    It was out 25th wedding anniversary dinner and they didn’t know. I would have wanted a table nearest the ocean. We were outside but it wasn’t the best table which we were hoping for.

    Our server was Yo who gave exceptional service and was professional from beginning to end. We love this restaurant and to say the least the food was delicious. Everything we had was not a disappointment. I highly recommend this restaurant on your next visit to Kona

    Enjoyed our first visit here, awesome food and service, ghe fried rice was good can share it for 2 but my son ate it all… :)

    We’ve dined at the CanoeHouse many, many times. And yes, everyone can have an “off night”. Perhaps this was “that night” for the CanoeHouse? Tonight food quality was sub-par, as evidenced by lukewarm clams (entree) and heavily over-seasoned fried rice. In addition, our server was uninformed (re. menu items) and our bill was presented at the same time dessert was served … tacky. The server repeatedly checked the bill folio for our credit card as we were finishing our dessert. Given that we had occupied the table for no more than 90 minutes, their behavior was comically unprofessional. Will we dine here again? Likely not. The setting is phenomenal; however, I believe the restaurant has strayed from providing the top-tier food and service that they have demonstrated in the past. Disappointing…

    The food was amazing. It was a breath of fresh air that they allowed one person to do the tasting menu and that it wasnt a requirement for the full table. The Prawns and Sourdough bread are some of the best I've had. The Kanpachi was the best piece of cooked fish I have ever had. Highly HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for a celebratory meal!

    Excellent atmosphere! Steak quality was ok at best. Oysters were fresh. Definitely an experience for the location.

    Always wanted to try this place and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful dining experience seeing the sunset and enjoying the unique cuisine. We had the seafood tower and tried the tasting menu. Drinks were also great. The service was wonderful and one of the best parts of our experience. Thank you CanoeHouse!
