Interesting restaurant in quaint neighborhood, some difficulty in parking, and it helps to know how to parallel park. The wine list was a bit pricey. Excellent soup, and kudos on the octopus.

One of the best restaurants we have been to in the Boise area. I love that they source from their own garden and local farms.

My wife and I visited Camels Crossing for the very first time and were completely blown away. The food was even better than I expected based on some of the reviews I had read. We ordered the Grilled Octopus starter, and Idaho Carrot Steak and the Miso Cod entrees. All three dishes were cooked to perfection. Our server Kate explained every dish when it was presented. The service throughout our meal was spot on. We will definitely dine here again on our next visit to Boise.

Camel's Crossing is my favorite Boise restaurant. The food is wonderful and beautifully presented. The wait staff knows the menu, can answer questions, and is generally charming. The owners are super nice.

Fine detail to every course --quality of food, presentation, and service. Not sure how the chef does this, but the $49 dinner was amazing.

Superb food and service, innovative and delicious preparations, decent wine list. Waitress was appropriately attentive and quite knowledgeable—she described the ingredients of each dish; a nice touch. The $49 four course dinner option is the way to go. Very good value. We will go back...soon.

This is the best restaurant in Boise. Great food, fantastic multi-course meal, and impeccable service. Great wine and beer list, too. It's frankly a steal for the quality of the food.

Excellent food and service as always. I still can’t get over how great the grilled asparagus is but the Brussels spouts dish is nearly as good. The toasted marshmallow cream with s’mores desert is phenomenal!

Hi Sammi ~ Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the menu did not offer you enough variety. We have a very small kitchen (99 square feet) so we are limited in what we are able to offer. Best, Caitlin McCoy, Owner

The service was outstanding and the food was amazing. The grilled asparagus with smoked hollandaise sauce made a traditional vegetable dish into something unique and delicious. The Wygu beef was the best I have had in Boise. I plan on being a regular customer at Camel’s Crossing.

The food was very good, but the restaurant, as most in Boise, lacked sufficient Vegan choices. They had a few which was nice, but nearly all the other dishes could not be modified to suit our requests.

Camel's Crossing
Responded on May 1, 2019

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the meal and am sorry that we were not able to provide sufficient vegan options. We have very limited kitchen space, and modifications in general are not easy to pull off. I realized that our profile lists us as "vegan", which can be misleading, as is not our intent to be a primarily vegetarian restaurant. I removed that category to avoid future confusion. We will continue to offer vegan options as we do now.

We will absolutely return again for dinner. Unique menu for Boise and delicious plates. You simply cannot pass up the 4 course option. We've eaten at nearly every top rated restaurant in town and Camel's Crossing is at the top of the list. It's a unique atmosphere. If you want run of the mill steak and potatoes, go somewhere else. Highly recommend the wagyu steak!

This was my Grandmother's and my first time dining at Camel's Crossing. Our waiter, Branden, was an integral part of making this evening so great. Branden has a fantastic and polished presentation method and is more knowledgeable about the particular ingredients than a large number of waiters at other similar restaurants. My Grandmother and I both thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, bottle of wine, and each course of the meal. I'm extremely glad that we decided to make our reservation at Camel's Crossing.

We really enjoyed our dinner and will be back soon. It is a nice, quiet place to have a wonderful meal that is creative and tasty. The special pasta was not good. the tomatoes overpowered it and it had to much citrus. the butter for the bread should not have honey in it. That ruins good butter. The potato soup was delicious. The salmon was delicious.

Camel's Crossing is one of the top two restaurants that I would recommend in Boise. Service is very timely, flavors are out of this world! Many beautiful unique surprises during each course. Highly recommended for people that are gluten intolerant. Yummy Gluten free bread is served if requested. I highly recommend the 4 course meal for $49. Your taste buds will thank you for this wonderful excursion around the world in flavor!
