The food was super low quality I don't mind paying 65 a person for a brunch but when I'm eating cold flavorless cafeteria food I was beyond disappointed and will not suggest to others or return also the waiters acted like it was fancy and my children were going to harm something they are toddlers my kids eat way better then this on the Dailey.
We attended Easter Brunch and it exceeded my high expectations. The management team, culinary team, serving team and every person working were fantastic. We enjoyed seeing the team working so well together. The food presentation, selection and taste were outstanding. The choices were health minded. The servings were well thought and the care taken for health and safety were met. We felt comfortable yet not restricted. Congratulations to this establishment. We are so happy we joined you.
Wonderful Easter Brunch. Lots of choices. Food tasty and service was exceptional.
Easter Brunch was fantastic!!
Our brunch experience, from the time we arrived to when we left was excellent. Mr. Rosen thank you for an enjoyable Easter brunch!
It was a great experience, food was outstanding and service was very pleasant. Very nice location.
Nice, roomy, and very socially distanced!
The waiters were just out of this world!
News Years Eve buffet!
The food was great but it was a bit pricey and the service was marginal at best.
Food is great just wish there waan ice cream bar with dessert 😁
New Year’s Eve dinner buffet was fantastic! The build your own pasta station was the highlight of the dinner.
Some of the food was delicious, some was dried out from being over-cooked. I wish there was a traditional salad. There were a lot of kale options, which I did not like. Kale salad, kale soup, kale entres. Dinner rolls were hard to find because they were on a back table behind the servers. The photo booth was not there long enough. My family planned on taking photos after dinner but it was gone by the time we finished. Seating arrangement was disorganized. We were supposed to sit at one table but someone was sat there so they sat us at another table. This confused the seaters and we heard more than one argument about how we were in the wrong seats by staff arguing by the table. I really liked the music and the level it was at. I really liked the Santa and the whole set up of that. I really enjoyed the amount of options of food. I liked how each side of the room had the same buffet.
One of the worst brunch experiences we have ever had. Service was awful. We were seated for 10+ minutes before being acknowledged by a server. We received one round of drinks and never saw the server again. Used plates piled up on the table while multiple servers walking by without even a thought of clearing anything away.
There was a photo op with Santa on a stage in the middle of the ballroom. Santa kept pulling out his phone when the line died down. We were wondering which service he gets at the North Pole.
Food was bland and seemed like generic hotel ballroom food. Nothing close to being worth the cost.
To top things off, we had a "Service Charge" of $75 on the bill for a table of 5. I asked what the service charge was for. The guy checking people out did not know. He glanced at several other already paid bills and said some have it some don't. After about 10 minutes, no one could explain, other than to say it should not have been there. They removed it from our bill, but I wonder how many paid without even asking why. They either owe a lot of refunds for an errant charge or they were trying to sneak an extra fee past people in hopes of no one asking.
Never eating there again.
We loved being in the ballroom! You should do it there from now on. Spacious and elegant. Much nicer ambience than the tight restaurant of Cafe Osceola. The Rosen did an outstanding job considering Covid. Everything went well. I hope The Rosen is back to normal by Easter. The food offerings, understandably, were limited, so I hope we can get back to sushi and more appetizers. The prime rib was too overcooked. It was medium and tough. It should be medium rare. Other than that, great job!
Michelle and Shannon in Guest Services were excellent. It was nice having Santa Claus.
All I can add is it was magnificent! The food was delicious.
Disappointing Christmas brunch. Selection of cold seafood was limited. It took a while to get refills. The ballroom was sparsely decorated. I realize adjustments were made due to COVID. Overall happy to be able to be there but hope next Christmas returns to its more festive location with views.
I Love Rosen Shingle Creek events, I look forward to each year coming around to celebrate. Yes, this year was different due to pandemic, but Mr Rosen, as always, put the community in the forefront so we were still able to enjoy our Christmas brunch, and for that I send a HUGE thank you to him.
Myself & family thoroughly enjoyed our time & the food as always..
Happy New Year to all..
Great Christmas buffet! Friendly service, tasty food.
The centerpiece was nice but was too high so you couldn't see people on the other side. We enjoyed the buffet being in a ballroom rather than in Cafe Osceola. We know tables had to be distanced due to Covid-19 but the food was more spread apart and felt less crowded. It didn't feel like you were walking through an assembly line waiting to get to the next station. We would prefer to see it stay this way from now on.
