Bygone’s warm & welcoming atmosphere is reminiscent of an old-school social club, while our open rotisserie grill, whiskey bar & craft cocktails add a flair that is contemporary.
Good food and service.
This was for my anniversary and the bar has been set very
High moving forward! The food was yummy the service top notch! Can’t wait to visit again!
The staff was very professional and delivered a timely and accurate service.
High quality drinks and food with a beautiful view of the city. It is pricey though so I recommend going for special occasions. Drinks are 17+ and I got an appetizer that was two scallops for $21. But the service is excellent!
My boyfriend and I came all the way from Miami, and chose to dine in at the Bygone for his birthday dinner. We were seated at a table close to the window, and then the hostess moved us elsewhere for a better view. He also received a handwritten birthday card from their front of the house team which was a special and unexpected touch!
Rachael took amazing care of us, and we had a lot in common! We started with the Gnocchi, and for our meal had a NY Strip, lamb and shared 2 sides (macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes) and they were all amazing!
Finished off the evening with creme brûlée and it didn’t disappoint. She provided us with complimentary champagne for a toast and we loved every minute of our experience!
First time visiting The Bygone and I absolutely love this place! Their oysters are extremely fresh. The ambiance is absolutely spectacular. The over view of the Baltimore Harbor sets the the tone for a very romantic dinner or a special night out with friends and family. The service here is on point.
Wonderful time celebrating my fiancé’s birthday with friends.
A hidden gem in Harbor East. Fantastic views of the inner harbor and glorious setting
Everything was excellent. Just remember the dress code is strictly enforced. We seen many try to come in sweat pants and sneakers.
I was really surprised at how close the tables were and that each of the tables and booths were occupied with no gaps. It made me nervous the entire time. The food was spectacular, though, and the view of the city was phenomenal.
It was our anniversary and it was so special. We were treated so well. All the extra touches were amazing! Thanks for a wonderful evening. We will definitely come back.
We had a bit of a trip and fall before arriving and staff were very accommodating bringing us a bag of ice to the table. We did desserts and drinks and everything was wonderful, food/drinks came out promptly, both were delicious, server was attentive but not overbearing, view was exceptional. All staff wore masks and tables were spaced apart or closed for social distancing.
Beyond expectations, the views are amazing. I love this place
I have been to the Bygone a few times. My most recent experience was underwhelming. I expected more of a fine dining experience. The music selection was a bit loud and didn’t fit with the ambiance.
The food was not nearly as good as it’s been in the past. This may be a result of covid and limited menus. But last time I had done (about 18 months ago) I thought the options were greater with better presentation. This time it was just an average selection and presentation for a nicer restaurant.
Our server was pretty good. But he seemed to disappear for a solid 30-40 min between dinner and asking us if we were done or wanted dessert.
I also felt that given covid they got a little too close for comfort. Reaching over patrons etc to give flatware, serve the food.
Social distancing seemingly was there. The restaurant wasn’t full by any means but we did go on a Wednesday. They also seemed to keep tables apart but again it wasn’t full so I don’t know how it would be on a higher volume night.
I don’t know that the price of food is worth the experience. Overall experience was ok but nothing to go out of my way to return.
Our server Alex was outstanding! He helped us with our menu choices and was on it with anticipating our needs. The food was tasty and the view was the icing on the cake.
It was great, but my husband got sick from the food. 🤮
My birthday celebration. I was a little disappointed the outside was closed off. Pictures would have been to die for. Overall, everything was amazing.
BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLLLL! SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT! I would go back again and again.
The food was great and the drinks were better.
Everything was above board. We even received complimentary champagne.
This was my first time dining at the Bygone , food was awesome. I have been here serval times for drinks and my all time favorite is the “Bygone Daisy” I chose this place because it is grown and sexy!! I was celebrating my Fabulous 45th Birthday. Will definitely dine here again......
Everything was fabulous!!! Best restaurant in Baltimore!
It was such a nice atmosphere as well as the excellent service.
The view made the whole experience worth while. The service was amazing. The food was good, but a bit pricey for what you get.
Dinner was amazing. It was our first experience at the Bygone and I would most definitely recommend it to anyone out for dinner on a special occasion. My wife was very pleased with her steak and i was as well with my crab cakes. Our waitress, Rachel was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the menu, pleasant to talk to, made great recommendations and checked in on us occasionally to make sure our dining experience was up to par. We enjoyed her so much, my wife wanted her as a friend. Thanks so much!
Amazing ! Top notch ! Loved it ! Great views
My experience with the Bygone was wonderful overall! However, the food seems prewarmed...
The perfect special-occasion spot. Gorgeous view, spectacular food, professional service, pricy but worth every penny.
Location and service were good. Food was average and disappointing at this price point. Worst lobster ever tasted like tomato soup with meat in it. The view is about the only thing this place as going for it. Major disappointment
The food was amazing! I would recommend this restaurant to any of my friends
The staff is so amazing and professional. I never had to look for a waiter and nothing was never forgotten. $300 bill for two and well worth it... there is something now for me in Baltimore and don’t have to be in DC to enjoy superb dining service . love the food the drinks and the atmosphere was totally amazing
Amazing venue. Great staff, not a hurried pace for dinner. Overall great experience. Recommend for special occasion dinners!
It was great
A little concerned with sitting less than 6 feet, back to back with other diners.
This is a special occasion place, absolutely loved the experience and the food. Could never tired of the view, and the cocktails were perfect as well. Thanks so much!
Terrible all around, just a big hype. Try the other restaurants in the surrounding area. Please don’t waste your time
Really disappointing experience. Made reservations more than 3 weeks in advance. Through the app, I asked if there was a separate process for reserving a table in the lounge for drinks prior to dinner. No one ever responded. Upon arrival on the evening of our reservation we were seated for dinner in the lounge. Hostess had an attitude and said she was trying to accommodate our request to be seated in the lounge. That wasn’t the request and had someone bothered to reply when the reservation was made that would have been clear. Asked for a manager that she never went to get. My husband ultimately found him. There were people in flip flops, leggings, athletic shoes, everything but dressed for dinner. It’s just no longer a place you associate with a fine dining experience. I don’t know that the valet is part of the restaurant as it is more so then hotel property but someone should educate the valet staff that to open the door for ladies is the expectation instead of running around to the driver to ensure they get a tip leaving the ladies to open the door for themselves. Will never be back. Sub par dining experience.
Beautiful sunset views, great service, yummy cocktails. Tuna Ceviche was fresh with great presentation. Lamb was cooked to perfection with a great sauce. Halibut was flavorful with a coconut curry sauce. The trout was not hot and arrived with some kind of weird shaved egg on top with no sauce. The service was great.
Our Server Anil was such a great host and very friendly. He was patient with us and even helped us pick out great menu items. We were celebrating my mother’s birthday dinner and he made sure she felt special On her day. Will definitely be back again
