Auntie Flo is making his 1001 debut this May, for a nice early evening session. Brian d’Souza is an award-winning DJ, music producer and live performer that is ‘taking World Music into the future’ (The Guardian) and who DJs under the alias Auntie Flo (an homage to his late Goan Auntie Florie). Over a career spanning ten years, he’s played everywhere from Panorama Bar to Glastonbury, making his name as one of the most adventurous DJs around: join us in the loft for a late night special of all things vinyl, with our cocktails & wood-fired pizzas menu running til late.
Radio 1001 Live - Vinyl DJs all day, every Friday

Radio 1001 is our in-house radio show, with our channel releasing vinyl led recordings daily from some of the city's best selectors, spinning house, disco, UKG, funk, soul, lo-fi, ambient, balearic, electrofunk & more, on our beautiful hi-fi sound system. Recordings take place all day Friday, every Friday between 12pm-7pm, before our events begin in the evening. Come down for a spot of brunch, or start your weekend early with some cocktails up in our stunning loft space, and experience sets from the best new DJs in an informal and unique setting. Daily DJ lineup will always be revealed in the venue on the day.
Selector Brunch - Vinyl DJs every Sunday

Our Selector Brunch series at Cafe 1001 marries up our two favourite things - great food, and even better music. Each Sunday, we invite down a selector to play four hours worth of vinyl led balearia, downtempo, nu-jazz, broken beat, soul, R&B, ambient, electro & more. Just lovely music for a Sunday. Always vinyl-led, playing on our wonderful hi-fi audio soundsystem. Our brunch menu has been elevated and inspired by the flavours of Brick Lane, whilst staying authentic and true to classic cafe culture. We like to pair our brunch with a spicy Bloody Mary or chai, but don't let us tell you what to do!

Excellent venue, perfect music and atmosphere, service was good for how busy it was drinks were definitely on the pricey side.

Booked the loft, was told repeatedly that my table was in a whole other section in the freezing cold in minus temperatures and that there was no space in the loft and if it opened up that I could only be there for a very short amount of time

A really cool place to eat. We had breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend eating here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10!

Really slow service! The waiters were super nice, but there were two waiters for two floors of tables! Definitely not enough, and I had to ask them to bring our food out three times. Quite unfortunate!

Fantastic time! Very accommodating and extremely sweet! Drinks are on the pricier side, but still a lovely time regardless!
