Calle Onze
Happy hour menu has only few options. The prices are good but the options are very simple. I have been in other places where they let you have small bites or best menu items, that allows customers to try and comeback for plates on full version
We had drinks and we love the visit! The menu called for great food
Excellent food and attention, just a little late in the delivery of the dishes, but it was worth the wait.
Omg so good. Creative dishes. I will return
Went for NYE and had an awesome time with a great prix fixe menu and awesome dj.
Nice ambiance; excellent service; food was tasty; dessert was quite good; drinks were expensive
Great! Food came out quickly and it was delicious as always!
Service was great. Love the happy hour menu. Drinks were fantastic
Everything was top notch. Kayla was amazing, she explained menu items and even went above and beyond by getting the toddler in our party custom pancakes. Cocktails and food were also incredible along with the attentiveness from the manager. Thank you for a great experience, we’ll be back ASAP!
Good food but on the pricey side. Service needs a little more work. Also the prices on the menu didn't match what we were charged.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the service and food were above average.
We came here on a Saturday night with reservations. We were seated immediately and choose the enclose patio as main part of restaurant was a bit noisy. The server was really busy so not snappy but good service. The food was excellent. We had queso flameado as an appetizer that was excellent. For a main course we had enchiladas with Kobe Beef. Great choice, the flavor was excellent. I also enjoyed the Mexican Mule. Make a reservation and try this one.
I celebrated my 27th birthday here and will gladly say I’ll never be back. I brought a group of friends from New Orleans and New York to enjoy this restaurant that I was so excited about and was sadly disappointed. The tres leches pancakes were dry the bread pudding french toast was very plain. My tamales were good but they originally said they couldn’t make it for me. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way we never knew who our official waiter was. I asked one waiter if I could order oysters she said “they were out” It was 12pm which I found odd. I looked at a table next to me and they had just finished 2 plates of them so I asked another waiter and he said they only serve them for dinner. Odd right? I just saw a table enjoying oysters. I then asked to speak with a manager and he said he would ask the chef. He came back out and said that the chef said that he would make them so we put in our orders for the oysters five minutes later he comes back out and says that they are out of oysters. I speak with the manager and she was very condescending and offered complementary dessert it was very rude about it when I try to explain how unprofessional all of the waiters and staff was at this establishment. I will never be back and I am upset because I had high hopes for this restaurant.
Worst service
The tacos were very good especially the barbacoa. Loved the queso flameado! Want to go back and try to fish tacos. The only criticism is that it was a little loud. We could barely hear the server, but everything else was great, especially the price.
Portion size was very small - 3 scallops cost $29 was unreasonable for the money. However, they were absolutely amazing in taste. The fish was very nice but it was served on an excessive layer of wilted green onions and they overpowered the amazing fish and basically ruined the rice bed it was all served over. Will return but not often for the value.
We had the octopus, while it tasted good, the octopus could have been cooked better. We also had the elote which was good. My wife ordered the snapper, which was OK definitely overpriced. I had a taco al carbon which was great and al pastor which was ok
Took almost 2 hours to get our food. We got the wrong bills charged to us. They were out of part of our order. Just a really poor experience all around. The cocktails were good though.
Love reservation availability for bar! Tried several items on menu all yummy! Super friendly
Hoped for a fun evening with my daughter but we were seated by the kitchen door at a table with a a dirty napkin and cardboard box. A plate of food was dropped by our table and only large pieces were picked up. The margarita was terrible and my daughter found a hair in her food. I will not return.
First time to have brunch at Calle Onze...and we will go back for another.
The Restaurant atmosphere was great, our server was attentive and overall great. The food was fine. $22 seemed excessive for a plate of ceviche that didn't have any large pieces of fish and wasn't very exceptional. The octopus we ordered was overcooked and chewy. The shrimp salad was also overpriced. Probably won't be back.
Food was overly fried. The server did not understand my vegan diet and brought me an incorrect order. The server was unaware of a hot toddy as well. I understand that I cant expect them to know everything , but I prefer if they were apologetic at least.
