   I was truly disappointed with the Mother’s Day brunch at this restaurant. For an event that should feel special and well thought-out, the experience fell short on nearly every front. To begin with, the selection was shockingly limited. Standard brunch staples like eggs, bacon, waffles, or even pancakes were completely absent. It’s hard to understand how a brunch menu can exclude such basics, especially on a holiday like Mother’s Day when families are looking for a comforting and celebratory meal. Worse still, for the premium price they charged, there were no higher-end offerings to justify the cost—no shrimp, no crab cakes, nothing that gave the buffet a sense of value or quality. While I don’t mind paying for a great meal, what was served simply didn’t measure up. It felt like corners were cut, both in variety and in quality. Sadly, this was not the special experience we were hoping to enjoy with our family. I won’t be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it for anyone looking to celebrate a meaningful occasion.

   It has been a few months since we last ate at the Capital Bar and Grill and historically has been one of our favorite restaurants. It seems a lot has changed since the last time we ate there. The menu has changed. I don’t think any new has been added, but there has been some deletions from the menu. What I was looking forward to eating was removed. There were no specials for the day. The prices have gone up. The quality of the food was fine, but not to the standard I remembered. They were very slow, which seems unusual for a Saturday night. The restaurant was less than half capacity the entire time we were there. It was not bad, but it was not the experience I was expecting.

   What a gem! Old school ambiance and fantastic food. Superb craft made drinks and a wonderful steak prepared just right!

   Our dinner at the capital grill was very much below par! The restaurant was so loud you could not have a conversation with the person next to you. The service was just awful. I mean the service was REALLY bad! Food was average at best. Was certainly not worth the cost of the meal. This was not up to the standards of the Capital Hotel.

   We had an enjoyable dining experience. The margarita, expresso martini and old fashion were great. My husband really liked his steak and gumbo. I loved the shrimp and grits. The gnocchi was so yummy too. Our waitress was very polite and provided us with good service. We would eat there again.

    Like the new menu but the chowder was not delicious. I expected more flavor and consistency. Great drinks and atmosphere.
