wish i could give more stars here because i seriously loved their old location but the service was slow (possibly due to the new open) however overall i would say it was a subpar visit. :( our table wasn’t ready at our reso time, the food took forever, it was mediocre (except the red snapper!), and someone in our party had a dairy allergy but we were still served dairy at the table. hope that this is only a one-off situation for both their service and quality of food.

The new Cantina space is amazing. Fun vibe in a great part of town. Food is delicious as always with some great new menu items. Will definitely be back!

Love the new location!! The food is just so delicious!!! The cocktails are great with a truly impressive tequila/mezcal/reposado collection! The queso fundido (with chorizo, of course) is my favorite!! Can’t wait to go back!!

First visit to Cantina in the new Pendleton location. Outstanding first impression! Naya was our server at the bar... so fun and engaging! The service was friendly, helpful and casual / fun. We loved the guacamole appetizer and both the sweet potato and steak tacos were delicious. Definitely will go back to try several other items on the menu.

Great dinner at the new location, huge rainstorm while we having our starter, BUT Brenna, Donovan(?) and the whole crew stepped up, got us inside with great care and checked in frequently!! As Pendleton residents, It will be a go to stop for us and we will spread the word!

We had a great time at opening night in their new location on Broadway! We've gone before at the previous location and loved that too. The new space is awesome and we are so excited for them!

We ate inside because it was extremely hot outside. It turned out the inside of the restaurant was hotter than the outside! Made the whole meal uncomfortable. A couple of our guests got up and went outside as soon as they finished their meal because it was too hot to stay and continue with our dinner. Hopefully, the new location will have air conditioning that works.

Menu could use more no meat options There were plenty of open tables when we arrived for a 6 pm reservation. Yet, they seated us right next to a family with small kids who were moving around and making noise the whole time. Then they seated another family with small boys on our other side. So much for a quiet Father’s Day dinner. Why not space out guests as much as possible. Servers were fine but first tried to clear drinks and food before we were done. Then ignored us.

We have been here many times and had excellent service, cocktails, and food every time. Our favorite dishes are 1) the guacamole, which is nothing like regular guac you are used to ordering. It has roasted vegetables and cotija cheese on top with big homeade tortilla chips 2) the Hamachi Aguachili, which has a fantastic pineapple broth that you could just drink. 3) the Carne Asada, which comes in a steaming dish and then they pour this butter sauce all over it. It is served with these lovely, authentic tasting beans and rice, sour cream, pico de gallo, and my favorite accompaniment; the avocado salsa. We have also tried the fish taco, which is good, the camote asado, which is an interesting and fantastic flavor combination with sweet potato and too much chili crunch. (I would ask for it to be light on the chili crunch), and the enchiladas verdes. The enchiladas were our least favorite. They were three soft taco shells around barely any chicken filling, and completely smothered in sauce. There was hardly any of the black been puree. We would not order that dish again. It is great to have an upscale Mexican place in Cincinnati. We highly recommend!
