Bywater Brew Pub
Locally owned and operated, BBP features a Viet-Cajun menu, five beer brewing tanks and a full bar. Chef Anh Luu was born and raised in the Vietnamese Community of New Orleans and honed her skills for 10 years in her restaurant in Portland, Oregon before returning home to run BBP’s food program. Our Brewmaster, Sonny Day, joins us from Urban South Brewery and is excited to brew the best tasting beer in New Orleans here at Bywater Brew Pub. Our space will feature art from local artists, many of whose studios are located on the second floor. Located at 3000 Royal Street at the corner of Montegut in the Bywater Neighborhood of New Orleans Louisiana, we look forward to serving our neighbors in the Bywater and beyond.

The food and service were GREAT. The owner personally thanked us for coming! I’ll be back!
Nate is great!
There wasn't a big crowd so rhe noise level may be higher at different times.
It’s so nice and such an amazing place to hangout and eat good food. The food and ambiance was great thank you for being here!!! Definitely a place to add on my list!!!
Great food and in a prime location! Definitely would recommend if you need a break from the heavy fried foods elsewhere
Great ambiance, delicious food. Friendly wait staff!
Good food, good drinks, great vibe
Crawfish Etoufee Nachos are without a doubt the best nachos I have ever eaten in my life! The Asian / Louisiana fusion food is mouth watering. The beers are excellent with a Wilde variety of choices. It is a must for those who like good beer and tasty food.
Food was great so was the service and the music. My new favorite place.
Out of tofu which negated the whole vegan menu. Trivia was happening and the loudest trivia I’ve ever heard in my life and they wouldn’t let us move to an empty table farther from the speakers. Food was fine, I got the phorrito, meat was good and it came with a little side of very salty broth I kind of liked.
Trivia night. Too loud
Awesome menu - tons of options for various dietary restrictions without any sacrifice of flavor - as well as fresh & fairly priced cocktails, and neighborhood outdoor dining... a great experience. Kate is an awesome server. Will be back regularly!
Flavorful Asian fusion food with good beers and drink selections. Great neighborhood pub vibe.
Excellent, satisfying and fresh food with some cool drink options! Definitely a new gem!
The crawfish nachos, cheese egg rolls, and the crawfish were delicious! The mai tai was out standing and I really enjoyed the beer! Excellent place.
We throughly enjoyed our meal everything was outstanding! This is definitely a new gem in the Bywater! Yum! Excellent service!
We are so excited to have Bywater Brew Pub in the neighborhood! It’s a great new casual dining option with some of the best spring rolls I’ve had. Reasonably priced and good value. We really like it!!
Service was impeccable. Crawfish is lit
Highly recommend Bywater Brewpub. The extensive list of beers, wine, and cocktails were delicious and the Vietnamese inspired menu offered a pleasant surprise that distinguishes itself from other brewery fare. They accommodated all of my relatively large group's (9 people) requests by seating us outside and offering plenty of covid-safe distance from other patrons and the service remained impeccable throughout the night. We enjoyed spring rolls, Vietnamese inspired crawfish (HIGHLY recommend), pho burrito, crawfish etouffe nachos, salads, a burger as well as an assortment of house-brewed beers and expertly crafted cocktails. We ended up staying until closing and I can't wait to return.
It was great, thank you!
Really enjoyed our outdoor lunch here. Good food and great drinks!
We went BBP for my wife’s birthday. Food is excellent. Best wings around!!
Interesting Asian-Cajun fusion. Excellent beers on tap, including 6 house made brews.
We loved everything again! The special (soft shell crab) was phenomenal... so so good! We also loved the Cajun fried rice and the crawfish nachos.
Food was very creative and delicious. Somewhat busy the night we were there as it was also "Trivia Night".
One of our party also enjoyed a flight of beers.
We loved this place! Really interesting menu, great service, excellent value, and fantastic food. A great new addition to New Orleans and the Bywater.
Absolutely great staff and wonderful food!!!!
Great place with wonderful food. Fab addition to the neighborhood.
Crawfish nachos, Bahn mi burger with a side of photuchinni, and the Cajun fried rice were all unbelievable! The new beers were also great! Our favorite was the pho king ale! We loved everything that we had!!
The new beers were great! We also loved the food!! Highly recommend and will definitely be back again!
Hey great service and the food was wonderful !
We made reservations for our anniversary, which happened to fall during a New Orleans saints playoff game. The restaurant did save us a table and we were seated as soon as we arrived. The service was fantastic, and the menu offered plenty of happy hour specials which was nice. We ordered drinks, and I was happy with my spiked Vietnamese coffee. For food, we selected the banh mi burger and phorrito, which were both tasty and fantastic. Our server was very receptive throughout our visit, and we will certainly visit again to try more of their food and drink offerings in the future.
We loved everything! The food was excellent!! We loved the crawfish nachos, phoritto, and chicken sandwich. It was all perfect! The service was also great and we loved the atmosphere with the unique art. We will absolutely be back!
Greatly enjoyed checking out this new brew pub, they have a very unique menu that's also super tasty. My friends and I enjoyed it and em looking forward to when they're finished brewing their own beer to try it out!
This place is fantastic, especially If you are looking for gluten free food. I might move just to be closer.
Really good food! Fun atmosphere and cold beer.
Such a cute new place to find. The food was good. We cannot wait until they get their own craft beer.
Couldn't wait for BBP to open, and Chef Anh Luu did not disappoint. We especially liked the shrimp with remoulade sauce (only on the happy hour menu) and our burgers (I can recommend the Tofu Burgers for you non-meat eaters). The list of local beers offered besides theirs (coming soon) was impressive, as well as the wine list, which is often overlooked at Brew Pubs, so was much very appreciated. Can't wait to return to try all the things on the menu. It was our first time eating indoors since the pandemic, but we felt safe. Very high ceilings, LARGE separation of tables, staff was very careful to keep distance and wear masks. In better weather they can open large garage doors in front to increase airflow even more. We are looking forward to returning.
Thank you so much for the review! We appreciate you coming by and so glad you enjoyed it! We look forward to seeing you again!
