Belden alley used to be a really fun, high energy street. Now it is dead except for cafe tiramisu and cafe Bastille.
The food was very bland and that is not good for Italian, the energy is also very low. If you want great Italian and great energy go to Pazzia on 3rd Street.
The closest experience we’ve had to bring back in Italy! The service was outstanding, they made you feel like home. And the quality of the food was exceptional—again, we felt like we were in Italy! Would recommend this 100x to anyone looking for an authentic Italian meal! Our families will remember this dinner for a long time.
The arugula salad was delicious and so was the Cesar we had to start. The lobster escargot was a clever creation and tasty. The ribeye was excellent.
Sat outside next to a heater which kept us comfortably warm. Service was outstanding. We had salads, beautifully dressed not drenched like you get in some restaurants, pasta with savory sauces served nice and hot, and shared a secondi of chicken scallopini which was tender and delicious. With a glass of wine and a plate of focaccia bread it was a wonderful meal. We were too full for desert but will be back the next time we are in the city and will try to save room for some creme brulee or tiramisu.
Very friendly staff and great food. The kitchen was a little slow and the seating a little cramped in spots. Otherwise, a wonderful evening.
Some of the best pasta and pizza we’ve had outside of Italy.
Don’t miss the ragu, and the carbonara pizza is a MUST!
The food here does not disappoint. Authentic Tuscan food just like Italy.
An amazing restaurant. Great food and staff. So friendly. Awesome wine list. We all loved it. I seldom write reviews but a don’t miss.
Staff is always so nice and the food is always so good with new things to try on the menu every time
We had a pleasant evening dining outside at Tiramisu. The food is incredible—the octopus appetizer was delicious; and the pappardelle Bolognese was out of this world!
We went to Cafe Tiramisu for lunch last week and we were very impressed with the quality of the food and the wonderful service. They were very accommodating. Everything we had was delicious. There were five of us and most of us had the Pappardelle with a meat sauce and of course their delicious Tiramisu. It was also terrific they took reservations which was important to us. We would definitely go back.
Very good food. The reviews are right! The pasta and fish dishes are amazing
Pasta was great!
Excellent Italian meal. Very welcoming - very Italian host and servers. Varied menu
The place was very cute! Staff was nice enough. Food was very mediocre though. We went for restaurant week and it wasn’t worth the money unfortunately.
A great find in great location. Greeted by the owner for a memorable evening
I’m picky with Italian food.
This is a go to place when in SanFran
It was so nice to return to a favorite restaurant. The food had not lost any of its luster, the service was as alert and friendly as we remembered.
Amazing food and service! Highly recommend
We are from Miami and we’re looking
For a good Italian food, we were so lucky to find cafe tiramisu, it is like being at home, the attention was super, the food exquisite, we had such a good time that We can’t wait to visit again. Keep up with the good work.
I adore the “Cacio & Pepe” spaghetti (it’s a special request). Reminds me of “Cacio e Pepe” that I enjoyed in Rome.
This restaurant is s long time favorite for us.
Just like in Italy… you must ask for your check. (Which is so refined…)
Another fantastic meal prepared and served by Giuseppe and staff. The food was excellent and we will certainly return soon.
We had a terrific dinner, it was great to be outside under the market lights.
Great spot for dinner with family. Friendly staff and an awesome host, Pino. The Pappardelle and lamb chops were delicious. Dessert, including Tiramisu, was amazing. Will definitely return.
First time dining at Cafe Tiramisu and we know we’ll be back. Everything we had was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing.
We started with the burrata and grilled octopus...delicious!
My main was the burrata and spinach ravioli, this did not disappoint.
Ended with the best Tiramisu I have had!
Great wait staff and the owners are so friendly and proud to share stories.
Excellent food and service
Took my boyfriend for his birthday and had an amazing time! Food was great, service was spectacular! Definitely will be back.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner. They seemed short staffed and took a little while to figure out who was going to serve us, but then things went more smoothly. Our drinks (Italian Greyhound) as well as wine were quickly served and generously poured. Our Caesar salad was really tasty- lots of parmesano reggiano and anchovies in the dressing. Two of our dinners were outstanding- linguini w/clams and papardelle (pasta soooo tender and delicious ragu) but the buratta cheese & spinach ravioli were rather bland. The housemade bread (pizza dough with rosemary) was an excellent addition to the meal & we would highly recommend.
On a blustery night in SF it was nice to dine inside (wish they had asked everyone to show their vaccination cards tho). We felt bad for the staff hustling around so quickly but we enjoyed our dinner nonetheless. Would totally visit again when we return to SF.
Love this place, very friendly, nice atmosphere, great for dates, family, and friends.
The gnocchi n sausage was an experience not to be missed! But it raised our expectations that the rest of the meal would be as delicious and we were sadly mistaken. Both The cioppino and bronzino were flavorless.
The cannoli had mascarpone that was over whipped and broken with an unpleasant mouth feel.
Loved everything about this restaurant. Quaint, and just what my wife and I needed for a great dinner. We dined there twice during our recent trip to San Francisco.
When about to take our order the waiter didn’t ask us how we were, didn’t say his name and banged on the table to get our attention. Was just very rude, didn’t check up on us not once until he noticed we were done eating. He also sat us, I believe his name was Tony.
I am so sorry” We want the guest to be happy it’s so important for us satisfy our guest. Thank you! for taking the time to point out the problem. a couple think may happen in that night, Waiters are trained to visit your table often so you never have to call them. In any case please accept our apology, and hopping to see you soon and welcome you and your guest with a glass of prosecco. Pino Spinoso
True Italian food made with love and served with pride. Absolutely exceptional experience.
The food was incredible, great ambience and the owner of the restaurant was our service, excellent everything.
Giuseppe made our night! We cannot wait to return! We had him bring whatever items he thought we would want and he did not disappoint. The food was over the top, his ‘service’ even better!
WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. They were very busy when we arrived, and we experienced a small wait. However, the staff was busting their butt to get every one seated and taken care of. We were so happy we waited… the food was fantastic. I ate every leaf from the salad, every noodle from the pasta, and scooped up every last drop of the sauce! I couldn’t leave anything behind. The portions were perfect. The owner/manager was so nice and attentive. HIGHLY recommend to anyone who wants a real Italian restaurant experience with the food to back it up.
We've been coming here for over 20 years and still love it. Food has always great, good service with only minor hiccups over the years. Menu does change with the seasons and what is locally available which is refreshing.
A really wonderful experience. Felt like leaving the Bay Area and entering a whole different world. Our waiter was super sweet and personable. The ambiance was lovely. Food was great. They let us sit for a long time, we didn't feel rushed at all. I'd absolutely go back. Thank you for a great night!!
