The food was ok but the drinks were terrible. Ordered a margarita but it was all orange juice. When the waiter brought the margarita even she said it didn’t look right and looked like it had too much orange juice in it. Tried a Moscow mule but it was all ginger beer. We won’t be going back.

Service was slow to intermittent t. Our server basically disappeared for prolonged periods. Though certainly not our servers fault, we order a pitcher of margaritas and I must say, they were the worst I ever had. Thought we were getting a pitcher of of orange juice. That would have tasted better. But the food was okay and we sat outside and caught up with a good friend. Don’t know that we’d come back though. Too many other options.

This was my first visit to this Cantina 1511 location and I was unimpressed. The menu has a great selection of food and beverages but soon discovered some items were not available. In addition, our server completely messed up one of our two orders and then didn't return to check on us until have of the dish was eaten. My visits to the other loction was superb food and service.

Hostesses were unprofessional and distracted. Server was friendly but not well-trained. An order of guacamole was to be prepared table-side as an appetizer. Our entrees were delivered (tepid, not hot) before our appetizer. The food runner’s attitude when we asked about the guacamole was glib, at best. Our guacamole finally arrived, not prepared table-side, as advertised, but indifferently prepared in the kitchen. The server comped the guacamole, but that hardly made up for our lost conversation time over guacamole and chips. I look forward to what will fill Cantina’s space next. It’s obvious that Cantina isn’t far from closing.

Typical Mexican cantina decor. Mix of customers: teens, singles, families. Food was really good. We had fajitas, Mexican street corn, various tacos, plantains, and queso. Everything was served warm/hot and full of flavor. Not too spicy, not too bland. Great margaritas. Attentive but not obnoxious service. Fair price given quantity of food and drink.

Our waitress was very slow in all respects. We would have understood if she was slammed or if they were short staffed but no one said anything. My order was wrong (didn't bother to send it back due to time), she was not very attentive if things needed refilling.

The service was slow. They brought out one meal but the other one lost the order. Server said chicken was always shredded and it was big chunks . Took a long time to get the bill. They appear to be very understaffed. Feels sort of dirty.

The flank steak lacked flavor and there was not enough sauce for the Carne Azteca. We never received our extra sauce requested. We were without drinks for some time and had to ask for our waters a second time. Otherwise, we had a good experience.

It seemed understaffed because it took forever to get drinks and to order our food. When our food came we told the waiter that we needed napkins and silverware. We saw 8 setups on an adjacent, empty table and he said that we couldn’t use those because those diners would arriving soon (hello… we were just served our meals and had nothing to eat it with). So he went back to the kitchen and brought out 4 forks (only) and then gave us a stack of paper cocktail napkins. I won’t be going back.

We were seated beside a rowdy table of 5 kids under ahead of 6 + crying baby. That was pretty unpleasant. And.. waitress was having a bad day. Obviously new, overwhelmed and she spilled my cocktail all over the guacamole prep and my coat. Not the best experience.

We have been going to Cantina for a very long time and have always liked it. Maybe this was just a really off night. The service took a very very long time with no acknowledgement or apology. After 40 minutes of waiting for salads, we finally asked for them to go so that we could make our movie. They were not close to their normal standard levels ... way over dressed and bland ... the salmon was cooked fine ... the manager did come over (after we asked for her) and gave us a discount on our bill. We'll probably go again since we've always liked them, but this was a big disappointment.

The waitress was so focused on leaving for the night her service was lack luster. She was not attentive, she placed a new bowl of nachos on top of the old bowl, she knew nothing about the menu, and she asked us if we could pay because she was ready to leave.
