Great selection of fish, meats, AND vegetarian items--deliciously prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to the next time!
Interesting restaurant in quaint neighborhood, some difficulty in parking, and it helps to know how to parallel park. The wine list was a bit pricey. Excellent soup, and kudos on the octopus.
One of the best restaurants we have been to in the Boise area. I love that they source from their own garden and local farms.
Deliscious, fresh, and unique. Service was excellent- the wait staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Best restaurant in Boise - at least out the ones I have tried :)
My wife and I visited Camels Crossing for the very first time and were completely blown away. The food was even better than I expected based on some of the reviews I had read. We ordered the Grilled Octopus starter, and Idaho Carrot Steak and the Miso Cod entrees. All three dishes were cooked to perfection. Our server Kate explained every dish when it was presented. The service throughout our meal was spot on. We will definitely dine here again on our next visit to Boise.
Camel's Crossing is my favorite Boise restaurant. The food is wonderful and beautifully presented. The wait staff knows the menu, can answer questions, and is generally charming. The owners are super nice.
Amazing menu, amazing service. One of the best meals I have eaten. The attention to detail in the sauces, seasonings, reductions, cooking techniques.. beyond all!!
Fine detail to every course --quality of food, presentation, and service. Not sure how the chef does this, but the $49 dinner was amazing.
Wonderful food and excellent service. Great place to celebrate our wedding anniversary with a romantic candlelight dinner for two....absolutely perfect!
Superb food and service, innovative and delicious preparations, decent wine list. Waitress was appropriately attentive and quite knowledgeable—she described the ingredients of each dish; a nice touch. The $49 four course dinner option is the way to go. Very good value. We will go back...soon.
This is the best restaurant in Boise. Great food, fantastic multi-course meal, and impeccable service. Great wine and beer list, too. It's frankly a steal for the quality of the food.
Excellent food and service as always. I still can’t get over how great the grilled asparagus is but the Brussels spouts dish is nearly as good. The toasted marshmallow cream with s’mores desert is phenomenal!
Amazing food and atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
Went for the first time this past week. Absolutely fabulous! Food excellent, atmosphere perfect, service exceptional.
The menus need to be update. Not much to choose no variety. The food portion too small and expensive.
Hi Sammi ~ Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the menu did not offer you enough variety. We have a very small kitchen (99 square feet) so we are limited in what we are able to offer. Best, Caitlin McCoy, Owner
The service was outstanding and the food was amazing. The grilled asparagus with smoked hollandaise sauce made a traditional vegetable dish into something unique and delicious. The Wygu beef was the best I have had in Boise. I plan on being a regular customer at Camel’s Crossing.
Great experience all around the waitress suggested some food and it was perfect we will definitely be back soon
We just love this place. Service is stellar and the menu is creative, delicious and served up with great care. Definitely one of Boise's North End treasures! Cheers!
Phenomenal experience! Unique flavors in every dish.
4 course dinner was delicious. Roasted Cauliflower and fennel soup was amazing!
s'mores dessert - graham cracker cookie, chocolate ganache, toasted marshmallow ice cream - fantastic! Good wine. Parking is a nightmare but we would go again.
Great food and service!
The food was very good, but the restaurant, as most in Boise, lacked sufficient Vegan choices. They had a few which was nice, but nearly all the other dishes could not be modified to suit our requests.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the meal and am sorry that we were not able to provide sufficient vegan options. We have very limited kitchen space, and modifications in general are not easy to pull off. I realized that our profile lists us as "vegan", which can be misleading, as is not our intent to be a primarily vegetarian restaurant. I removed that category to avoid future confusion. We will continue to offer vegan options as we do now.
Excellent on all measures. Great personal service and food. Glad to see that they are serving full menu again.
We will absolutely return again for dinner. Unique menu for Boise and delicious plates. You simply cannot pass up the 4 course option. We've eaten at nearly every top rated restaurant in town and Camel's Crossing is at the top of the list. It's a unique atmosphere. If you want run of the mill steak and potatoes, go somewhere else. Highly recommend the wagyu steak!
This was my Grandmother's and my first time dining at Camel's Crossing. Our waiter, Branden, was an integral part of making this evening so great. Branden has a fantastic and polished presentation method and is more knowledgeable about the particular ingredients than a large number of waiters at other similar restaurants. My Grandmother and I both thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, bottle of wine, and each course of the meal. I'm extremely glad that we decided to make our reservation at Camel's Crossing.
This restaurant is amazing! We went there for my husband’s birthday and he was so impressed and said, “we are coming back!” Food was excellent as well as the service!!!!!
Creative and delicious. This is a little gem in Boise's North End. Aesthetically fun atmosphere, and a good place for conversation, as it's fairly quiet. Dressed up or down, you'll feel right at home.
My only complaint was our proximity to the bathrooms and hearing the toilet flush during dinner. Everything else was absolutely delightful — I will be back.
Thank you for nice review & taking the time to provide feedback! Sorry about the restroom noise - if you leave a note on your next reservation, I'll make sure to put you at a different table. Caitlin McCoy, Owner
We really enjoyed our dinner and will be back soon. It is a nice, quiet place to have a wonderful meal that is creative and tasty. The special pasta was not good. the tomatoes overpowered it and it had to much citrus. the butter for the bread should not have honey in it. That ruins good butter. The potato soup was delicious. The salmon was delicious.
Cannot recommend this place enough. Dining room is intimate and expertly decorated. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. The food!! I had the Four Course Dinner which was a great value. Good portions, great presentation and everything was delicious. Will definitely be coming back.
Camel's Crossing is one of the top two restaurants that I would recommend in Boise. Service is very timely, flavors are out of this world! Many beautiful unique surprises during each course. Highly recommended for people that are gluten intolerant. Yummy Gluten free bread is served if requested. I highly recommend the 4 course meal for $49. Your taste buds will thank you for this wonderful excursion around the world in flavor!
Always a delicious, seasonal meal. The carrot steak is a fantastic meal for anyone - from vegan to meat eater. Knowledgeable and attentive staff.
We didn’t even know this place existed - so happy we found it. Loved everything about it!
It’s too dark and too loud. The waiter was nice and funny. The food was above average. But it’s way too dark and way to loud. That overshadows the whole experience.
Hi Robyn ~ Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the music and lighting overshadowed everything. Please know that we are always happy to make adjustments to either so that you can enjoy your experience. Caitlin McCoy, Owner
Delicious dinner, innovative menu, and great service!
Excellent food and service. One of the best places in Boise!
What a lovely experience! This would make a great date night, but it was an enjoyable evening catching up with a friend. The service was amazing, as was the food. Great ambience. I’m looking forward to returning.
Once again, tremendous. Great to get to know the owner. He took care of me front and center at the chef's counter.
Everything was awesome!! I was impressed with the food and the service! Can’t wait til my next visit!
I dine at Camel's Crossing as often as I can. The food is delightful, the service wonderful, and I never feel awkward about being in a wine bar and not drinking wine.
