   This was about the worst Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. We’ve been to this restaurant several times before so I don’t know what happened. They don’t serve fresh made table side guacamole anymore so when I ordered it, it looked like 3 scoops of ice cream but it was guacamole that was made a while ago because some parts of it were brown. The food was tasteless and was horrible. The server was great and accommodating but we will never go back to dine here again nor would I recommend it.

   Crowded on weekends. Noise level is high. Food is good. Chips and salsa at your table is a nice touch and they're very tasty!

   The food was wonderful but besides that I felt that the service was slow. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive and was very slow. Our table was not sturdy which made it hard to eat. It Took forever to get our drinks. We were sat at 7:30 and didn’t get our drinks until close to 8 and out food 8:30. Wasn’t impressed at all.

   My boyfriend and I sat near the fireplace on a Tuesday evening. The food was very good, the service was wonderful, the ambience was fantastic and where we sat was quiet and relaxed.

   Had a great time overall. Restaurant was busy and a bit loud (was a Saturday night so expected as much) and we were a bit disappointed in the Casa-Rita cocktail but our entrees (Carne Asada plate, and combination Fajitas) were excellent and the service was very good! The desert (warm Apple Pie with Brandy Butter and Cinnamon Ice Cream) was also very good. Atmosphere was lively and enjoyed the experience overall. Will be back to try more of their menu!

    Certainly not the best restaurant in Chicago for Eclectic Mexican fare. Chips and salsa were definitely the highlight. The guacamole was bland and tasteless. My entree, the Mole, was once again lacking any unique flavors. The Margaritas sounded great on the menu but in fact had an over abundance of mix to alcohol. The atmosphere is relaxed and contemporary. Our waiter, Mark, was extremely obnoxious and just wanted to hear himself talk. The staff tries to rush your dinner in order to turn tables so if your looking for a relaxed dinner this is not the place. Chicago has a plethora of amazing restaurants, unfortunately, I would not include Cantina Laredo among them.

    I love everything about this restaurant! We had such a positive experience booking our reservation for 9 people. We were seated in a private room with a big round table (I love round tables!)! Our meal was delicious. The service was wonderful. The whole evening was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant!

    Nice restaurant, but very loud. Loved the chips and salsa. Got the steak fajita, and thought the condiments portion (guacamole, sour cream, etc.) was pretty small. But all-in-all, very tasty. The server we had was perfect. We'll be back.

    Had a 9:30 reservation in a Sat night. Waited at the desk where it says wait here to be seated for 10 minutes with another group of people that came in right after us. Finally a server that walked past us 3 times already asked us if we had a reservation while all the other servers tried to not see us. We asked if we could be seated in one of the booths near the bar and were told they were trying to close that section down yet plenty of people were still there. Moved us to a big open area next to a loud private party. Glad they were having fun and happy for the restaurant to be busy but impossible to have a conversation. Thankfully the food made up for the lack of service. Our dinners were good as we all had tacos. Small tortillas but delicious fillings. Our tamale appetizer came with the dinners and that too was delicious. Had a margarita and had to flag down a waiter from the party to ask if he would have our server get us another round. All in all good food but service that did not care if we were there or not.

    We went with a group of my girlfriends and loved it! The server, Michael, was wonderful, he knew the menu well including the cocktail menu and was helpful when making our selections. The food is so good, very fresh, not the heavy Mexican food you might find elsewhere, but fresh, light selections. The cocktails are top notch as well! My only down side would be it's a active, lively atmosphere and that can make it difficult if you want to catch up with friends you haven't seen in a while. We will definitely be back though!

    The 1030am brunch reservation that is on open table meant the restaurant was 30 minutes late because they don't open until 11am. And the people at the restaurant didn't care. Food quality went downhill, all kinds of things that make Mexican food non gluten free (which is hard to do). I will be hard pressed to go back for anything more than a margarita. A while lot of we don't care at this place.

    Great service. Loved the service. Price fair. Guacamole amazing and so were chips. Has chicken quesadillas and they were good but could have been great if a little more moist. The decor super cool and sat by fire for warmth and ambience. Would go again when in city.

    I met a friend for happy hour. The bar area was full when I arrived, but the staff was very accommodating and offered the HH menu at a table nearby. I was disappointed that the guac cart is no longer available - but all good and drink was still great!

    Me and my boyfriend love this place, the food and the vibe never disappoints! I particularly love the Combination fajita plate and all the margaritas. Today, we came in for our anniversary and booked a table through OpenTable specifically indicating that it was our anniversary, however nothing was mentioned about it. Additionally, our server, Jesse, gave the table next to us very attentive service - greeting them first (despite us coming in earlier), asking for drink refills, refilling the chips and salsa - while stopping by our table only a handful of times (and us having to ask multiple times for the same items). As a server myself, I am beyond disappointed in this experience and will be choosing to dine elsewhere on special occasions.

    Cantina has been one of our go to restaurants. Now they don’t do table side guacamole anymore even though they increased the price. Now you get half the amount and it’s not that special. They’ve reduced the amount of items ...some of our favorites are no longer available.
