During covid, this normally bustling place is fairly quiet. So much of the City feels deserted. However, Cafe Tiramisu is a rare bright spot offering a delicious meal, excellent wine, and welcoming people. We look forward to returning again very soon.
It was absolutely amazing. Not one negative thing to say about this place. It was homey, the food was amazing, service was spectacular!
great place, fun vibe, fantastic food and wine list!
First night in the city and picked the perfect restaurant. Staff was super friendly and food was great
The food was excellent and it had a charming atmosphere. Even though it was chilly outside they had heaters and a closed in patio area to eat so it was comfortable. Would highly recommend for good authentic Italian food!
Genuine great Italian food. Well run for many years by two brothers.
The brothers that ran this place were so friendly and interesting, we would go back just to listen to them talk. But their food was delicious, and their tiramisu and cannoli were one of the best we ever had!
One of the tastiest, friendliest and yet little known restaurants in SF. Everything, all the time is so good.
Showed up at 8:05 for a 8pm reservation. Was told kitchen was closed and we should have been there at 8pm. They told us they would seat us if we order in 5 minutes. The food and service is impeccable. It would have been 5 stars if not so rushed.
Owner/manager was a great customer service leader
We have eaten there many times over the years. It consistently serves excellent food with a super friendly staff. I highly recommend it.
Good food, good service
The food and service were absolutely fantastic! Great outdoor setup! A really great night out!
Great dinner and service!!! Definitely going back soon.
From the delicious calamari appetizer to the pizza to our pork chop with delicious peach compote topping to the sole and spinach....all were SPOT on.
The service provided by Antonio was impeccable and seriously the various wines we drank with the meal were also spot on!
We ate a delicious tiramisu dessert split by two with some lemon cello and port wine perfectly paired with the completion.
We will be back with another couple as we enjoyed being outside.
Beef carpaccio--the best! Petrale, too. Cappuccinos perfect. Antonio waiter was great.
One of the best but most unheralded Italian restaurants in SF.
This was only the second time I have eaten out with a friend since March. We sat outside and felt very safe. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. We loved the pasta dish and enjoyed the dessert as well. I highly recommend it.
There was an additional wait time but to be expected with COVID and such. Owner/manager was extremely kind and made up for the wait. Food was delicious, worth the wait and will definitely go back.
The restaurant uses the outside area that is set with tables far enough apart to be acceptable. The place settings were white linen and clean. Service was slow as there were only 2 servers and they did everything. These 2 guys were friendly but one did not always have a mask on and sometimes it was under his chin. The food was OK but I had octopus and it was undercooked and tough. No questions from the server as to why I left most of it. We also had a Caprese salad that was nice. We had the Oso Buco ravioli which was very good and 2 desserts with a latte. All very good quality. The interior of the restaurant is old and run down so I'm glad we ate outside. The kitchen and bar area is tiny and the housekeeping was something a customer should not see. Best thing on the menu is the pzza bread..............
I was in San Francisco the week of the 3rd for business and made a reservation for a client birthday lunch at Cafe Tiramisu. They are very lucky to have outdoor dining as pretty much EVERY other restaurant downtown was closed. The Owner and Server were great! food was fantastic. We ordered a panna cotta and they brought an outrageous Tiramisu as well. Actually, what the client wanted was their coffee drink the Absolutely Pick Me Up. So, they brought those out as well. Fantastic experience. My client was very happy as was I. Will definitely come back. :-)
Excellent tortellini. Highly recommend pappardelle and lasagna. Wonderful service.
Great place. Covered outdoor seating on a pedestrian-only street. Service was outstanding and food was very good. Really enjoyed the garlic pizza bread, kale salad, calamari, lobster "escargot", and linguini with clams, as well as the Tiramisu, which was outstanding. Nice wine selection. They are also doing pizza to go now. Based on the quality of the pizza bread, I have no doubt the pizzas are outstanding. We went for dinner, but also a great place for lunch.
Everything was amazing
All of their food is amazing and especially recommend their pork chops! Kudos to the chef, it’s the best we’ve ever had. Staff are so friendly and we had a wonderful dining experience.
What fun to sit outside and eat delicious food with you friends and family. This is a superb restaurant serving great food in a safe way. Go support them.
The food was amazing. I had the pappardelle and thought it was incredible. Our server was so knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely be back
This place never disappoints. They are constantly changing the menu. This time I had the pork chop which was outrageous. The squid was served with slices of avocado and was tender. Outdoor dining was special.
Despite the current Covid-19 situation, the restaurant has taken all the precautions to create a safe dining experience.
Great outside atmosphere, excellent food and friendly staff.
Our first time here and certainly not the last.
The owner and she’s are excellent. Definitely coming back.
Service and food was great and host phenomenal.
Really amazing authentic Italian food! We sat outside and it was a bit chilly, I wish they provided blankets or something for the patio. The food was really great though. We got appetizers, lots of pasta and of course, the tiramisu. Everything was delicious and the drinks were very stiff! Can’t wait to go back for another meal but it would definitely be for a special occasion since it was not cheap.
We dined at Cafe Tiramisu for an International Women's Day luncheon, and the restaurant did not disappoint. The food was delicious, service was fantastic, and on top of that they surprised us with four (FOUR!) complementary desserts to help us celebrate. Highly recommend!
Lovely little Italian restaurant with a very wide menu selection for dinner. Wonderful dishes very well prepared and served. Highly recommended.
The portions are ample, the presentation pleasing and the food delicious.
Great ambiance, food was excellent traditional Italian.
Service was good enough.
The food was delicious, The server was great, very friendly and my 3 year old is still in love with the meatballs
As usual, Café Tiramisu did not disappoint. We had 2 newcomers to the group and they also enjoyed their selections. Between all of us, we had a dozen oysters (3 kinds), a Burrata alla Caprese, Classic Veal Meatballs, Pasta Amatriciana, Truffle Stuffed Gnocchi, Spaghetti Nero, "Fruit of The Sea", Linguini Clams, and no room for dessert! However, I have had the Tiramisu before, which is always fabulous! Thanks Giuseppe & Pino, for never disappointing me and my guests.
Food was great but service is at a much slower pace. Go to the restaurant if you have time and want a leisure dinner; don't go if you need to be some place by a particular time. The waitstaff is friendly but they do things at their pace. Husband and I enjoyed ourselves and had a relaxing meal.
