Bywater Brew Pub
Locally owned and operated, BBP features a Viet-Cajun menu, 12 taps for house brewed beer and a full bar. Chef Anh Luu was born and raised in the Vietnamese Community of New Orleans and honed her skills for 10 years in her restaurant in Portland, Oregon before returning home to run BBP’s food program. Our Brewmaster, Sonny Day, is excited to brew the best tasting beer in New Orleans here at Bywater Brew Pub. Our space features art from local artists, many of whose studios are located on the second floor. Located at 3000 Royal Street at the corner of Montegut in the Bywater Neighborhood of New Orleans Louisiana, we look forward to serving our neighbors in the Bywater and beyond.

Food is so unique and absolutely delicious! Guys had the beers and they measured up. Definitely on our "return to" list.
They had a limited menu due to Ida, but everything was very good. Food was excellent and the beers were on point. I look forward to returniong when they have the full menu.
Awesome beer, food, and vibe! Best beer I’ve had in a while
I wish there was a 6th star available because this place is a true gem in a competitive New Orleans restaurant scene. My fiancée and I were truly blown away from the entire experience, the food, the impeccable service, checking our vaccination cards upon arrival. Compliments to the chef and the staff - we cannot recommending this place highly enough and will be returning soon!
Fantastic Vietcajun fusion food. Very good hand crafted beer.
Exceptional fusion food that exceeded all of our expectations in a pleasant setting that allowed for conversation among a reunion of friends — and much of our conversation centered on the ingenious menu items. Don’t miss the crawfish etouffee wonton “nachos.”
Our waiter Nate was fantastic and the food was ON POINT ! Every dish was delicious- Crawfish nachos, Cajun fried rice, the Phorito, everything. Extremely unique fusion tastes, excellent beers, and surprisingly great cocktails
Food was different and very good. Beers were all very good and good value. Great service !
Great food and great service can’t ask for much more
This was our first visit. The food was excellent; my wife and I had the tofu cajun rice and the "phorrito". The beer was moderate-good, and we expect once the brewing team gets in their groove and catch up with the quality of the food, this place will be outstanding. Not to discourage anybody from visiting, please check them out and support this local team. We WILL be back!
The foods not great. The portions are small for the price and my food was seriously overcooked. The beer is good, but not an actual pint and also a little over priced for New Orleans. Service was fantastic. The biggest issue is the food and honestly we won't go back since it was the third chance we gave them and the food never improved.
The new peanut butter beer was awesome! The food was perfect per usual! We will be back again!
BBP is outstanding! Amazing food, phenomenal cocktails, and the service was over the top. Highly recommend.
The food and service were GREAT. The owner personally thanked us for coming! I’ll be back!
Nate is great!
There wasn't a big crowd so rhe noise level may be higher at different times.
It’s so nice and such an amazing place to hangout and eat good food. The food and ambiance was great thank you for being here!!! Definitely a place to add on my list!!!
Great food and in a prime location! Definitely would recommend if you need a break from the heavy fried foods elsewhere
Great ambiance, delicious food. Friendly wait staff!
Good food, good drinks, great vibe
Crawfish Etoufee Nachos are without a doubt the best nachos I have ever eaten in my life! The Asian / Louisiana fusion food is mouth watering. The beers are excellent with a Wilde variety of choices. It is a must for those who like good beer and tasty food.
Food was great so was the service and the music. My new favorite place.
Out of tofu which negated the whole vegan menu. Trivia was happening and the loudest trivia I’ve ever heard in my life and they wouldn’t let us move to an empty table farther from the speakers. Food was fine, I got the phorrito, meat was good and it came with a little side of very salty broth I kind of liked.
Trivia night. Too loud
Awesome menu - tons of options for various dietary restrictions without any sacrifice of flavor - as well as fresh & fairly priced cocktails, and neighborhood outdoor dining... a great experience. Kate is an awesome server. Will be back regularly!
Flavorful Asian fusion food with good beers and drink selections. Great neighborhood pub vibe.
Excellent, satisfying and fresh food with some cool drink options! Definitely a new gem!
The crawfish nachos, cheese egg rolls, and the crawfish were delicious! The mai tai was out standing and I really enjoyed the beer! Excellent place.
We throughly enjoyed our meal everything was outstanding! This is definitely a new gem in the Bywater! Yum! Excellent service!
We are so excited to have Bywater Brew Pub in the neighborhood! It’s a great new casual dining option with some of the best spring rolls I’ve had. Reasonably priced and good value. We really like it!!
I ordered a phorrito and it never came. I was with a party of five for my anniversary and I was the only one who did not get their meal. I kept getting excuses from the staff. Finally left after everyone was finished with their meal and I only had my appetizer.
Service was impeccable. Crawfish is lit
Highly recommend Bywater Brewpub. The extensive list of beers, wine, and cocktails were delicious and the Vietnamese inspired menu offered a pleasant surprise that distinguishes itself from other brewery fare. They accommodated all of my relatively large group's (9 people) requests by seating us outside and offering plenty of covid-safe distance from other patrons and the service remained impeccable throughout the night. We enjoyed spring rolls, Vietnamese inspired crawfish (HIGHLY recommend), pho burrito, crawfish etouffe nachos, salads, a burger as well as an assortment of house-brewed beers and expertly crafted cocktails. We ended up staying until closing and I can't wait to return.
It was great, thank you!
Really enjoyed our outdoor lunch here. Good food and great drinks!
We went BBP for my wife’s birthday. Food is excellent. Best wings around!!
Interesting Asian-Cajun fusion. Excellent beers on tap, including 6 house made brews.
We loved everything again! The special (soft shell crab) was phenomenal... so so good! We also loved the Cajun fried rice and the crawfish nachos.
Food was very creative and delicious. Somewhat busy the night we were there as it was also "Trivia Night".
One of our party also enjoyed a flight of beers.
We loved this place! Really interesting menu, great service, excellent value, and fantastic food. A great new addition to New Orleans and the Bywater.
Absolutely great staff and wonderful food!!!!