Rosen team never disappoints!
The food wasn’t tasty, everything missing flavors and the service was too slow...
We always go to Shingle Creek Rosen for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We had a wonderful time this year. We liked having it in the Ballroom. It gave everyone extra room to move around. The food was great as usual and the decorations were beautiful. The staff is always courteous and friendly. We also liked being served our food by the staff. I highly recommend going to Shingle Creek for a wonderful holiday experience
What a wonderful and well-managed Christmas Brunch. Truly impressed with how Rosen Shingle Creek handled the current restrictions and still created a festive and elegant atmosphere. Thank you for continuing a lovely tradition and we are looking forward to returning next year.
For $60 it wasn’t that great at all. You couldn’t serve yourself but it was a buffet. So you couldn’t get what you wanted. Everything was cold, and for $60 they only had rare, hard prime rib and cold turkey. The rice was hard and make your own past wasn’t that great. The salad had dressing on it already so it was soggy. Was going to go for New Years Eve, but changed my mind after Thanksgiving dinner.
This was the first holiday brunch occurring at this restaurant since COVID regulations were enacted, therefore not all potential glitches appeared to be worked out. Those glitches were acknowledged as existing however & plans for future modifications during COVID-restrictions were being planned. Harris Rosen [hotel chain owner] is very guest-oriented and appears to listen to suggestions of guests as well as his staff. Staff at his other properties appear to reflect a good management-employee relationship is in place "from the top downward". The dining experience itself was pleasant overall, and the food was very good to excellent quality overall. There appeared to be well-thought out COVID-safety precautions in place (masks, food handling, etc), and staff were all pleasant in spite of probable stress everyone is currently under thanks to COVID.
Not a great deal of vegetarian options, so the overall cost if you don't eat meat is very high for what you get. The food we did get was very good though!
Hotel breakfast buffet was good. Lots of choices and attentive staff made it even better.
I was looking for an upscale breakfast Sunday brunch. There were only lunch items-which were very good. The setting was disappointing. In such a lovely hotel, on lush property, the café seemed like a cafeteria.
We always enjoy Cafe Osceola. We started the New Years Eve buffet about 5 years ago. This year we checked the menu prior to booking. We were happy to see the New Orleans menu had been replaced after two years. This years menu sounded good so we booked. Your Holiday desserts need some attention. We were surprised to hear servers saying they had ran out of items and store bought cookies were added. Ugh.
Mr. Rosen and his superb hotel Shingle Creek presented a New Year's Eve Buffet at Cafe Osceola.
The festive decorations lining the drive up to the hotel was beautiful. Complimentary Valet was offered with our purchase as well. The lobby as well as the grounds were beautifully decorated with Christmas trees everywhere. The outside veranda was decorated as well with a large tree and toy soldiers etc.
The buffet menu was off the charts delicious and plenty of variety to please vegans to carnivores.
Unlimited Champagne to go along with the fine dining was a nice surprise offering.
My favorite was the Paella Valenciana, the honey glazed salmon, and the traditional prime rib.
The dessert station was any sweet tooth's dream. Will definitely attend again. Thanks You Shingle Creek for the great evening to ring in the New Year with my family in such a beautiful setting.
Went there for NYE dinner. Food was Ok.. had lots of different options, service was great
The food at Cafe Osceola is always well thought out and nicely cooked. The selection on the holiday buffets is always vast and varied. The price is very affordable especially compared to similar offerings in the area. The Florida resident discount is a nice perk as well. Parking is easy whether you valet or self park. The decor is always nice for the season but nothing extraordinary.
Fantastic variety of food and a phenomenal staff. We have been to Cafe Osceola for Thanksgiving and Christmas numerous times, and just keeps getting better and better.
Terrible service. Our server forgot my child’s juice 4 times, ketchup 3 times, many of the things on the menu were NOT available, wait in the front of restaurant was crowded and LOUD. Food was delicious though...
Excellent experience. We look forward to the Christmas buffet every time we are in the Orlando area for the holiday.
Great holiday Buffett
Fantastic Christmas buffet. Great and friendly service. Great value and wonderful experience for our family!
