    We went for Mother's Day. It was super busy. They were running about an hour past your reservation but we ended up only waiting about 30ish minutes. They were working as hard as possible to get everyone seated. Staff were all friendly and our waitress was great. Food was fantastic. The Knob Hill chicken and California Dreaming salad did not disappoint. Our son ordered a steak and it was cooked exactly as ordered. So despite a very busy night the staff provided us was a great experience!

    Great dining experience and wait staff. Only negative with the visit was the wait even though we had a reservation. I totally understand because it was the busiest day of the year…Mother’s Day!

    I took my mom here for Mother’s Day. I made a reservation for 4 people, a week in advance. Our reservation was for 2:15pm. When we got there, we were told that we would have an hour wait time!!! What?? What’s the use in having a reservation if you have to wait an hour or more!! Crazy!! I was very disappointed!! We ended up waiting about an hour and a half!! Then they seated us at a foldable table, with uncomfortable chairs. It actually looked like a card table with folding chairs with a black tablecloth. The table was small. We had 4 people, and it was very tight!! It looked like they crammed in a few folding tables, sporadically. The only good thing was that our waitress was very nice, the service and food was good. I was just extremely disappointed in having to wait over an hour to be seated after I had made a reservation!! I also was not happy with having to sit at a small, foldable card table!! They need to do better in how they handle special occasions and reservations!

    Seems like they overbooked for Mother’s Day. This was our first time and we had a 2:15 reservation for 4 and checked in at 2:10. Didn’t get seated until 3:21. The food was all really good except the steak was very subpar. The waiter was phenomenal and made up for the one hour wait we had. We’d be willing to try again on a non-holiday to see how service changes and if reservations actually mean something. It’s a good thing we didn’t have plans after the meal otherwise those would have been toast.

    They do not see bookings using open table as reservations. We waited an hour to be called back for our 2pm reservation. Then another 45 mins before food hit the table. Reviews on other sites indicate this is a constant problem.

    This is one of our favorite places to go. They clearly took too many reservations for Mother’s Day and we’re understaffed. They were behind 45 min to 1 hr for those with reservations by lunch time. Other guests were verbally showing they were upset. Lots of mothers were unfortunately sitting frustrated for a long time. The kitchen was extremely backed up and it took a long time to get our food and part of it was cold when it came. Our waitress and the manager were professional and concerned. They were aware of the issues going on that day.

    Our reservation on Mother’s Day was 12:30 and we did not get to a table until 1:40. Every person that came in with a reservation was told the same thing - they had too many reservations made through OpenTable and there would be a lengthy wait. What is the point of a reservation if you still wait over an hour? We had no choice but to wait because everywhere else was also booked up by then. It was ridiculous and I was very displeased by the situation. I have always loved this CD location but after this experience, it’s unlikely I will return. I will say our server was wonderful and the I felt bad for the poor hostesses who were taking a verbal beating from the many (understandably) irate customers. Whoever was in charge of limiting reservations that day needs a new job. Unacceptable.

    We decided to go for Mother’s Day and we’re a little surprised there wasn’t a brunch menu, but we were not disappointed in the quality and the taste of the food and the exceptional service. It was a very enjoyable experience overall.

    It being Mother’s Day made it extra crowded, but the staff did a great job of making sure everyone was as comfortable as possible. They did bring in some extra tables, which were especially flimsy….several people refused to sit at them because they moved around too much. That’s the only thing that wasn’t as comfortable for some.
