The food was fair. Chicken on caesar was tasteless. Burger ... we have had better. Service was slow. Very pricey for what was presented. Far better choices in the area.

Amazing atmosphere and wonderful food. Drink was missing a salted rim and service was mediocre but will definitely go back!

Yikes! Where to begin? There are so many areas needing improvement. I do hope the folks in charge are reading the comments. The Good: Location! What a beautiful transformation of the old space. It’s welcoming and has a multitude of different spaces. We reserved the outdoor seating and enjoyed the view and overhead heaters. The music was blasting above our heads but gradually it was lowered. Good playlist though. The Kitchen: Good job! There’s a confident hand there and it shows in the dishes being sent out. The Caesar salad was large enough to serve four, the skewers looked nicely prepared and tasted delicious. The whole branzino was impressive, as well as the sides. The Bad: The entire front of the house! It’s chaos from the moment you walk in. After waiting 20 minutes past our reservation to be seated, we were shown to a table with four bread plates, that’s it. A few minutes later we were given a bottle of water. No glasses, napkins or utensils. After sitting for 15 minutes, a server showed up who had just returned from break. Mary Claire was apologetic and did everything possible to make it a pleasant dining experience. However, the bar made it difficult for her. Four times she needed to return to the table to apologize for either the incorrectly made drink, being out of the ordered drinks and unable to blend a drink. Not to mention, it took 40 minutes from the time we were seated, to get a drink to the table. Food started arriving before that. Management: We are locals and would love to see Ca Surf Club thrive and be successful, but you need to take advantage of the opening buzz and have diners want to return. There’s a lack of leadership on the floor. Regardless of how willing and friendly the staff is to please, there needs to be better coordination of efforts. Good luck, you have all the necessary components!

Despite being open for a couple of months now, they have lots of kinks to work out. The hostesses were positively frazzled and confused. There doesn’t seem to be a system in place to determine which tables are available. Once we were finally sat (25 min after reservation time), we walked by many empty tables that were still piled with dishes. All of the servers were friendly, but service overall was slow. Drinks took 20+ min to arrive, food even longer. Most of our food was tasty, but the Branzino was borderline inedible. The server said it is deboned in the kitchen, but every bite was full of bones. I gave up after 3 bites. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday, which was noted on the reservation and told to the hostess, but she was never offered a dessert. All of this said, the setting is beautiful. We sat outside and enjoyed a fabulous sunset and views.

Loved the look of the place, but service was terrible and the food was so bland. I got a chicken kabobs and absolutely no flavor. Our server was young and maybe new to the job, which is acceptable but he ignored us and then turned us over to another waitress half way through. Asked for items on the menu that we ordered and he never came back with it. A great place for drinks but I would skip eating there next time.

Waited 30 mins for our cocktails to arrive. Waited a long time for our food. Waited a long time for our bill. Then there was a problem with running the card on their end that took more time. The music was too loud too. Beautiful space and the food was OK. Everyone was nice, they just have a lot of work to do in terms of staffing and process logistics.

Everything was perfect! Even though it wasn’t a sunny warm day, we loved sitting on the outside patio.

The atmosphere was beautiful and very beachy chic! Unfortunately, the food left much to be desired… I’m sure they need to work out their kinks because they are still new, but they seemed understaffed… the chips & salsa were a big miss (do not recommend) and the burgers were dry, under seasoned and overcooked (requested medium but 2 out of the 3 burgers came out well done). Their Huli Huli chicken wings were about the only thing our party of 6 enjoyed. Oh, and the ranch that came with it! Hope to see their food and service improve soon.
