   Butches is always good for a nice glass of wine and a delicious entree. We had the Salmon and the flank steak and they were fantastic.

   Our first time at Butch's we were a little disappointed in the food, but on this second visit on a Saturday night (first time was on a Wednesday), the food was excellent. It's lovely to find a "white tablecloth" restaurant in a town full of bar food restaurants, though those are usually quite good locally. We started the meal with a glass of wine, both of our choices were very good, a pinot noir and a zinfandel that was a nice surprise with fruity notes without sweetness. We enjoyed the garlic frites with our wine that had a superb aioli dip. For our mains, my husband had a chicken pasta special that he really enjoyed. I had the appetizer flatbread as my entree with the wild mushroom, goat cheese and arugula that had a bit of carmelized onion and a delicious balsamic drizzle. I would recommend each of these dishes and we'd have them again. As was our first experience, the service, ambiance and table decoration was charming and top notch. We were happy to see their food stepped up and look forward to our next visit. It's a wonderful restaurant that has much to admire in the heart of Holland's Main Street.

   My wife and I have been wanting to dine at Butch’s for years now and finally did. While the overall experience was very good, we were not blown away with the food considering the pricepoint. Our mushroom flatbread appetizer was the star of the dinner. Great crust, cheese and tasty mushrooms. House salads were better than average with tasty dressing. Main complaint was with the main course. We both ordered the duck breast with my wife having the standard setup with polenta and kale. I ordered the setup from the filet for my duck with grilled tomato and risotto for $5 extra. Probably not worth the extra cost. Both duck dishes were over cooked and the waitress never asked for a preference. Loved the vibe/ambience at Butch’s but for $42 and $47 those entrees should have thrilled our taste buds. Doubt if we will travel over an hour to dine here again.

   A most wonderful dining experience. Top notch service and food quality. Every bite is a party in your mouth. Their attention to the total dining experience is fabulous. Of course it is more expensive than an Applebee's, but for those that enjoy a fine dining experience, the prices are a bargain.

    great restaurant!!! we had not been here in over a decade!!! and so we went in with very high expectations since our memories of our last dinner there was so good. it met our expectations!!! great dinner and great drinks!!! we did not want the champagne on the menu so, they just tell you to go over to the coolers and feel free to pick out anything you would like!!! (they DO add a $20 corkage fee to anything you bring over from their shelves.....but it was really worth it!!!! we recommend!

    Overall it was quite lovely - our server forgot to tell us the specials but we overheard them explained to another table so knew what the options were. She was lovely though and gave us good space between courses which is important to us. Food was delicious and ambience was very relaxing and enjoyed the night out for our anniversary.

    Everyone was very warm and welcoming from the host to the bartender to the GM to the server and to the owner. We had a lovely table in the front that was conducive to having a conversation (a little quieter than the bar). Our dinner and dessert was very good as well.

    Very nice space in downtown Holland. Food consistently good, not always great. Seating at initial table for 2 was adjacent to a building hallway window. Hallway had an annoying ceiling light that illuminated us and our table. We asked for different table and it was provided. Butch's could solve this with a curtain as they have with a lot of other hallway windows next to seating areas. This was not how I wished to start my wife's birthday dinner. My wife had the salmon entre and said it was "ok". I tried the vegetarian entre cauliflower steak. Mine was quite nicely seasoned and tasty but maybe a bit long on the grill. We split a cheesecake for desert and it was great. Butch's remains on our go-to list along with some opportunity for improvement.

    Absolutely OUTSTANDING meal with impeccable service. Six of us for our holiday celebration, and every single order was fantastic! Don’t miss the Spanish octopus, the Caesar salad (yes), the pork and chicken! Wonderful wines too!

    Our New Years Eve dinner was not a great experience. Service was quite slow, but may not have been the servers fault. She said the bar was backed up. However, everything was slow to arrive, not only the cocktails. There were empty tables nearby, so it didn’t seem like they were slammed. But the Hanger Steak was tough and the whole dish cold. I had to hunt for the potatoes in the chorizo potato hash. Shrimp and crab bisque was not at all interesting. Our dinner companion, when asked how his Shrimp Spaghetti dish was, replied “all right”. Considering the prices of entrees, we would have expected really delicious meals. This evening was not what I would have expected.

    Server (Erin?) was awesome. Super cool and upscale location. Appetizers 👍🏻 but the main course was underwhelming. We had the Filet and the Berkshire Pork Porterhouse. Both were just so so. The dessert was phenomenal. Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. Excellent wine, Whiskey and Bourbon selection. 4 out 5 stars overall.

    We loved Butch’s! The service was amazing and Lindsay was outstanding! She took her time with us and we never felt rushed. The food, everything from the appetizers, salads and the main dishes were impeccable! Please visit Butch’s if you’re in Holland Mi they won’t disappoint! We loved it!
