of the Cabernet which were $18 a piece and it tasted like it was wine out of a box. If you are going to charge $18 for a glass of wine it should be delicious and it wasn't. We did enjoy the ambiance of the place and Justin our server was really great.

   The server tried. She really did, but they didn’t have half the stuff listed on the menu. I ordered the short ribs. It arrived as a giant chunk and had the texture of pot roast. I ate it without complaining, as it was pretty late in the evening already. Other bar patrons were excessively loud I definitely will not be back.

   Great food and great service, the capitol is such a beautiful iconic hotel it’s a shame people wear sweats and baseball caps at dinner and cant dress appropriately. Wish more place had dress codes

   The food was excellent and our servers and hostesses tried very hard. However, there was a large gala in the hotel that night, and many guests were loudly congregated in the bar and grill when we arrived. The noise level was unbelievable. The party goers were also quite self absorbed - placing glasses and purses on tables when the staff was clearly trying to seat people with reservations. It was very difficult for the servers to weave through the crowd, and to keep an eye on the tables they were trying to serve. The food was wonderful, and the staff did their best, but I was looking forward to chatting with my dinner partner, and that was impossible for half of the time we were there. I don't know how the staff could have handled the situation better, but I won't be dining there again on a Saturday evening. It wasn't the pleasant experience I had anticipated.

    Enjoyed my birthday lunch so much at the Capitol Bar and Grill. Great food, service and had a nice table at the front window. Highly recommend.

    Well, I can honestly say the meal was average and the experience less than expected, since we both ordered T-Bones at $50 per and neither of the steaks was cooked to taste, or specifications. Next, in attempting to salvage the meal with a dessert, I decided to order a chocolate rum tart, which was served as a piece of overcooked pecan pie with ice cream. Rather than raise a fuss, or sending it back, I simply ate it and paid the bill before we left. As a first experience at Capital, in Little Rock, I’m afraid to say, this may be our last visit to the hotel, also, in this city.

    Loved being back at the Capitol Bar and Grill. The food was great and we had excellent service. Wait staff was very accommodating, even set up a nice corner table by the window for us. Love the space and love the hotel. Historic!

    One of the BEST burgers in town! Love the brioche buns! Crispy fries and a great selection of cheese choices!!! Fun cocktails and you cannot beat that homemade pimento cheese and the homemade crackers!!!!!! Yum!

    I come here often as the hours work well with my work schedule and the quality is always good. Last night there were some challenges with holidays and short staffed. The manager and the entire staff were working extremely hard and did everything to offer a wonderful experience. It is worth the wait and the kindness and professionalism of everyone trying to make a wonderful experience was exceptional.

    Unfortunately there was no alcohol service that night even though it’s name is Bar and Grill. We were looking forward to a nice bottle of wine with dinner. There was no Indication that there was no bar service when the reservation was made.

    We had a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner here. I forgot our server’s name, but he went above and beyond to provide excellent service. The food was delicious and an outstanding value for the price. The restaurant itself was cozy yet upscale. We look forward to making Capital Bar and Grill our Christmas Eve tradition!

    We went the night before Christmas Eve. Our service was very good and the atmosphere is so nice. I had the shrimp and grits , they were very good with plenty of shrimp, my husband had the hamburger and said it was the best hamburger he had ever had and our friends split a rib eye they said it was tender and flavorful. the side vegetables were very good I tasted the brussel sprout and they were excellent . After our meal we enjoyed the lobby and getting our picture made beside the tree. The capital Hotel is such a special place and the Capital Bar and Grill did not disappoint.

    I was not very pleased with the table where we were seated! just inside the doorway! Everyone that walked by bumped into me! If you wanted to use every inch of space why not put up a screen or better yet a half wall! This was disappointing as we had made an online reservation well in advance!

    Two long time girlfriends getting together to celebrate a birthday, shrimp and grits was delicious, service was excellent. We have been very good friends since the late ‘70s so we always have a great time laughing and catching up and Capitol Hotel Bar is the perfect spot.

    Our first visit. We did the charcuterie and shared the fall salad. Everything was tasty and we enjoyed the overall experience. We will return and do entrees next time. Certainly a nicer restaurant in the area. We moved here in April from northern Virginia and the restaurant choices for good food are slim.

    With few dining options on Sunday Night in Downtown Little Rock, this is a no-brainer! Great location, valet parking, reasonable menu options, beautiful location - it is a perfect dining option.

    My friend and I went for a girl's night and had a wonderful time. We both had the Shrimp and Grits, shared some onion rings and for dessert, I had the banana pudding, and she had the carrot cake. The Shrimp and Grits were perfectly prepared with just the right amount of spices, the onion rings were spot on, and the desserts were fabulous. The only thing that was lacking was the server being slow and not friendly at all, but we weren't in a hurry, so we just enjoyed the beautiful setting and our girl time!

    We stopped at Capital Hotel in Little Rock for the night on our way from Texas to Nashville. Luckily we had made reservations at The Capital Bar and Grill several months ago, it was packed at 5:00! The short ribs and burger were both delicious! As were the spicy pecan appetizer! No room for dessert! Maybe next time!
