this is a gem in the Berkshires, not equal by anywhere except Wheatleigh which has not been open during the pandemic. Has the arrogance of Daniel's in the city which is out of place in the Berkshires but maybe this will improve, maybe not. It's French. Not Italian.
You want friendly. Go Italian. You want elegance and put up with some arrogance, OK, this is a wonderful place.
The food and service were superb. The ambiance and decor were lovely. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our Valentine’s Day brunch.
Wonderful experience - love coming here. Food and service really is exceptional and worth the price as a special treat.
We have been seated in the bar area twice now and its not exactly quiet so it really spoils the whole ambiance of a special occasion. The bar making drinks with noisy shakers is annoying, the flow of guests in and out, banter of host staff can be overheard.
Had a great experience, the service was excellent. Will be going back.
Valentine’s Day
The two-course prix-fixe was excellent. We had the lentil soup which I thoroughly enjoyed (splurged on some shaved truffles which definitely added to the dish), and the beet & burrata salad which was stunning. The duck confit featured a great balance of pickled vegetables, and the eggs benedict featured a rich hollandaise sauce, nicely seasoned potatoes and perfect greens.
We didn't have room for dessert but the options looked very tempting.
Amazing! So nice during Covid to have a civil, amazing meal. Please come back!!
Beat in the Berkshires!
As always the food was delicious. All 5 of us were happy with our choices. The lentil soup was the least interesting choice for appetiser and the cassoulet was very tasty if a little on the salty side. The ambience in the conservatory is elegant and romantic. Make sure to allow time for cocktails or after diner drinks around a fire in one of the sitting rooms
Beautiful presentation, attention to detail, and delicious! We l love this restaurant
Food and service amazing. Great wine list and cocktails, as well. Great for romantic evening out.
Amazing many thanks
Delicious professional
Wonderful setting
We had a wonderful evening at Cafe Boulded. Service, food and ambience were all exceptional. The prix fixe dinner was reasonable considering what you got. The drinks and wine by the glass were a bit pricey. With tip the price for dinner for two was over $300 but worth it for a special occasion.
I have missed the Boulud experience in New York City and had longed to try the pop up
It did not disappoint
The food was delicious with generous portions. The staff was quite on point and our evening was lovely.
Wonderful, perfect experience — will go back
It is a must for any Relais Chateaux fans. This is definitely a Delicious Journey ! Chef Daniel Boloud is a genius and the staff at this location like his others are top notch.
This was our sixth time visiting in the Berkshires. We miss Manhattan.
Beautiful restaurant, elegant cuisine, friendly service. We came for a birthday meal. We were very pleased.
Everything was absolutely divine! The service, the ambiance, and the food.
I went here for my birthday with my then girlfriend and decided to bring her back the next month to propose to her (she said yes!) and then have dinner at Cafe Boulud. Everything is extraordinary from the beautiful gilded age manor of the Blantyre, to the unbelievable dining, to the high class service.
There is a reason Daniel Boulud has his Michelin stars, and look no further than this spot to find out why.
Wonderful meal, beautiful setting, great service and music!
I am still very upset. Food was great as was the waiter but the staff almost completely ruined our 20th anniversary because management completely messed up. They greedily accepted a reservation day of for a party larger party and gave them the table we had confirmed the day before (for the one private room. ) In the end, they found an acceptable space for us, but they did not make up for the bad taste their confusion and lies created. Did the manager come over to our table to personally apologize? Offer us a drink? Special flowers on the table? Some gesture to say”sorry we almost ruined your special day”. No. Nothing. They acted as if nothing had happened. Well, something happened and unfortunately that is what we will remember. Also Blantyre has lost all its charm in a recent renovation. We were there years ago and it was a unique space. No longer. Rather, it got a corporate make over.
So when we want to eat the perfectly prepared food designed by Daniel Boulud, In a beautiful atmosphere, we will go to his restaurants in NYC. There they know how to treat their customers. At Blantyre they haven’t a clue.
We had an excellent brunch at Cafe Boulud. Fine dining for sure.
Beautiful destination restaurant, impeccable service with delicious food.
Safe surroundings and excellent food in a turn-of-the-20th-century mansion.
The service was flawless!!! The food was amazing!!
From the warm and earthy olfactory experience of stacked wood at the entry, the pianist in the foyer, the two fireplaces, the well crafted architecture and lighting, the smart Covid precautions, excellent service and AMAZING FOOD, we were sold.
Best meal out in the last year. Goodbye 2020, hello 2021 and hello Balyntre.
We will be back. And will enjoy it.
Treat yourself. Do the same.
amuse-bouche was excellent, starter (special for that evening) was also wonderful; the filet mignon main left much to be desired and was unoriginal without much taste; dessert of almond gateaux was excellent
This was our second visit to the Blantyre resort. It was an absolutely amazing New Year’s Eve night for us. We enjoyed the food, ambience and the wonderful hospitality. Look forward to visiting again!
As always an exceptional dining experience. I really hope you stay past February!
Outstanding. Good as any food could be. A++
Everything that you would hope for in a wonderful dining experience. Cheers!
Lovely Christmas Eve dinner.
Food beyond compare, service excellent, atmosphere gorgeous
Everything about our experience was outstanding. Blantyre is magnificent and just to be there was transformative. Dinner at Boulud was so wonderful and a very special extravagance that was well worth it.
It was so nice to have an excellent, civilized meal in a beautiful setting. Great selection for the fixed price. Will definitely be back.
5/5...if I could give it more stars I would. Amazing food, extremely conscientious service and an overall amazing ambience.
Lovely in every way.
Beginning with our warm and welcoming greeting (including a Covid temperature check!) to the moment we walked out the door, our evening at Blantyre was an all around perfect dining experience!
