Delicious!!! Will go again!
I loved this place, all the tables were spaced out perfectly (due to Covid restrictions). I definitely plan on coming back. Nice variety on the menu and reasonably priced. Tried their own vineyard's wine and it was amazing! The Tomahawk special for two was perfectly seasoned and more than enough. Service was excellent and the parking lot was a huge plus. Definitely give it a try. You won't be disappointed!
Excellent service, paid extra attention, food was amazing
A delightful old school neighborhood restaurant a hop and skip from Newark Airport located in the Ironbound District of Newark. Excellent crab and shrimp appetizer followed by a perfectly grilled rib eye steak. In fact, much better than most high end steak houses. The flan for dessert was freshly homemade with a silky texture. The staff was very attentive and gave great recommendations. We will visit again on future trips in and out of Newark Airport.
We decided to go with appetizers alone. Everything came out hot and was fresh.
The food here is SUPERB!!! The wait staff is very attentive.
Tasty food, good service, a bit of a casual place.
What a terrific find! The Paella Valencia is spectacular. Off the beaten path but well worth seeking it out. The Sangria is a must!
Fabulous food friendly wait staff and warm atmosphere
Use to come to this restaurant ally few years ago and it was good. Haven’t been there in awhile and decided to take my family for dinner. Food was very mediocre but what made it worse was the service from our waiter! Was very rude and not professional at all. Sorry won’t be going here anytime soon. What a shame!!!
This place is jewel. food was great and service impeccable.
I chose this restaurant based on good reviews. Unfortunately, 2 out of 5 Entrees were inedible. Then the Salmon with Crab and the steak were tasty, but gave us stomach pains. Appetizers and dessert were okay. On the bright side, the servers were friendly.
nice atomosphere, nice service, excellent food. I wanna visit again.
We have not been to this restaurant in awhile but it is still very good. The food and service were very good and it was early on a Friday nite so it was pretty quiet. We would definitely go back.
Waiter could have been more attentive, food was very good & good atmosphere, decent amount of parking
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was very slow, which we were OK with since we needed to kill time. Bathroom needs updating. Could not flush and card machine was down. Cash only.
We came here super randomly because my mom wanted some Portuguese food for her birthday. It was INCREDIBLE. Portions were large. The Paella was absolutely amazing. I would go back every single day if possible.
Fabulous food and staff..my new favorite place to go
The grilled octopus and garlic shrimp were delicious appetizers. The portion could have been a bit larger but otherwise it was perfect. The paella rice was moist with perfectly cooked seafood. And the sangria was so good that we ordered a second pitcher for the table. It’s worth the ride to Newark for a nice night out
Overall good experience
Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Clean and romantic setting.
very pleasant experience
Great food and the place is huge. There is also ample parking.
It was ok. My friend and I split the seafood paella. The shrimp were over cooked and neither the lobster or scallops were sweet or had any real taste for that matter. The paella was just average. My husband had the rabbit which he did not care for. He has had rabbit at different restaurants before and didn’t care for it here. He later admitted he should have had seafood. The place is older, could use a little love. Doubtful we will return.
Ordered our filet mignon medium, they were all well done. Sangria is just juice. Wanted to like this place because of the raving reviews but unfortunately that wasn't our experience.
We had excellent service and the food was great.
This is a great Portuguese restaurant. The sangria has to be the best I have ever tasted. The food is always amazing and the dessert is unlike other places in the area. The ambiance is old world classy. It can be a bit noisy if they have a party going on upstairs but otherwise, a very good hidden gem. I will be returning.
A wonderful experience. Nice, quiet and extremely romantic. My lady loved it, thank you very much.
Food was incredible and service was just as good, I highly recommend this place
Was looking for a restaurant on the way back to the airport and discovered this local Portuguese gem. Super authentic, terrific menu - wanted to try everything. Wonderful service
We loved the garlic shrimp! All the food and sangria was great. Pretty place with a parking lot. Highly recommend
We went early so it was not too busy. Great service and could not have been better. Had the seafood Paella which was delicious! Several of the Mussels didn’t Open so we couldn’t eat them. The prices are a bit high but safe neighborhood to eat when in Newark. Overall really good restaurant
Everything was excellent except the ac didn’t work and it was as hot inside as outside, so about 87 degrees.
i have been coming to this restaurant for almost thirty years .Great food great service.just local folks no tourist .
Food was excellent, my only complaint was the waiters attitude. Very unapproachable, seemed everything we asked for was a bother to him.
The garlic shrimp app was outstanding. The steaks were excellent too, particularly the picanha. Serving portions are very generous.
Whole heartedly recommend this place.
First time to this restaurant but not the last. Portion sizes are great and served very well.
Being hungry helps because there is a lot to eat.
Each of us had something different, steak, chicken and paella, so we could share and it’s was all great,
Service was great.
Desserts were great.
We will be back.
Also, they have a small parking lot so that makes it easier for parking.
It was terrific
Went for an intimate birthday dinner - the food and sangria were great and the staff was wonderful. Will definitely be going back.
