Excellent, always excellent. I think this place got better than last (its first) year. Menu changed a bit for the good with more vegetarian options. Everything is absolutely great (including no loud music so keep it this way!)
Fantastic evening with friends. Staff was extremely friendly and responsive. DJ played great tracks. Food was really delicious. As a carnivore, can't believe I am telling you, order the Branzino and side of carrots!
Calissa’s back for the season and the food is even better than last year! My group shared a bunch of apps and mains - the Village Salad, Saganaki, grilled Branzino, Roasted Cancun Farms Chicken, and Peconic Clam Vongole with tagliatelle. Everything was really delicious, and the tagliatelle was some of the best pasta I’ve had anywhere with finesse that you can see and taste. The chicken was incredibly moist, the grilled fish smoky, and the salad made from the sweetest, ripest tomatoes. All-in-all a fantastic dining experience no matter where you’re staying in the Hamptons with an extensive wine list and delicious cocktails. The Greek isle ambiance and live music set this place apart and it all comes together for a fantastic time whether you’re just stopping in for a drink or plan to dine and then dance the night away.
Hour and a half to get a cocktail at the table.
I grew up with heavy greek influence from my family and even visited Greece a couple of times and when arriving to this restaurant I was instantly taken back to my childhood. The atmosphere is both very greek and hamptons incorporated. The food is also very carefully selected to cater the mediterranean lovers.
This was probably the worst dining experience in the hamptons. While the food is actually good, the service, the noise level, the training of the staff is abysmal. There were at least a half a dozen staff members standing around at any time but no one to take orders, and once ordered, no one to bring forth the order.
Additionally, the tables are packed so close together that you have people bumping you at all times. And the acoustics- the noise level is so high that eating out seems like a nightmare.
We couldn't wait to pay our bill and leave!!
Love this place. Great food great fun
Always excellent. Generous portions.
Amazing dinner. Had the lobster pasta along with a variety of fish, salad and dip appetizers which were all incredible. Beautiful interior design and atmosphere. Will be back!
restaurant opening nite of 2018 summer season - awesome start!
food was outstanding (black bass in salt/brisket)
service friendly courteous attentive
The waiters brought me a rum infused with oregano as a welcome treat and to my daughter a berry tea cold drink with oregano touch. Despite that we were the only customers and we felt weird about, the food and the service were excellent and the final bill was decent not too bad. Beside the appetizers platter with tzatziki, spicy feta and roasted eggplant, the menu is not the traditional Greek. It has fish and meat dishes that are more fusion. I liked my octopus and my daughter loved her seafood risotto with roasted ricotta. The side of brussel sprouts with toasted pistacchios were delicious.
This high end restaurant is not ready and is not professional.one expects very much more from an establishment assoc. with Il Cantanori.
Was there Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. Food was pretty good but the service was terribly slow and seemed awkward for what is fairly highly priced restaurant.
Trendy crowd restaurant. Venue lovely but gets very crowded. Expensive menu and high priced wines. Place to see and be seen - not quiet dining
I think calissa is a great addition to the area we loved the corn side dish , the crrudo , the summer salad and the chicken was fabulous and easily splits for two.
I've heard good reviews but the night I dined there was disappointing for the following reasons: prohibitively expensive with some entries $95 and $110 dollars. The food was eh. The chicken tasted boiled and didn't have the right texture. It didn't have a nice crispy skin or presentation. The patio was very buggy. The food took an uncomfortably long time to come out.
The decor was lovely. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
This review is from someone who eats at upscale restaurants and I think gives a fair review. I would pass.
Ambiance was nice, service was good, food and drinks were good but the bottles of wine and most of the food was overpriced.
Good place for people watching . Vibrant bar scene, typical hamptons restaurant.Live music after 9 PM, however you cannot have a conversation as the noise level is very high at that time
a pleasant surprise well worth a visit wait staff was attentive food was better than hoped for
Beautiful place, excellent service, mediocre food at exhoribitant prices.
This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had in the hamptons! After 2 hours, entrees still didn't come! One round of drinks in 2 hours. The worst service and food in the hamptons !! STAY AWAY!
It is extremely noisy in the restaurant and they play background music which causes everyone to talk even louder. We shared corn fritters for the table as a starter and they were good. Two of us ordered the trout as a main course. It was good, but it came with nothing but the trout and a dipping sauce on the plate. The third person had the clams and risotto. That was really delicious. The food prices were quite high.
Food and service were great but the noise level required yelling to hear the person next to you. A real scene in August on the weekend.
Service was poor, food was mediocre and overpriced. The branzino which was marketed and priced as 3 lbs, was 2lbs at best, the lamb was overcooked, grassy and fat. Trata was a million times better. None of us won't return... there are so many lovely places in the Hamptons...
Solid food and wine list. Typical hamptons crowd. Would go again.
Too expensive for bucatini and lobster. Biggest complaint is the meal. Food came to table on the lukewarm side. Seemed like it had been sitting out and did not come to be platted immediately and thereby not arriving to table very fresh. My friend and I already have plans afterwards decided not to comment or send back, but it was disappointing. Appetizer was delicious, fried cheese with fig was outstanding. It was a highlight of the night.
Energetic, vivacious, and elegant appearance for ambience and low lighting created an inviting and comfortable experience.
Overall cost did not match the value but had a decent dining experience.
Fun. Pretty spot, great vibe.
Sorry--not worth the hype unless you just want to people watch. Service horrible--waited over an hour for our food; food recv'd was not prepared as asked; our 8 entrees came out in batches, failing to allow us to eat at same time. Last, having dined on Greek food in the Greek Islands and being married into a Greek family where we dine in Greek restaurants often, this is anything but good Greek food.
Menu may be hard for some but all the food is good and sometimes better than described. Lamb appetizer, saganaki, arugula salad and pork chop are very very good.
The venue is a good spot - but the service was poor and the food not great. I wouldn't recommend or go back any time soon. We tried to order drinks from the outdoor bar and it wasn't sufficiently staffed - no one turned around to take our order after ten minutes. When we sat down, the bus boy tried to be our waiter and barely spoke English and didn't know anything about specials. Finally, a real waiter took our order - and when the food came we were shocked at how large the portions were. It seemed to us that the restaurant is set up to be family style and people should share - something that the waiter should have explained to us. All in all, we were disappointed.
Not a great experience
Food was way overpriced
Service was not good food came before drinks. Portions very small and good mediocre
Comparatively Expensive. Slowwwwww service. So slow they comped us dessert melon slices and limoncello.
Thank you James and staff for another great evening!!!
The fish was dry at best and for $90 for two we sent it back!
Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Calissa on Saturday night. Fresh ingredients and good service made the evening fun. We waited about 10 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation and the restaurant was about 40% full. The wine list, however, is a bit over the top in terms of price. And unnecessarily so because this puts people off from enjoying a bottle. Noticed that a lot of people were drinking cocktails, and not bottles of wine. Maybe the ridiculous prices for wine was the reason why. We ultimately went with a Greek wine, but knew we were overpaying. I realize that this is restaurant life in the Hamptons, but it really was over-the-top and the food was pricey enough.
Good food but some people didn't eat because the food never came out.
The main room is very noisy. If you want something quieter request the room in back.
The martini was gin flavored water and $20.still waiting for the ice for our warm water.we thought the large Greek salad for $26 was barely enough for one person.the only whole fish offered was $55 a pound and 2 1/2 pounds.the chicken was decent but the pork chop tough fatty and tasteless. The main courses came while we were having salad..This was a grade z dining experience
