Cafe Longet offers both a beer and wine menu.
Won’t be disappoint. This place is a jewel in our Florida sunshine.
Always delightful always fresh always charming. And that’s just the food. Lovely waitress service, never rushed, calm and clean, just as I like it. Everyone I take lives it and comes back.
The food was excellent as usual and the service was great. Everyone in our party enjoyed their dinner and the evening was extremely enjoyable!
Fantastic fresh bistro and fine-French food brilliantly prepared. Outdoor seating can be booked ahead, too.
Our favorite Venice restaurant!
We had a very nice dinner. Service was excellent, food was very good. We ate outside on the patio behind the restaurant. It was a very enjoyable evening.
Cafe Longet is our favorite restaurant in Venice, FL. Always outstanding.
Cafe Longet always exceeds our expectations.
A treat from the chef before and after the meal.
Recently discovered this amazing restaurant in downtown Venice. Everything is amazing, the fresh baked bread the best!
We had a wonderful, delicious dinner & are already planning to go back! The food, service & ambiance were excellent. This might be the best restaurant we’ve visited in FL!
Birthday dinner...annual event. Partner favorite. Always a great meal. Small wine selection but low prices.
We came to Venice a year ago and we couldn’t wait to come back. Everything is perfection !
Delicious rack of lamb , generous portion and excellent sides, scalloped potatoes and buttered carrots... fabulous meal
We had been there pre-COVID and enjoyed it very much. Our recent return was for lunch and they had set up outdoor seating, which we preferred. Once again the food was very good and the service was prompt and courteous.
Our second visit to this wonderful French restaurant was as great as the first. My husband had hazelnut-crusted rack of lamb and I had scallops over risotto. We shared an apple tart for dessert. The whole meal plus the house Pinot noir was delightful. We will be back.
Great food , great staff ! We are locals on the island and love it here !
We have eaten at Café Longet four times now and there has never been an issue with service or quality of food. I believe it's the best place to eat in Venice and is very well priced, maybe too well. If you haven't eaten here you definitely need to give it a try and if your eating at any big chain restaurant around town, which most of them just reheat precooked food, you should stop. It's not any cheaper to eat at them and the food quality can not match Café Longet's.
Cafe Longet is a wonderful oasis of a little piece of France.
The food is outstanding, the service impecable, and, when we were there on a Friday, the most wonderful classic guitarist greeted us with a full rendition of Antonio Carlos Jobim music which is our favorite, and other very nice selections.
We will try to return whenever possible.
Lunches are also delightful.
We love this place. It has become one of our go to places. I feel totally safe eating there.
They have done a good job with distancing the tables. The food is always great. Best
Excellent food and service every time. This is my absolute favorite place to go in Venice when I visit. The scallop risotto and sea bass special were fantastic and the salade du soliel is always incredible.
Excellent food ! New place for us and would highly recommend. Casual atmosphere with high end type food, we had the escargot: yum! the duck with mashed and asparagus & the veal osso bussco with veggies and scalloped potatoes special: they were both unbelievable, tender meat, cut with fork, the potatoes were to die for.... Drinks great, chocolate creme brulee with raspberry sorbet was delicious and service excellent.. Don't miss this one. We will definitely be back!!!
We have been visiting Venice, FL for over 35 years and had gotten into a routine as to where we'd dine. But, this Saturday, we decided to try somewhere new and discovered this delightful French cafe. The ambiance is very welcoming and pleasant and the seating is quite comfortable. We were very pleased with the service as well - efficient and friendly. They have a beer and wine license but, I was very pleased to find a Kir Royale on the menu and my husband had a lovely Pinot Noir. I started with one of the most delicious soups that tasted of Fall...carrot, potato, apple, ginger, and coconut were the main flavors. I had a tasty burger on a homemade bun with a house salad and my husband had the salmon with ratatouille and gratin Daugphinois which he raved about for the rest of the weekend. We are so pleased to add this neighborhood gem onto our list!
My wife and I hadnt been in a while but we had a wonderful experience. The food was terrific, the service attentive and they had a great guitarist playing. We will be back again soon. A great night
We celebrated a birthday outside and safe. My husband had phoned ahead to order birthday dessert (with a candle) and they did a great job of putting it together. The food at Cafe Longet is always superb, fresh and original.
The food was fabulous as usual. We go fairly frequently and are never disappointed.
The ambiance, servers and most of all the food were spectacular!!
Chef Steve can prepare fish, vegetables and make true French desserts like no other!!
It’s absolutely fantastic!!! Our 2nd time in a week!!
I had the Triple Tail & my husband had the duck. Presentation was fabulous! The owners gave us a complimentary appetizer, plus we ordered the crab cake appetizer which was wonderful! The aoli sauce was delicious! Of course, we topped it off with a wonderful bottle of French wine! Our waitress was a really nice school teacher whose name escapes me. She was also a great waitress!!! We will definitely go back!!!
Great spot! Kitchen was very slow on this recent visit. Better service previously.
Food was outstanding. A little pricey but overall a great experience.
I absolutely love Cafe Longet! It’s a bit of France in every single sumptuous bite. Dessert was the perfect ending of a perfect experience. Cafe Longet is a gem and is my favorite restaurant hands down.
One of the best restaurants in Venice. Consistently good.
Cafe Longet never disappoints. Had the daily special on 10/24 of an entire 8 rib rack of lamb with two sides. Probably the best rack I have ever had. Wife had the Scamp Grouper special which was equally good. You don't want to miss out on the desserts either. Today was a chocolate lava cake with homemade vanilla bean ice cream. Sinful. Try the chocolate salted caramel tart if available. This is the "go to" place in Venice IMO.
Always a brilliant experience. The chef/owner comes out personally to greet you after your meal. Everything from ambiance to presentation to flavors this place is outstanding. Truly one of our favs of all time
We made a last minute decision to have dinner at Cafe Longet on Saturday and it was wonderful. We dined outside with a breeze blowing and lovely Florida evening. The Cobia special was delicious and the apple tartan dessert was also excellent.
The best restaurant on Gulf West coast! Exec chef/owner Steve Longet and his lovely wife Jessica opened their chic and cozy restaurant 4 years ago, we only discovered this fabulous find 2 years ago and have been regular diners ever since-Arielle has been our server and we’re always so grateful for her kind and caring professionalism-if you’re a foodie with a sophisticated palate and prefer a casual setting, look no further and reserve your table today!
Server did not have any personality; never introducing herself. Even though my Husband said he had to eat Gluten Free and ordered a GF appetizer, it came with wheat bread. Then had to wait 10 minutes before getting GF bread. The Sea Bass although listed as the Chef’s speciality was a big disappointment from the size to having the skin served upright. I would recommend the risotto and scallops but that would be it. Prices did not match the quality or portion size. Very disappointed as it was a special dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
has become my favorite restaurant in Venice.
Food is just fabulous, service is great.
Wonderful food as usual and the service is always timely but never imposing. They have a nice wine list and the menu is bright enough to suit any taste or need.
A wonderful experience and a true French restaurant. The salad with raclette was unique offering a variety of flavor and texture, both entrees - the red fish and the lamb - were cooked perfectly. The tart was extremely rich but well balanced by the vanilla bean ice cream. We will be back!
We sat outside at a comfortable table and were warmly greeted by our server. The food was delicious, as always. It's a definite favorite of ours and I highly recommend it.
