Truly excellent food. Creative, focused menu. Attentive and caring service. Beautiful surroundings.
Beautiful evening with terrific food and service.
Food average, service amazing
The location is elegant, the staff was courteous and professional, and the food was delicious.
How do you describe an experience that begins with a drive up to Blantyre mansion, a historic property that has hosted the greats of music and entertainment. Words cannot describe the experience.
We started our evening with a glass of Moët and Chandon in the Dom Perignon salon before being seated. Cafe Boulud doesn’t offer a tasting menu but we ordered an assortment of dishes to replicate the experience. The starters of chilled pea soup, Yellowfin Tuna and crab cakes were outstanding. Our entrees consisted of Crescent Farms Duck breast and Rack of Lamb!
Everything you would expect from a Daniel Boulud restaurant and more!
Lastly, we finished with the Vacherin, a mango and basil sorbet and cardamom meringue!
Austin Teely, manager, Frank our server and Alan our sommelier were all gracious, attentive and accommodating!

A lovely experience from start to finish.
Attentive service. Good food. Attractive dining room.
A memorable experience, the food and service was outstanding.
The dining experience was exceptionally high including the ambience, noise level and quality of the food ingredients, prepartion and presentation. However, the service was unduly attentive, almost to the point of being intrusive. In 30 years of dining in the Berkshires, this is my first complaint of simply "too much" service...ideally, food service would be invisible, anticipatory and responsive.
It is also notable that the portion sizing is apporpriate...neither miniscule nor daunitngly large (possibly a disappointment for those diners who seek a 'doggie bag' reward).
On balance, Cafe Boulud enhances Chef Boulud's reputation for thoughful creativity, full confidence in the quality of the goods and flawless execution...if only, securing a reservation was less of a challenge!
Food was delicious and the service impeccable and friendly. It made for a very special evening.
It has been an immense pleasure to dine at Café Boulud at the Blantyre twice within the last calendar year. We have been lucky to have Kevin as our server both times and he is not only an outstanding server but a lovely young man. We were also graced by the knowledge and expertise of Andrés who worked seamlessly with Kevin to provide sensational beverages to accompany our meal. We would go back tomorrow if we could get a reservation. As locals, we feel so lucky to have the Boulud team back at The Blantyre. Hands down best dining experience in The Berkshires.
Charming old world elegance and style with delicious food in a beautiful setting
Having been to many Daniel Boulud restaurants in New York City, Café Boulud at Blantyre met our expectations in everything except one entrée: the Rack of Lamb "En Persillade": the dish was tasteless, there was not even a hint of parsley, the barley made it even more tasteless, the portion of meat was tiny..... and they charge a $10 supplement for this!
The sword fish was excellent.
The tuna appetizer was excellent.
The Vacherin and Grilled Apricot deserts were excellent.
Impeccable service, ambiance, and every dish was a visual treat. Fine dining in a stunning setting. Ultimate leisurely dining. My dietary needs were respected and the executive chef had no problems meeting them by tweaking my three courses. Frank, our server, as well as the other servers were in perfect form. At the end of our meal, we felt much gratitude to the whole team.
Servers were nice and knowledgeable, but service was very slow and inattentive- particularly for the price and experience they are trying to create.
One of very few restaurants worth a 20 Minute drive in this region.
One of the best meals we've had in a long time. The setting is glorious and comfortable. The service is on a par with the finest restaurants in NY. Kudos in particular to our server, Zhen-Mei and the maitre d' Austin (both from Pittsfield but with style, manners and professionalism that would be at home in the finest restaurants in the world). The food was just what you would expect from a Boulud restaurant. Creative, interesting, exceedingly well prepared and totally delicious. We left very, very happy and look forward to returning often. Bravo!
From the greeting when we arrived in a thunderstorm and our car was whisked away and we stayed dry, to the moment the bill was presented nothing needed improvement. The service and food and attention to details, the explanation of what we were being served all made for a wonderful evening.
The food is outstanding and gets 5 Stars. You can’t experience finer dining in the Berkshires. Due to a lack of staffing that is problematic throughout the Berkshires, the service is Ok to good. But our waitress and other staff members did their best to fill in the gaps.
I’m not a big fan of prix fixe dining, but in this case, I’m ok with it and will come back again… if I can get a coveted reservation.
Delicious food and cocktails. Amazing service.
Inventive and very delicious dishes beautifully presented. The service was professional and yet friendly and convivial. Well done!!! Cocktails were memorable My son had the French sour, I think that was the name, with a spritz of high end scotch.
So good! Definitely worth the visit. Great food and fun drinks.
Perfection in the Berkshires. Everything here is perfectly on point as always.
Magical dining experience following cocktails while listening to Karen T. play the magnificent piano! The risotto and asparagus salad appetizers were outstanding as were the filets (cooked to perfection) and bass. The sommelier, Alan, recommended a superb Napa red that complemented the dinner perfectly. Wish I could rate the service a 5+ - the staff could not be more attentive. Can't wait to go back!
Food was very good, but unfortunately the service was not very good. Though the young servers seemed to try hard, they appeared inexperienced and unprofessional. For the cost of the meal, service should be much better.
Sadly, the restaurant decide to up the prix fixe from $74 to $94 over the last 6 months. In NYC, for the same menu, it’s $60. Come on. Also, the burger was so mediocre, it was disappointing.
Staff was great, as usual.
Very well executed classics of French cuisine, with friendly and experienced wait staff and an incredible setting in a Gilded Age mansion. The cocktails were incredible, the food was delectable, and the ambience exceeded our expectations. Foodies and wine connoisseurs alike will have plenty to enjoy. I would highly recommend.
Stars of the menu from our dinner visit:
The French Sour cocktail, the cold pea soup, the rack of lamb, and the basil-mango vacherin for dessert.
Best service we have ever had !
I highly recommend!
You won’t be disappointed
The menu is a creative blend of seasonal ingredients and is a pleasure to eat.
Always a great dining experience. Can’t wait to go back again.
Superb food, accommodating attentive service, tranquil ambience
Hadn’t been here since November. Everything was up to their usual high standards.
Appetizers were outstanding. Entrees were very good. Service and setting outstanding
They made our anniversary special.
An interesting menu. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious and a welcome change from the ordinary menus in the region.
A phenomenal evening. Staff was warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. Drinks and food were as expected, perfection.
Excellent ambiance with superb service in a delightful setting, with delicious cuisine.
Dinner at Cafè Boulud Blantyre was such a treat. We had a magnificent meal in a beautiful room with outstanding service.
Flawless from start to finish. Attentive, yet never hovering service. Amazing wine list. Superb cuisine. Cannot recommend highly enough. A truly wonderful experience.
Delicious food in a beautiful setting with attentive but not intrusive service. Not inexpensive but worth it, especially for a special occasion.
