   We were celebrating a friend's birthday and the starters and mains and coffee and champagne were all excellent. However the waiter did make it all the more pleasurable because was attentive but not overwhelming and could enjoy a joke with us, All in all a most convivial evening, thank you!

   An excellent meal with very good service. Un-rushed and very relaxing. Will definitely eat there again.

   I only gave 2 stars because my Rib eye steak was sub standard the rest of the meal including my wifes steak was good. The waiter who had looked after us was first class he first of all reheated the whole steak meal but it was the sinue that was the the problem without further adoo he deleted the cost of my steak which I thought was good customer service that deserved 5*.The resturant made us very welcome and we will go back when we are back in the area

   Really nice meal with good service. Only small grumble mussels very tiny.

   A little bit noisy in the early part of the evening; but the food and wine were as good as I had expected. Not a huge amount of choice for vegetarians, but at least not limited to mushroom risotto and vegetable lasagne as so often happens elsewhere!

   We chose Cafe Rouge to have our Anniversary dinner as it is a cosy inviting restaurant close to work, which we have enjoyed many times. The service is usually good but on this ocassion was very lovely indeed - extremely polite and welcoming. The lighting adds to a very pleasant . ambience We use Tesco vouchers when we dine here as the only drawback I find is that it is a bit expensive if we didn't have vouchers

   Staff really didn't seem like they could be bothered to serve us not a good experience.

    After eating at cafe rouge in Norwich and having an excellent meal and service we decided on a day trip to Cambridge and booking cafe rouge again but was disappointed. We sat squashed in a corner table whilst people were arriving just for coffee and sitting at bigger tables, we had chilli prawns for starters as the same in Norwich but they came in hot chilli oil with full shell on so had to wait to eat them as we could not pick them up, I had beef bourginion for main with around 5 pieces of beef in it and my husband had the moules which had no liquid in them we had the same in Norwich but meals were totally different leaving us disappointed.
