Dinner with out of town gue.
I picked an early (5pm) slot for our Day After Valentine's Day dinner hoping to avoid a packed house. Apparently everyone else did too. On an average evening this is a very comfortable restaurant, but the volume was all the way up on this visit. Putting that aside, the rest of the night went well. Food and wine were great, service was impeccable and the prices are quite reasonable. One off-note. There is a small market attached selling some to-go items. I purchased an $8 pack of their meatballs and was charged $10. The response to my inquiry about this was that "yeah we told her she should change the sign." Not an earth shaking moment, but it seemed unnecessarily out of sync with the overall experience.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Always recommend
Had a great meal as usual! Anthony was a very conscientious waitperson even with the busy night (Valentine's weekend). Duck confit ravioli and short ribs were excellent! Anthony even warned us that the ribs may take awhile so all was good. Coffee and tiramisu was a great finish!
Everything was delicious. Our waiter Rick was amazing. We went for Valentine’s Day and will be back again!
We never go out on Valentines Day but we took a chance and it was perfect! The atmosphere the service and even the people around us were fantastic!
Our dinners were delicious and the chef even gave me her recipe for broccoli rabe! I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our delicious unhurried Valentines dinner!
Capers and Lemons is a "go to" spot. We always get amazing service and the food is consistently excellent. Highly recommended!
Great food in a beautiful setting. My go to for a celebratory meal.
Very pleased with this restaurant for a business lunch. Wait staff were extremely helpful and displayed an appropriate amount of attention to the table. Majority of the food was very good to excellent. The only "negative" comment was related to the fried chicken sandwich which had the wrong bun to chicken ratio where the chicken got lost in a whole lot of brioche. I will continue to recommend this restaurant as one of my favorites.
Waited 45 minutes past our reservation time: service was very slow and inattentive resulting in a very long and frustrating evening. Food is average -and a bit over priced. Disappointing overall. Won’t return.
It took us over an hour after we ordered to get our food. This has happened to us before at Capers & Lemons. Unfortunately, their kitchen can not handle a full dining room, and, because of it's populartiy, it often has a full dining room. Also, their parking lot is not big enough to handle a full dining room. While the food was very good, and our server was very nice, it was a frustrating experience. I doubt we will be back.
We love Capers and Lemons! The service could have been better but the food was awesome and their shop “The Market” is also unique and amazing! I highly recommend them!
My wife & I have been here 2 or 3 times and it has always been excellent - Tonite we took friends for dinner and were honestly disappointed, mainly with the quality of the food we ordered, best described as "inconsistent". The "market soup" (2 ordered) was sausage and bean - ONE bean in mine, none in my friends' - we commented to our server and he advised us that the beans were "infused". We found that to be impossible due to the fact that the broth was thin and watery, with only a smattering of sausage and arugula. The Pork Milanese (2) was thin, over-breaded and tough. The Shrimp Scampi was a large portion of under-sauced spaghetti and FOUR medium shrimp that was pretty much tasteless. The Campanelle was just "ok" tonite, having ordered it for lunch previously. Our server was pleasant and attentive but seemed "miffed" about our respectful comment on the soup. I(we) were excited to have our friends try Capers & Lemons for their first time but came away disappointed, mainly for our friends. Overall, It seems this establishment is "dish specific" - with some excellent dishes and some missing the mark - as I stated earlier, "inconsistent". My wife and I will return again, but only for lunches, where the atmosphere is much more tame and pleasant.
Amazing , authentic
Delicious , incredible food! An outstanding menu !
Excellent service ! Fantastic ambience for any and all occasions!
Salad and dessert were great. Entree wasn't up to it's normal standards. Maybe it was too busy for the kitchen.
Thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. I can't wait until we come back.
Our server was top-notch, she was very knowledgeable & attentive - one of the best !
Need to improve the parking situation
We had awesome food and timely service! Salads were fresh and crisp and the pasta dishes were on point!
Server Alex was great and helped me with my meal especially since I am dairy free
Service a little slow. Everything else was excellent!
I had never been to Red Fire for brunch and we enjoyed it.
Good food good service.
Good food, kind waiter, reliably delicious pleasant spot.
Good for a special occasion but too pricy for an normal everyday type dinner
Our food and waiter were wonderful. I had the veal saltimbocca and my date had the chicken piccata. Both dishes were delicious. We shared the cheese board as an appetizer. The three cheeses and the sides of fig jam, honey and almonds were equally tasty. The wine and after dinner cocktails again excellent. Great night out!
Nice variety of foods for different types of diets. We like to see small and full plate portions on the menu. That wasn't clear about the salads. Eggplant lasagna is a winner!
Nice looking restaurant. They accommodated us changing our reservation from 4 to 5 when we were sitting at a 4 top. The waiter was excellent and very professional. Food is always good.
Enjoyed everything about the visit except noise from the happy hour crowd in the bar area carries over in to the restaurant. Would definitely go back but would plan to go after happy hour was over. Perhaps consider some sort of divider to minimize bar noise in the restaurant?
Food was awesome!
Server, Rick, was knowledgeable, friendly, happy and a joy!
The food was delicious. I had grilled salmon and wife had eggplant parmesan. For appetizers we had grilled artichokes and three cheeses. The blue cheese had as strong flavor which we did not care for it. The wine from Willamette Valley Valley (2017 vintage) brought back fond memories of Oregon .
The waitress- Ms Lauren Wilcox- provided exceptional customer service. You need more people like her. She was courteous and kind. She made sure we enjoyed our meal.
Keep up the great work. We will continue to come to Capers and Lemons for a long time to come.
Always a good meal. Dined with my cousin who’d never been to C&L. She loved it and I’m sure she will be back and bring her lawyer friends.
Noisy, busy but good food and excellent service and excellent seating
Food and service was outstanding!
The salmon was fresh and cooked perfectly. The seasoning was just right. It was accompanied with spinach and orzo which again was fresh and extremely tasty! Well done!
Even though very busy kitchen and servers were first rate!
Wine was not brought until main course was completely finished. Not acceptable. The wine was refused.
Over all good .. good food .. busy but helpful waiter .. kinda noisy drinkers by our table ..
great food and wonderful vibe! highly recommend Capers and Lemons!
food was great and I really appreciate the veterans discount.
