I chose Butchers & Barbers because their website listed having a charcuterie on the menu. I've yet to find a quality charcuterie for a reasonable price in Los Angeles. No one has a true meat AND cheese board together at a value price. Anywhere in Paris or Rome you can stumble off the street and get amazing cheese and meats for 15-18 Euro. Nowhere in this city have I found that, anyway the only reason I choose B&B was for the food, which they no longer had. The drinks were strong but not memorable and the food was over salted and dry. I should have known better then to try and get good food on Hollywood Blvd.

Great spot, it's cozy so depending on the evening.. Make reservations. Menu is tiny but mighty and the craftsmanship of the bartender and his mixology of yumminess is on point. Hipster vibe, City Chic and not for tourists...

Terrible experience. Food took way too long. The bartenders weren't able to keep up.

Not running back anytime soon. The waitress was well... disinterested (for lack of a better word). Drinks took forever to arrive. The online menu was not quite the same as the physical menu. We proceeded to order our main courses. Not having been here before, we called the waitress back to find out if the portions were small and if we needed to order appetizers. Her response was "I don't know what you ordered". Huh? The food was okay. This place has potential but still needs work.

The food started off well, the appetiser (chorizo) was nice but the main (flat iron steak) was awful. Had to leave it because it was too chewy. They did kindly remove it from the bill. Considering the restaurant was relatively empty the service for food and drinks was very slow. The acoustics in the restaurant also need to to be reviewed due to the excessive reverberation. Nice place but could be largely improved.

Disappointing dinner experience. This place is dark and dingy, absurdly noisy (even the waiters were whooping it up) and poorly managed. The bartenders were trying so hard to hang out with the patrons at the bar that they were ignoring drink orders from the dining room, so it took 20 mins and a couple of reminders to get our drinks delivered. The menu is an odd assortment of small plates and the service is spotty. Unless you like really noisy dining featuring limited food choices and spotty service, choose another dining venue.

The food was exceptional especially the potato dumplings, the curried mussels and the shrimp with polenta. The ambiance was lovely in the bar area, with a guy playing a sax right outside the open window. But, the most outstanding part of the evening was the service. Our waiter (I think his name was Peter) never missed a beat - he made perfect food suggestions, helped us with wine and was extremely attentive. Butchers and Barbers knocked it out of the park on all fronts!

Definitely sit in the bar area dining. Much more connected than the front dining area. Bartenders were great. Chilled my Martini with Liquid Nitrogen. Food was well portioned and flavorful. Just a cool buzz of locals. Wait staff was attentive but not pushy. Will definitely take guests there again.

We went when the venue first opened. It was great then. It was even better several months later - that is always a surprise. When eateries and tragically hip, as this one is, I always wonder how sustainable. Butchers and Barbers far exceeded our expectations both time. It's not just tragically hip, it's amazingly good food and drink. 1, 2, 3 go!
