My husband and I are on a strict grain-free and dairy-free diet and like the fact that CPK has adjusted their menu to accomodate special diets.

We had an abnormal experience as they were training new waiters, which meant our service was lacking,..a lot, and thus the poor service review above, but I can't say that is the norm here. Usually everything is great. Just an off day. Generally speaking this place is pretty good, close by, and only 10-15% overpriced, which is par for walnut creek.

Priority seating was worthless. We had a party of 6 and still waited over 45 minutes, and i didn't see any other party wait longer than we did. The food and drinks were good, including the gf pizza. The service was sporadic, but friendly. The updated ambience is in line with other walnut creek restaurants.
