Cap City Fine Diner & Bar - Dublin
First time trying Brunch and it was fantastic.
Aldo did a nice job
Always have a good experience at Cap City which is why we’ve gone several times. Food was excellent as was our server ( can’t remember her name unfortunately). Felt well taken care of-we will be returning.
Good was great. Server disappeared for 20 minutes. Had to ask for our bill.
Delicious lunch with excellent service.
We go to Cap City frequently but the trend of ever-higher prices for the level of quality is getting out of whack. There were little kids running laps up and down the aisle next to our booth and neither parents nor staff made a move to intervene. The overall noise level was deafening. The meatloaf was meh. And then to cap it off, I watched an employee leave the restroom without washing his hands. So all in all It wasn’t my favorite dinner out.
Very loud, active Friday night! Food was very good, slower service because of crowds. Fun friday night out, busy bar, lots of families.
Start to finish the experience, food and atmosphere was excellent !!!
We normally enjoy our visits to Cap City, usually to the one in Grandview. We came for lunch and had an atypical meal. We sat down and had no one come to the table for 5-10 minutes; multiple waiters were walking around, but none stopped. Our waiter came and we told her we were in a little bit of a time crunch. We placed our order - we also clarified if there was a lunch portion of the salmon plate, as there had been in the past. The server said yes.
Order went in ok and food started to come out, though the server didn't check in often. She was efficient in clearing the table, including the rolls we were still eating. We got the check and the salmon plate was charged at the full dinner price. We asked if that was the lunch portion - the server said "yes, there's even an L there to mark lunch." We asked why the price was the same as the dinner then. She didn't seem to understand and didn't seem interested in helping.
The manager came to the table and Bill was great. He explained immediately that, at the start of the year, they have eliminated the lunch menu and what we have received was the regular portion. That was all we really needed to know at the start. Bill went above and beyond, adjusting the check and even giving my wife a piece of cheesecake (it was her birthday).
Management was great and the food was good as usual. Perhaps the staff needs a little more training.
I didn’t, expect the noise level to be so high the three of us had to lean into each other to have a conversation.
Loved everything about it except the music is too loud. We had to yell across the table to talk. Happened last time we went there as well. Won't return for casual lunch for this reason.
Great as always! We love coming to this location.
From the welcome at the door to the end of our dinner we had a fabulous experience. Great food, friendly staff and nice ambiance. We will be back!!!
Put us by the front door with other tables available and it was 28 degrees - didn’t even ask if it was ok
Chicken pot pie worth every calorie. Waiter was perfect with timing and very patient. I was catching up with a friend during a weeknight. We were able to sit and talk and enjoy a leisurely dinner. It wasn’t too loud for conversation and it wasn’t so quiet that the ambiance suffered.
Great food, great service and competitive pricing. Will return.
I was craving the meatloaf— and it did not disappoint! It was outstanding. My husband had the fish and chips and it was great as well. Our server was awesome; she was very attentive, pleasant and friendly!
It was a great place to take our business clients for a business dinner.
Server, Kelly, was great. She was on top of everything. Great service!!! Was nice enough to take our group photo since we were there celebrating my daughters 24th birthday with her grandparents.
I made a reservation for brunch but when we arrived they were very busy so it took about ten minutes to be seated. The receptionist was ok ... not overly friendly but not rude. Roxie, our waitress was outstanding, friendly and engaging. She took our order for drinks and then came back for food order. She checked on us just the right amount of times. The food was amazing - I had the omlette and my friend had the french toast ... everything was delicious, down to the buttermilk toast with my omlette. Will definitely head back next time I'm in Dublin.
Family gathering., all great just a noisy.
Food and service is generally outstanding but pecan crusted pork chops were fatty and seemed undercooked and did not taste very good. The rest of the food that we all had was fine. Very loud music when we came in but they turned it down once we asked. We will continue to go here but not order the pork chops!
Food was mediocre
Kelly was outstanding. We love to dine at Cap City
Had reservations, still had to wait 15-20 min then seated on the covered patio. If we wanted to seat inside would had been another 40 min wait. Patio was ok but it was February and Valentine’s Day so a little chill in the air. As always the people and meal was great.
We love Cap City. However, trying to accommodate more guests on Valentine's by putting 5 tables of 4 in your small party room was pretty disappointing and awkward. And, this was with a reservation placed 2 weeks earlier. Had we known we were going to be put in the coat closet, we would have stayed at the bar and ate. Hard to believe you actually thought people would think that was okay. After all most of us go for the ambiance, not to stare at 4 walls and a fake fireplace scene playing on the TV in the room.
A bit more upscale than the Grandview location, they have done a nice job of positioning this location to their target audience.
Food was top notch, esp. the Lobster risotto special.
Top marks all around.
Our server was excellent
A wonderful experience as usual. The special was scallops which were delicious, along with the drinks. And the chocolate cake we ordered for desert was a special treat. Abraham was an exceptional server and made the experience all the better! A great time overall!
The meal and service was excellent. However we had outdoor seating and it happened to be 12 degrees that night. The heat lamps were helpful, but my legs were still cold. That was the only bad thing for the evening. Mostly, though it was fantastic.
Wonderful service, great food! We had a great server on Valentine night that made the evening great.
Happy I made a reservation, because the place was hopping! But we were seated immediately, service was stellar, as was the food. And we had a wonderful Valentine's Date. :-)
We enjoyed our visit EXCEPT we were seated in a booth near the door and we were freezing!
Had a great time!!! Will be back again soon!!!
Server was very friendly Many tables not cleaned. Passed at least 7 tables with dirty dishes while being escorted to our table.
Love this place! Delicious comfort food with fantastic service. Looking forward to going back!
Cap City Dublin is never anything short of perfection! We love the food, service and atmosphere and it is very reasonably priced. By far, our very favorite restaurant in town! Keep up the awesome job!
Food and service is always good even when they are busy.
