Calusa at Baker's Cay Resort Key Largo
Everything was wonderful except my steak came with white mashed potatoes I asked if I could substitute sweet mashed potatoes and was charged nine dollars to have them as a side. I wasn’t given more I was giving an equal substitutes little scoop w/ my steak and that was ridiculous other than that it was fabulous.
We loved our dinner at Calusa! It’s not cheap, but the server was great and made it very special for our son who was celebrating his 13th birthday. It was by far the best meal we had during our stay in the keys
Family dinner night
One of best steaks I’ve ever had. Fantastic food from appetizers to desserts.
Gorgeous sunset. Perfect service.
Our server Ronaldo was super. He was very friendly, attentive, and was really interested in us having a nice dinner. The food was also excellent. We will return again.
Incredible experience, I didn't know existed a place like Baker's in Key Largo. Attention to details was unbelievable, even the hand sanitizer was smooth for the skin.Food delicious.
No need to eat off-property when staying at Baker‘s Cay. Calusa offers an excellent dining experience with attentive service, delicious menu choices cooked with fresh ingredients,, and a resort-casual ambience. Try to get a table on the veranda to catch the sunset. Appetizer and dinner “specials of the day” are offered nightly (ask for them) and the prices are very reasonable when considering the attentive service, food quality (nice portions, too), and ambience. Top notch and highly recommended.
Shrimp and grits and lobster pasta were delicious. Best part was our waitress, Tiffany! Great service and food!
Most of the food was very good. The osso buco was not a good example. Very
fatty and a bit tough. Because this dish is usually cooked for a long long, it should
have been extremely tender.
Our waitress (Tiffany) made the overall experience a joy. She helped us sort out
wine issue we were having by giving us a taste of several bottles. The one we
ultimately chose was very good.
She saved the day for us. Otherwise this review would have been only "fair."
Absolutely the best food I’ve ever had at a Hilton. Top notch chef.
Just ok. Service was good but food was nothing to call home over. Choosing to eat dinner off property tonight instead
We enjoyed everything! The food, our server, Tiffany, and the gorgeous sunset! Best menu of the higher end restaurants in the area!
We loved it All! Food was amazing! Service was exceptional!
The food is superb & is matched by friendly and top notch servers!
Overall it was a very good dining experience however I was really disappointed that even though I called and advance and someone called me back to confirm, no one ever brought my husbands cake to celebrate his birthday. There is also supposed to be a champagne toast at Sunset. They gave it to every single table except ours.
Experience was exceptional. Food was perfect!!!
Food is very good! Seated outside with beautiful hammock and water views.
Lovely dinner and great service! Beautiful view.
The food was fantastic! Plus the view and ambience was amazing!!
I love this place and have been here numerous times and will continue to go. However even with a reservation the wait was quite a while but more disturbing was to observe staff with masks under their nose. I didn’t want them anywhere near me. Why wear a mask if it’s by your chin? It’s meant to be mandatory for employees to wear them. I hope they don’t get forced to close due to non compliance.
I hope the manager starts enforcing the rules.
Very disorganized and slow. We ordered our food and had to wait 2 hours to receive it.
Justin was awesome.
Delicious food and excellent sunset views!
Definitely date worthy.
Nice view and a solid breakfast.
Tiffany was the most phenomenal server we have ever had! We will definitely be back, great food and because of her!
nice place , kids friendly, food is awesone specially the Hummus, servixe was great , not sunset for our dinner =<
Conch fritters, YES
Great experience! Our waitress, Tiffany, made the whole breakfast amazing. So kind, patient and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back.
Vacation stay for few days during spring break
Food is great. Wait staff was friendly & attentive. The view is stunning. Quiet & peaceful for the most part.
Great views, wonderful staff outstanding food!
Beautiful outside dining with incredible view of the sunset. Complimentary sunset champagne toast...nice touch. It’s tough to find fine dining on the Keys...this place is remarkable.
If you're in Key Largo and want a nice dinner, Calusa is a good candidate. The kitchen does a very good job executing on a limited number of enticing options. The setting, being right on the water, is also very inviting. Service is professional and while not the most inexpensive place to eat in the area, it is a good value.
Terrible service, excellent food.
Took 15+ min for our waitress to show up and get us water. When she finally did, we were ready to order everything - so ordered appetizer and meals. The appetizer took over 20 min to arrive and then only one meal came out. The guy who brought the food wasn’t sure what happened to my friends meal so he went to find the waitress Virginia. She shows up 5 min later and never put in the order apparently. I was done with my meal by the time she brought my friends meal. Her attempt at resolution was giving us a free dessert - which we didn’t even want ... we were out of water for over 20 minutes also, which is all we were drinking. Inexcusable. It wasn’t even remotely busy - we were her only table. She wasn’t even apologetic about it either ...
So much for a great meal our last night in town. So disappointing.
The food was good but not outstanding. Overpriced for what it was. Menu felt limited. Beautiful location and decor though. Appreciated that we could get kid-friendly items even though they werent shown on menu.
Food was average. The fail was not the wait staff but rather the kitchen. 60 minutes to get the main meal out.
We drove all the way from Miami and where told that since it was a long weekend only people staying on the resort where able to visit the restaurant and bar so we were not able to have dinner or drinks at the bar.
Fantastic. Must try the blackened Grouper. It was amazing! My daughter had the surf and turf and the filet was so soft that you could cut it with the fork. My wife's Mahi was delicious too. Overall the best food we ate at our trip to the keys. As usual in the keys, even with a reservation, they make you wait for at least half an hour to be seated.
Get the short rib - phenomenal!
