Camel's Crossing has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants, particularly for a special occasion or a romantic evening out. The ambiance is one of the key features to this restaurant and to the overall experience. They have taken a small footprint and made it have a big presence, from the lighting and decor to the tall u-shaped booths that make you feel private yet accessible at the same time, to the smooth, old-school music that seems to be playing in the background each time. The service is impeccable, attentive yet unobtrusive. The servers and the owner routinely stop by to ensure you have everything you need and that everything is to your liking. Each is well-versed in the menu and are able to make recommendations based on your stated preferences. Then there is the food. Each time we have been, we have opted for the prix fixe menu (you have multiple choices within each course). This is truly the best way to fully experience what this restaurant has to offer. The flavors are a unique take on the dishes, with just the right amount of spice. The portions are generous yet never leave you feeling you have eaten to excess. I truly cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant. My only negative is that we don't live within walking distance so that we would be able to dine here even more frequently.

We absolutely love Camel’s Crossing! If you want AMAZING food that you can’t find anywhere else in Boise- this is the spot. We did the four course special for $49 per person and it was truly an incredible dining experience. The octopus tacos were unreal...we are still talking about it. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a date night...the food isn’t rushed to your table so that gives you time to talk. I appreciate that this restaurant isn’t in a hurry to turn over tables. YOU HAVE TO GO if your are looking for a different food experience.

Things I look for at restaurant:
1. Waiters with knowledge about food and are great with recommendations.
2. Delicious and creative food.
3. Clean bathrooms.
4. Ambiance and style.

Camel’s Crossing nailed all 4!

As always, our experience at Camel's Crossing was superb. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, the wine was excellent and ambiance comfortable. All 8 dishes that my husband and I tried were fun, inventive, complex and delicious. We continue to think that the chef at Camel's Crossing makes the most unique, chef-driven food in Boise and hope that he gets nominated for a James Beard Award. The $49 4-course meal is a great value and we look forward to dining at Camel's Crossing whenever we can make the excuse the splurge a little or go for Happy Hour. I am thankful that Boise has this little gem. The one improvement that I think could be made is to offer espresso, as a cappuccino is a perfect accompaniment to dessert, in my opinion.

We have been here numerous times and its our favorite spot. Although, this time I was disappointed. The $26 steak I ordered were three small strips. Not nearly enough to be considered an entree, more like a small plate. I have gotten a steak here before and it was an actual larger piece of steak. Three 2inx2.5in strips is a really sad meal per value.

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback! We just changed the cut we are using for the steak. I'll chat with the chef about how we're portioning it and preparing it - it should be the same size we've always done. ~Caitlin McCoy, Owner

Scott the owner was attentive to details, very welcoming. Food options were superb with much of it sourced locally. The butternut squash was immensely satisfying. The four course option offers a fantastic pricing considering all of the outstanding selections.

Question - what days are u open during Thanksgiving week? I’d really like to bring my Tahoe family to Camels Crossing during this time period.

Thanks
