   This cafe is a diamond in the small city of Sunset!!! We had a quiet lunch with friends and the waitress was amazing… giving us lots of options to choose from… we both had a frozen lemon drop… And I had seen something on the grill when I came in and decided to ask about it… Thank God I did… It was Cajun sushi… Which basically is a rolled out piece of ribeye filled with cream cheese and jalapeños, then rolled up like a sushi and wrapped in bacon… It was served with a sweet but peppery sauce with shallots on the side… Absolutely amazing. My friend had the chicken fried ribeye and we both had the stuffed baked potato. To top all of this off, we shared a white chocolate blueberry cheesecake slice I cannot tell you how amazing the food was and the surrounding area is very quaint and filled with little antique shops for you to poke your head into either before or after you eat.

   It was good- not great- but good! Wedge salad was bland and steak was way way under cooked! Seafood platter was good! Stuffed mushrooms were good and brussel sprouts were excellent! Frozen lemon drops were great!! Our server was nice and attentive!

   The food is always excellent! Check the board at the hostess’s desk; great off menu options. If you are a steak fan, the ribeye cap is incredibly good. Not cheap, but well worth the spend.

   Love this place but last night they had an off night for us. Service was a little slow and inattentive. Ordered the grilled seafood platter but it arrived fried. Person that delivered the food didn’t seem much interested in redoing the order. I couldn’t redo it anyway as we did not have the time to wait. It wasn’t terrible, just not the same experience as my previous visits to the restaurant.

    They have the best steaks in Acadiana. If you are a steak lover you have to try this restaurant. Get the ribeye cap.
