Definitely one of the top restaurants I have ever eaten at. Amazing flavors.
Great broth and fresh ingredients!!
Very nice staff
Love the food..great flavors. Service is excellent, knowledgable and happy to provide suggestions. Had an incredible Japanese whiskey.
Awesome place, great service, great food
What can I say, thinks really hard.
Hhmmmmmm, this place is pricey but is worth it.
Food was great.
Buya is place to go for excellent Ramen .Server Taylor explained questions regarding drink list and lunch specials.Buya is definitely worth a visit especially if you want something a little different.
Air conditioning was busted and I sweated through my shirt. Yay! Everything else was great!
We didn't know what to expect so we were pleasantly surprised by 1) the bourbon selection, and 2) the outstanding appetizers.
The food was great with original cocktails. Will be going back for more.
The food and service was substandard. While the dishes we ordered (duck, pork belly and mushroom ramen) were beautiful, they were all flavorless at best. The pork belly bowl actually tasted like it has days old pork belly in it. The service was terrible: the server was pleasant enough but rarely visited our table. We all ran out of water (two large glass bottles placed on the table) and she didn't attempt to offer more or ask if any other beverages were wanted.
The ramen is so delicious! The shisito peppers are yummy! Awesome place with delicious food and drinks!
Outstanding restaurant all the way around. Great food, service and ambiance. This isn’t. Your high school or college ramen!
Our service was really attentive and knowledgeable. The Time after Thyme cocktail was wonderful. And the noodles had a really nice buttery quality to them. Very comforting type food.
I am obsessed with ramen. Not the ramen of college days (!) but honest-to-goodness homemade ramen, with delicious, complex broth and fresh vegetables. Buya Ramen delivers! And in a terrific, low-key and deeply stylish spot on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. We love the appetizers, too--this is the first place I've seen to offer buns that had something other than pork in them: soft-shell crab! (Amazing.) There's a blistered peppers dish that comes with smoked salt and a touch of sugar, and it's totally addictive. My husband and I enjoyed the seafood ramen, replete with perfectly-cooked shrimp and huge scallops, plus edamame, greens, and a soft-poached egg. AND THAT BROTH! *sigh* My sons had the pork-belly and chicken ramen entrees, which they reported were similarly delicious. There's a small but flawless wine list; lots of exotic beers; and ginger crème brûlée for dessert. We will be back. Soon.
My favorite is the seafood ramen
Cool place with a laid back vibe. Really friendly staff and attentive service. I always have the pork belly ramen which is delicious. Make sure to ask for the oils, I use all three at once. So good!
This is our favorite restaurant in Downtown St Pete! It is nothing short of spectacular in every way. The food is so delicious and their selection of Japanese whiskies alone makes the trip worthwhile.
Definitely recommend it for the lunch special! Tried the seafood ramen, shisito peppers and seaweed salad. All of it was absolutely delicious! The ambiance and service is outstanding as well. Extensive liquor menu!
It was our first visit simple but excellent menu. The shishito peppers were amazing we will definitely go back. I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day an it was just as good as the night before
It was our first time at Buya. It was loud. Perhaps 80% full. The service was spot on. The drinks were excellent; we had two of their special drinks. The appetizers and entrées were excellent. The gyozas were a little big but otherwise superb. The dipping sauce was too. Both of our entrées, Ramen from the menu, were excellent. The desert, a crème brûlée, was disappointing. Ginger or something on top; was not flavorful. The custard was runny.
We will go back. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience. We will order more of their special drinks. We will Order a different dessert.
It’s loud and the paintings are creepy but the ramen was so delicious! I also love that you can customize your order. Would definitely come again and bring my ramen loving friends
We were visiting from the Northeast and found Buya by googling places near Tropicana Field. We love ramen and were super excited it was a whiskey bar, too. Everything was perfection! So glad we went!
Great service and food, will go back next month.
Great food. Amazing bar. Service lacked both attention and attitude.
We had a great evening. Brian is the quintessential host. He makes sure everyone is having a great experience. My husband had the seafood ramen and I had the duck. Both were tasty and satisfying. Armando was a terrific server; he took great care of us. Thanks for a great experience.
First time there . Loved the hostess when you walk in ! Helped us for other things as well . Everyone was awesome . The manager or owner came to our table which was very nice. My hard to please teenager loved it ! Will be back !
We had a very nice time. The food was delicious. We heard some interesting background on some of the dishes. It was very helpful too! Our server was very attentive too. We'll be back again!
Lots of food and reasonably priced wines.
Enjoyed the food and the service was great but it became extremely noisy.
Food was delicious. I’ve had ramen at many different places. Buya was a little overpriced, but if you love ramen try them out.
Food was good. Ramen was great.
Truly a gem on central!
Incredible service, great craft cocktails, and best of all, ramen that is out of this world!
Great food and great service! Drove from Orlando and would do it again!
I love Buya.. The Duck and pork belly is my favorite
Awesome food! Great service. Really delightful!
Was ok ramen was bland unfortunately i loved the pork belly taco and the dumplings
It was chilly so I was in the mood for some nice hearty ramen. I ordered a cocktail - The Godzilla - which was delicious. My friend and I ordered the Gai Lin (broccoli) to share. I ordered the seafood ramen and she ordered the chicken.
Despite it being chilly outside, the air conditioning was on in the restaurant (with the doors open??). A draft was blowing right on my head. When I asked the waitress about turning the AC down, she said they couldn’t because it was for the whole restaurant (?) and offered to move us. The other table had the same problem. You don’t need to run the AC when it’s cold, folks.
The broccoli never came, was never mentioned and didn’t appear on the bill. It was as if we had never ordered it (but we did). The ramen came out fast so we just went with it. The ramen was fine. My friend was underwhelmed by hers.
Given that two bowls of soup plus one cocktail set us back $50 (incl tax and tip), I agree with her: the ramen should have been spectacular (and I’m not even sure how you make ramen spectacular). It’s a very high price point ($15 - $18) for soup.
