   It was a beautiful spring evening in Bridge Park and the restaurant was jumping. We got to eat outside which is really a pleasant space. The fish and chips were EXCELLENT! Really generous amount of fish, excellent tartar sauce and fresh and crispy slaw. Perfect.

   We were celebrating an early Mother's Day with 4 generations of family. The food and service was awesome. We had our 22 month old Grandson with us and he loved the gum ball machine in the foyer! Tuesday's special, the chicken pot pie, was delicious and the perfect 'comfort food' meal for the evening!

   Very disappointing service. We had a reservation and got seated promptly but downhil from there. We were ready to order our meal but the server told us he couldn't take our order until he put the drink order in first. Our entrees came before the appetizer. No refill for our drinks. The server said it was because of the graduation groups - however, the resaturant wasn't half full when we ordered. The blue cheese potato chips and the BBQ chopped salad were just "ok." I've been going to Cap City for 25 years and it's very rare that I say it was just "ok." Hopefully it was a one off.

   All good. New waiter. Not attentive...but he'll learn. Miss the Hot Dogs at Lunch in the slimed down menu.

   We have enjoyed Cap City on many occasions, but this time it was disappointing at best. Our waiter did his best, but it was clear that he had too many tables to deal with. Food service was extremely slow….. it took 20 minutes for our Bleu Cheese chips to arrive, and when they did, they were cold. The restaurant did make it right, and we appreciate that. Hopefully this was an isolated incident and will not be repeated when we make our next trip their.

    Our server, Austin, was excellent! Energetic with a constant smile on his face, he checked on us periodically and ensured everything was as we expected. My spouse’s cherry milkshake hit the spot. The buffalo chicken sandwiches were good (they would be great if they were grilled rather than fried). The folks at the host stand were helpful in assisting me in getting my spouse in and out of the door. Thank you!
