   We have been to Cafe Frank a few times now. Our first experience was great, because we look for great service interaction as well as great food when paying these prices. The next two times were lacking in service, but food was great. We thought we'd give it one more try. We booked a table for 3 but when we arrived, the restaurant thought the booking was for two. It was only 5:30 pm and the restaurant was empty. Yet the hostess told us we'd have to sit at the bar because "within 30 minutes the restaurant will be packed". We were extremely disappointed, but we figured we'd be as accommodating as possible. We proceeded to sit at the bar and got minimal attention from the bartender, couldn't hear each other conveniently because we were sitting in a row, and proceeded to watch very few people come in for their tables. We had to flag the bartender several times for basic service needs, and best yet - the restaurant had THREE open tables by the time we left, that had been open the entire time we were there. NOT impressed, NOT happy, and NOT returning.

   Hey LaRayne, I’m really sorry to read this. I know you’ve been in before and came back hoping for a great experience. We didn’t deliver, and that sucks. It looks like your reservation was self-booked online for two, and since we don’t have a host, the team made a call based on what came through. That’s not meant as an excuse. We should’ve explained the situation better and worked harder to find a more comfortable setup for you once you arrived. It also sounds like service at the bar wasn’t what it should have been. No reason for that. You deserved better. If you’re open to giving us another shot, shoot me a note. I’ve shared my contact info privately since OT doesn’t allow it here.    Overall A+! Atmosphere, food and beverage knowledge. Cuisine with a French influence was wonderful and the restaurant staff were cheerful and professional.

   We had a fabulous dinner at Cafe Frank! Dylan was amazing and our food was hot and delicious.

   Top marks to our server! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good advice. Plus she was exceptionally welcoming when we arrived. The food was excellent; we had the duck and the rockfish. The baked Alaska dessert was out of this world!

   We are so glad we tried Cafe Frank and the food was fantastic. The service was great except for waiting 20 minutes for our predinner cocktails. Telling us precisely 2 hours after our res that we needed to leave was abrupt, but it was very busy and a Saturday night so understandable and a not uncommon policy. I suggest to at least let people know when they are seated if they are fully booked and get drinks to them sooner to fit in that timeframe.

   Lovely meal. I hadn't been in over a year and whatever bumps in the road they encountered with a change in chefs have been handled very well.
