We eat there every Sunday after church. The food is terrific. The wait staff is incredible. 100% recommended. Today our waitress was Melody. She is always upbeat, friendly and helpful.

Cafe Blue continues to be one of the best restaurants in the Lake Travis area. There food is outstanding and has a menu that offers a range of selections that are both upscale and casual. Service is professional, attentive, and friendly. Management is hands on and also attentive roaming the floor speaking with customers and chipping in to deliver orders. We enjoy the regular and brunch menus frequently. Highly recommend Cafe Blue for everyday dining or that special occasion.

Had very nice lunch. Our group ordered trout, hamburger, and fish tacos. All 3 choices were delicious. Very attentive waiter. Large group table behind us, as well as private party in the back room. Still quiet enough to hear each other at our table.

One of our favorite places to dine. Consistently excellent service and the food is excellent! The appetizer special, Maine lobster rolls, was amazing. If you are looking for a substantial appetizer rather than a full entree, highly recommend the tenderloin tips. One of my favorite dishes anywhere!

We had brunch. Our food was burnt and the eggs Benedict was overly cooked. Also, the waitress did not check on the table frequently and it required us to find help when we needed something. The location is good and atmosphere is nice, but the food and service were subpar. I’m not sure we will return again.

I love the relaxed and family feel of Cafe Blue. We are regulars for weekend lunch/brunch...like every weekend! The main dining room has a ton of light and plenty of space, but if you choose to dine in the bar it is equally awesome. If you prefer less light, there are lots of options for that as well. The decor is amazing with calming colors, beautiful aquariums and even "dolphin" faucets in the restrooms (which my grand daughters LOVE). We have tried MANY dishes here - the seafood is amazingly fresh, the clam chowder is the best I've ever had - including chowder I've had on the east coast. Salads are DELICIOUS, you honestly cannot go wrong with a choice at Cafe Blue. Service is excellent and I promise you won't be disappointed!

It's rare to find a really nice restaurant in South Austin that isn't super-overpriced. Cafe Blue hit all of our criteria and we will definitely be back soon.

Would have been 5 stars but the 2 noisy kids in the adjacent room made it seem as if we were in a playground. The hostess never should have seated us there. When we informed our waitress that we wanted a different booth we were told that they should be leaving soon as just had settled the bill. OK, nut 10 minutes later they were still there making a ruckus. Not what one should expect at these prices. I don’t blame the kids. This is first on the parents and then on the staff.

Brunch at Cafe Blue in Galleria is the best place for a first rate brunch at a good price. The beignets are a special treat --- each table gets these gratis. The food is delicious especially if you are a fan of grits --- the best ever at this spot, cooked creamy with jalapeños and cheese --- try the shrimp and grits topped with fried okra, enough to share. Everything, Mimosas, food, coffee, is served by friendly staff. Convenient parking, outside dining, inside booths as well as tables. What's not to love. Good food, moderately priced and ambiance.

A noisy restaurant with good food and usually excellent service. Ambience is not particularly nice (high ceilings and hard floor make it very noisy) but service is excellent. Recommended for casual eating with nice food and excellent fish choices (of course).

Cafe Blue food never disappoints and this time was no exception. Five stars there. Usually their service is good but this past Saturday night, the service fell way short.. Maybe they had a lot of staff call in sick, I don't know. But the wait for someone to take our order was interminable and in general, was slow as molasses all night long. The acoustics are poor so it is always loud. Unfortunately my parents really like this place. They are hard of hearing so it is almost impossible to have a conversation. Is there a way to invest some money in the building to address this? I will continue to go back though, because their food is outstanding.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Cafe Blue the day after Thanksgiving and it was wonderful. Our server Sean was excellent, providing good suggestions for the 3 year old as well as the 68 year old and all in between. Delicious oyster and we are still taking about how good the fried calamari was. Seafood crepes, fried shrimp and crab stuffed flounder were all hits. Fish tank in the back room was beautiful. Highly recommend

Two concerns after our dinner last Friday night. One we will request to be seated to the back of
the restaurant as the noise level in the main area is beyond Loud!!!!
Secondly they really need more help. Waited for drinks, waited for someone to check on our food,
which the oysters were not and if it hadn't been for the manager coming around our waiter wouldn't
have known.

We come to Café blue regularly. But when we got there, they didn’t have our reservation from OpenTable. And it was like the Keystone cops trying to figure it out. We were stuck in the back, and our waiter literally forgot about us. We had to ask other servers to remind him to come and take care of us. It was the worst experience we have ever had there. They have a lot of training to do. Food was average service was horrible and atmosphere was acceptable.

Not quite up to what we normally expect. The fish was decently done, as were the veggies, but the rice was tepid at best. The fish was still hot in the middle but had noticeably cooled. Tasty though. Service was a bit lacking as evidence that I had to give my wife my water. My hope is this was an aberration as our experience is usually much better.

Overall we experienced very poor service to start with. Had to argue with the server to ask her to find out if the kitchen could modify a polenta dish so that our two yr old could have some if they were able to make it without jalapenos. So it went downhill from there as far as the experience. my wife an i ordered chilean sea bass and mahi mahi dishes. My chilean sea bass was mediocre and my wife couldn't eat the mahi mahi, it had a strange aftertaste. whatever they did to prepare it was not kosher... we also had a dozen oysters to start with and they we OK. I will not be back here at all. This is not a place where you can get a great experience for the amount you spend. Food quality wasn't good for us either.
