For that price I expect much better. More friendly, engaging helpful service would help. No specials for the day. My $10 beer was a 12 oz can that didn't even come close to filling the pint glass it was served with.

We made these reservations prior to attending a concert in Natick. The restaurant has a very cool vibe and is clearly a local favorite. We had a fantastic meal (halibut was delicious) and the service was great. Our waitress was friendly but frustrated with a menu error about the buttercup salad. She handled a tricky situation very well. I left my phone at the table when we left and she jogged a block to return it!! Thanks !! When we head to Natick again we will be sure to dine here again 💕

I made a reservation in advance for my daughter’s 18th birthday. The restaurant was completely under staffed and I felt badly for them, but as a result it took over 2.5 hours and not even a happy birthday to my girl:(. It seems our server had the whole restaurant. The food wasn’t as good as normal, it’s too bad b/c I’ve had great experiences in the past. Not sure I’ll be going back any time soon.

Overall delicious and lovely experience. Food is always fresh and delicious. Tuna app was on the small side. Clam dinner was flavorful. Dessert is always the best. Peach crisp did not disappoint.

We loved our experience at Buttercup! Started at the bar and ordered drinks…when we casually mentioned it was our anniversary we were surprised with champagne! Drinks were wonderful, food was delicious. Service was a bit slow but very friendly and it was a busy Saturday night. Ambience was great. It was a bit pricey, but it was well worth it for a special night out. Definitely can’t wait to go back!

food was very good. unfortunately the restaurant booked a large (20 people) party in the middle of the dining room on a friday evening. staff did their best but there was just not enough staff. not fair to them or us. we recommend Buttercup but i’d check first to make sure they aren’t hosting such a large party before you go.

Great little restaurant and nice ambience. Food was delicious but both of us had our food repeating on us the remainder of the night. And honestly the menu prices are out of line for the location. $30 for basic fish tacos? Price point is just too high for Natick dining.

Fabulous dinner to celebrate the end of summer. Our meals were delicious as always. We were so excited that the squash blossoms were still available. We also enjoyed the tomato, peach and burrata salad. Our entrees were excellent, we enjoyed the short rib as well as the fried chicken with fried green tomatoes. Dinner could not have been better, but we still saved room for a delicious dessert.

Inside is a bit noisy and outside is on a Main Street so you get vehicle noise but I still prefer outside. Food and service were great. Happy that they had a delicious vegetarian option. Highly recommend it.

Will definitely return. Service was flawless as was the presentation. Everything was perfectly cooked and clearly fresh. Loved the location around the corner from TCAN. Easy access from abundant free parking. Love the patio out front! Thank you for a perfect start to our Labor Day weekend.

Two things of note from a dinner for 5 on past Thursday night was that the pasta/clam entree was smaller than expected/other entrees and the same is true of the guacamole app. Guac & house made chips was so small it seemed almost silly. Great service, ambience, haddock entree. Great attention and care with my food allergies. We still love it and recommend it often.

We loved it but for a $15 drink (my husband got the ten mile high Mai Tai) it was so small we were a bit shocked. Even in Boston that drink would have been twice the size. Other than that we loved it!

We are from Syracuse, NY and try to dine at Buttercup every time we are in Natick visiting family. Our most recent visit was on a busy Thursday in August, and the full front patio was open in addition to the dining room. Despite the larger than usual crowd, our server was friendly and attentive and our meal was delicious and well-paced. Highlights were oysters on the half shell and tart key lime pie with dragonfruit. We had a wonderful experience, and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Rushed server took away from what could have otherwise been a more relaxing eve enjoying the tasteful low key decor. The guacamole appetizer was salty and undersized with not more than a tablespoon full of smashed avocado for $9. The short rib entrees were well prepared but glaringly undersized (half the size compared to other restaurants with same quality) yet each carried a $36 price tag —it was totally overpriced. Definitely not a feel good, and who’s going to haggle when you’re out to dinner? Left hungry and probably won’t return, and that’s a disappointing thought. I would toss it up to just an off night for the restaurant but other people’s reviews mention a similar overpriced dining experience. Hopefully the owner will take notice.
