We ate inside because it was extremely hot outside. It turned out the inside of the restaurant was hotter than the outside! Made the whole meal uncomfortable. A couple of our guests got up and went outside as soon as they finished their meal because it was too hot to stay and continue with our dinner. Hopefully, the new location will have air conditioning that works.

Menu could use more no meat options There were plenty of open tables when we arrived for a 6 pm reservation. Yet, they seated us right next to a family with small kids who were moving around and making noise the whole time. Then they seated another family with small boys on our other side. So much for a quiet Father’s Day dinner. Why not space out guests as much as possible. Servers were fine but first tried to clear drinks and food before we were done. Then ignored us.

We have been here many times and had excellent service, cocktails, and food every time. Our favorite dishes are 1) the guacamole, which is nothing like regular guac you are used to ordering. It has roasted vegetables and cotija cheese on top with big homeade tortilla chips 2) the Hamachi Aguachili, which has a fantastic pineapple broth that you could just drink. 3) the Carne Asada, which comes in a steaming dish and then they pour this butter sauce all over it. It is served with these lovely, authentic tasting beans and rice, sour cream, pico de gallo, and my favorite accompaniment; the avocado salsa. We have also tried the fish taco, which is good, the camote asado, which is an interesting and fantastic flavor combination with sweet potato and too much chili crunch. (I would ask for it to be light on the chili crunch), and the enchiladas verdes. The enchiladas were our least favorite. They were three soft taco shells around barely any chicken filling, and completely smothered in sauce. There was hardly any of the black been puree. We would not order that dish again. It is great to have an upscale Mexican place in Cincinnati. We highly recommend!

This was one of my all time favorite Cincinnati restaurant experiences! I'd define the restaurant as elevated Mexican. They have the basics of any Mexican restaurant, but they upped the game a little in every area. The Baja fish taco- absolutely exquisite. Guacamole- simple guac, but added charred veggies and queso fresco- chefs kiss. I was excited to try something new, too, so we asked the bartender about the Camote Asado- this was essentially two sweet potato wedges, seasoned with a house made seasoning that resembled everything but the bagel seasoning plus spices, atop a bed of crema... Stahp... I'm drooling!! The enchiladas Verdes was a perfectly sized portion to share, and I loved they were served on a bed of black bean puree. And the star of the show... The Pina colada margarita. Holy cow, was this drink stellar!! Pitchers needed next time. Can't wait to go back. Can't wait to see the new location. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful evening and experience ♥️🤤😋

We think Crown Cantina is the best Mexican restaurant in Cincinnati. We typically get a taco each and share two or more entrees. The server's are good at guiding groups through the menu and pacing dinner. We like to sit outside because its quieter than inside even with a bit of street noise.

Service excellent! Dishes full of flavor. Cramped space - quite loud. Spice level not indicated on the menu - ask if you’re not into high heat! Prices quite high for portion sizes - example: only a few small tortillas included with $15 cheese appetizer.
