While the service was on target, and the room was very pleasant with moderate noise, i have to
say we were disappointed in both the food and especially the price of the martini's. The pork came
out generally okay, just a bit dry but not completely moist...but there were no vegetables on the plate, and basically no
sauce/gravy to add to the flavor of the meat. The dourade was a good fish, but in both cases came
out pretty dry, not moist, although we appreciated the fish being filleted by the chef. Again, just the fish on the plate - nothing else.
The price of the two vodka martini's was outrageous - $21.00 per martini, which is a price higher
than most first class restaurants in New York City, and incredibly high for the East End. We were astonished and appalled.
This particular dinner may have been outlier, but based on the experience with the food and
drinks, we wouldn't be coming back. There are just too many other choices on the East End.
The best food I've had in the Hamptons in fifteen years. Perfect bronzino, mezze, salad, carrots, baklava. The service, however, is so appalling that the meal was nearly ruined. It was as though the Three Stooges were waiting on us - completely unprofessional, young, and inexperienced. If Calissa would improve the service, I would eat there weekly. The ambience and interior is meh. Go for the food only.
Overall much better then I expected but the bottle wine selection is horrible. They should really implement a corkage fee.
Gypsy Kings night was amazing! Dream
Great scene and people watching. The food was good but pricey of course!
Calissa is missing something. There was zero energy. From the bartender to the hostess to the waiter - zero enthusiasm at all. The food was overpriced and average.
Nothing special for $40 entrees
No option other than a price fixed menu for a group of 9. Expensive and disappointing and other dishes ordered were at an additional cost . We were referred by friends and other than the drinks at the bar nothing was satisfactory.
Good, fresh fish well prepared! Unfortunately it suffers from Hamptonitis - too expensive for no reason other than it’s the Hamptons. There is no earthly reason for a $30 wine to be $150!
Worst service I have EVER experienced. Such a shame because the food is decent and the ambience is nice for the area.
From the manager, to the hostess, to the server - bad, worse, Terrible.
There are actually Too many things to report/complaints for me to be able or willing to even address them all. The entire party was Shocked at the lack of any service integrity
Great experience! Attentive wait staff and hostess. Cool vibe, even with the kids!
Do not go to this restaurant. Drinks were watered down, food was not good and wildly expensive
Great ambiance, truly a representation of Myconian style. Food was delicious and owner and staff were very welcoming, well done!
This is one of the finest restaurants in the Hamptons without having to pay an extraordinary price or deal with difficult attitude. The food was wonderful. The wine list is very sophisticated but not overly priced. The service is friendly and attentive. The owner, JAMES, Is on the scene making sure that everything is perfect. Highly recommend it.
Midweek dinner. V quiet. Food dull. Not very”greek”much preferred Trata when it was in this space.
This was our second time here. Loved it the first time— they had specials that were amazing — and was looking forward to going back. But it was disappointing. There were no specials. The bass was dry. Selections were limited. The air conditioner seemed to be on the friitz again so the front door was open (90 and steamy out!) allowing for flies to join.
This is a beautiful space in a good location. Step it up!
Calissa was the perfect place to host my 25th birthday. Thanks so much for making it so special.
We went for our 12 wedding anniversary. Food was amazing - especially the calamari and the lobster bacatini Can’t wait to go back! Pricey but well worth it
Avoid this place at all costs. Serious spend your money elsewhere
Calissa invoked the feeling of being on an island in Greece right here in the Hamptons. The decor inside and ambiance outside is on point. The service was excellent: our waiter was very attentive and the owner came to speak to us at our table which was a nice touch. The food was very good but I wasn’t blown away. Appetizers were delicious. The fish was also very good but there wasn’t much there. We left a little hungry. But perhaps a different entree would have been a larger portion. Overall i would go back and try some different things. There was a dj and cool club vibe after 11. We had a great time and would recommend it to others. Great place!
I ate dinner at the bar with a friend. We enjoyed the flavors of the appetizer and main meal, however, the dessert was not very good. The service was extremely poor. We had to keep asking the server for our next order. The bartenders were wrapped up in preparing the sangria and were not very friendly. They definitely could use some training in customer service. My friend and I would probably not go back as a result of this. Service in most restaurants is very good. We were disappointed!
I usually don’t right a reviews, but the service was very poor. We waited 45 min to get an appetizer on the table and over an hour for main dishes
Food was phenomenal- we went early on a Friday night and it got a lot busier.
I tried to like this restaurant because the staff was so nice but the food was so sub-par. The appetizer spreads are not good, our branzino was good but the desserts awful...even the baklava. I’m sorry to give this review because, as I said, the people are nice as is the ambiance. Usual Hamptons food, below par.
Food was expensive and not worth the value
Food ok was a little light on the ingredients it said on the menu. Didnt order entrees, too expensive
As great as it always is and was earlier this season, we were disappointed on our recent visit this month. The food was not at the level it always was, the music too loud, the tables outside were basically plastic foldable $10 tables with dirty table cloth. Under these conditions, the pricing looks even more excessive
Had a great dinner at Calissa. The atmosphere is great.
Food was very good. We had the Farro salad, the heirloom carrot, the Greek village salad, the Branzino, the chicken and the striped bass. All was very good. Service was slow but the server's were very nice. One salad took a very long time and they came over and proactively told us that it was on the house. I respected that they proactively dealt with the issue BEFORE we complained; that is good service.
Asked in advance to be seated outside. We were not seated outside. There were 10+ open tables outside when we left and about 20+ when we arrived. Unnecessary inconvenience.
Terrible all around. Restaurant was 45 minutes late to seat us. The meal took nearly 3 hours start to finish, as the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed. They charge $75 per person for a pre-set family style meal but under-portioned our group and we ended the meal hungry. Steak was a cheap cut an under-cooked and fish was way over cooked. Overall terrible.
Great vibe and one of the better places in terms of food in the Hamptons. Good people watching and gets very lively after 8pm. Outdoor area seems fun for larger groups. Odd to find a good Greek place that doesn't serve Vinsanto.
Horrible experience waitwd 3 hours for cold food and were seated 45 min late
Get more kitchen help.
It took 2 hours for our entrees to arrive. One of us had to leave without eating.
Terrific food. Very nice service
We loved it. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent.
Vey good food. Suggest the catch of the day! Very fresh! Limited menu. Beautiful space that is very inviting. Staff was good but a bit disinterested. Would go back for the food.
Fish was over cooked. AmaZing cocktails
The food was horrible and so overpriced!
DO NOT GO WITH MORE THAN 7 people!!! They have a crazy price fix policy for big parties that’s a big ripoff. The place is cute & the food is good but we left feeling taken advantage of :(
James and kaylee run a very good place here. Food is great, service is friendly and impeccable and the vibe is cool Hamptons. Well
Done. It’s my to go place for the summer !!!
