   Everything was wonderful. To bad they are closing today. We will miss this special dining location. Fashion island why did you not fight to keep them. The location was s not good for retail. It just fit with the location

   May have been a really busy day but service was slow and poor attention to detail. For example the waiter's helper took our appetizer plates away even though we ordered appetizers. Only to have to bring them back. Same with our cutlery. It was odd.

   One of the best restaurants in town. We come here at least 5 times a month. The food is delicious, service is spectacular and friendly. Truly an Italian Restaurant! The Irvine company wanted to increase their lease payments by an astronomical amount, and after a year of negotiating, the Irvine company found a jewelry store to take over this huge restaurant, which not only we love, and NPB and CDM people love, but we need more restaurants, not less, as it is hard to get a table on the weekends. We will miss this restaurant and the people who work here. Some of them we will see at other restaurants in the area. Very sad to see them leave. The last day was yesterday, Sunday, May 15th.

   This review is solely based on service and overall experience. My wife and myself have been to many upscale restaurants before and have NEVER had a worse experience than the one i had here. Waitress by the name Josephine was extremely rude from the very beginning, never even offered drinks, then after forgetting to put in my daughters food, without any type of apology proceeded to try and justify her error blaming it on us. Went as far as to leave the table laughing after i asked for the manager after she was talking over me still trying to justify herself. Ive never felt so profiled in ANY restaurant. We’ve spent anywhere from $40 to a few hundred dollars for a meal and have always had really good experiences. Safe to say we wont be visiting again

   Authentic Italian restaurant, the menu options are an excellent value. The dining experience overall is very pleasant. They will close the restaurant forever this coming May 15, 2022 I highly recommend this restaurant. Visit Canaletto before they close.

   Enjoyed our dinner, service was excellent. The restaurant is, unfortunately, closing but the experience was very nice.

    Restaurant is closing soon. I had the special which sounded good but was a large piece of baked breaded chicken with some rocket lettuce and flavorless beans on it. I ate it but had to get some marinara to dip it in. Was dry. I think because this is closing the good chefs may have left already. I only review very good or very bad experiences. This one the latter. Sweet hostesses and knowledgeable waiter. Issue was the food.
