    As is always the case, food was great. Peach serano ham appetizer was perfect balance between sweet and salty. The duck special perfectly cooked and tender. Slavisha was his outstanding self. Dessert- shared three and all were great.

    Everything about C & O was really good. We sat upstairs on the third floor. The room was pretty and quiet. Food was superb as was the service. Afterwards we went down to the bar for a cocktail and enjoyed the ambiance. Not to be missed for an overall lovely evening.

    We so wanted to give C&O a total 5 Stars. Food was amazing, the duck breast blew me away. Our server was incredible. There was a hostess/ manager that (petite, pulled back black hair) made us feel extremely unwelcome, and frankly uncomfortable , questioning our movements around the restaurant. It was a shame because other than that it’s a 5 star experience. Our greeting was cold and inhospitable as well as our exit. We were happy to spend $350 for two people but sad about the way we were treated as we entered and exited the restaurant.

    Wonderful service, food, and ambiance. We had the best salad, pan seared scallops, salmon, rockfish, and the sticky toffee for dessert. Everything was fantastic. Our server was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely come back here again!

    Great service and yummy food (regardless of the selection). Be forewarned- the appetizer serving size is very large. Two apps made a very full dinner. If you and others are of a sharing mind, order lots of different items. But be careful as charges add up quickly.

    As always, outstanding on all accounts. Five different entrees and all were delicious. Server, Elizabeth, was engaging, professional and helpful. Desserts were all great. The Bernard Baudy cab franc was a great pick. Casual and refined experience. Well done C&O!

    Best restaurnt experience I have had in Charlottesville by far. Very cool restaurant in a 19th century building. Incredible bar. Enjoy!

    We have eaten at C&O whenever we are in C’ville for many years, and it never fails to delight. From the beginning of the meal one is assured of great food and warmly professional service.