The restaurant is very attractive. It was half full, yet noisy and the background music had an annoying beat that was distracting. The grilled fish tacos were tasty but the fish pieces were small and overwhelmed by the large corn tortillas.
Waited 20 minutes for service after sitting down at a table. Food was barely warm. Generally entire staff was lackadaisical and very aloof. Food was sub par.
Cute place with tex mex
In the Heights. Mostly standard fare with a few twists. The chips and salsa were great. Fresh and hand made ceviche was by far the best dish we had. A large portion we shared. Fresh snapper pineapple and avocado with siracha. Snappy and needs a beer! Margaritas were good though my partner thought a little too sour. The tacos were disappointing. Meat was dry and tortillas were thick and tasteless. The rice and charro beans saved the dish as they were well seasoned and beans had a nice smokiness from bacon. The price for value was high, especially for this type of food. Nice patio and bar. We would return for happy hour or snack--
The food was good. The cheese enchiladas were delicious. The service was very slow.
Excellent service and excellent food!
I always love coming to Calle Onze. Great energy and even better food!
Two of our orders took a very long time to come
Out and another came out incorrect and was sent back. Service was slower than normal it looked like there were not enough servers. Food was good but overall over priced on some items. This was our 4th or 5th time here and the first time I have been disappointed.
wife and I had drinks and love those oysters....service was fine
Went there for my birthday and had a great time period the food was excellent and the service was outstanding.
Had family in from out of town. The only complaint was that our waiter seemed to have way too many tables on his own. He asked about drinks and half the table was still deciding and he never came back until we were ready to order our food; in which we had to flag him down to order.
This was my 2nd visit. It’s refreshing to note that the bad Service hasn’t changed. Same great food. Beautiful interior. Great happy hour. But the staff continues to gather at the bar and chit chat with the bar tender and not do their job. 15 min to get my first drink. No apology. Just there to socialize.
Hi Angela, Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We are happy you enjoyed the venue and food, and apologize for the service you received that is not up to our standards. We would like to look into this further. If you could, please contact us at the email we are providing to discuss further. Thank you!
We live in the neighborhood and love having this restaurant as an option, but our last experience was not great. The valet was terribly backed up. Then it took more than 10 minutes to speak to the hostess to confirm our reservation. Finally seated we were given one menu (that was covered with salsa and guacamole) to share between the four of us. We were each given a half glass of water and the bottle did not stay on the table. The only saving grace of the experience was that our waitress Elizabeth was amazing!
Great food, great service and cool ambiance. Love this place!
Came here for a Saturday date night with my wife.
They provide complimentary valet (always a good sign in my opinion). When we informed the hostess of our reservation they tried to put us at a table directly in front of the entrance, we requested a different table and they politely accommodated us.
I didn't get our server's name, and she was difficult to understand but, she provided excellent and expedient service.
We started with the Queso Flameado, which was basically a skillet of melted machego cheese, queso oaxaca, chorizo, pablanos, and mushrooms. It came with flour tortillas and it was delicious. It is a VERY filling appetizer so, consumer beware.
For entree, I had the tacos al carbon which was three flour tacos with beef, tomatillo sauce, carmelized onion, and house-made cilantro sauce. It was a simple and tasty dish.
This establishment has terrific authentic Mexican food. Definitely worth a visit.
Good margs, good food, nice ambience, not too loud but energetic. Happy Hour here is great!
The ambiance with the Latin American music was really nice and we appreciated the possibility of sitting outside. The food however was very disappointing...the beef fajitas salad was average, beef was way too salty. My husband took the octopus which was extremely chewy....we hadn’t been back for at least 6month but as food was not impressive ...we will not be back :-( sadly as we really live just a few blocks away...
The restaurant seating is tight, and the noise level is loud. The waitress couldn't hear us and we couldn't hear her. This resulted in her bringing me the wrong dish, but she fixed it quickly once I flagged her down. If it's this loud I need the waitress to speak up. The pork carnitas were delicious, and there is a big cocktail menu that is hit and miss. The place was modern and crowded on a Friday night. I probably wouldn't bring kids. Overall it was good but you have to be in the mood for a loud dinner.
