The location is lovely and service was good. The food was mediocre, pasta was pasty and sauce tasted like canned. The pizza was fine, but nothing special. We paid way too much for the bad food. Very disappointed because we love the location in Coronado.

Great atmosphere for a date or night out with family. Several authentic pizza and pasta options. Great selection of Italian and California wines. The staff were friendly and offered to validate our parking in the garage next door.

This place never disappoints! We have been to almost all of their locations and this one in Newport was a must have for the group. It is in a beautiful location with great outdoor space right on the main street within walking distance of the canals and also the pier the food is unbelievably good. Giancarlo always treats us with love and care and we always seem to be back here when we crave pizza. They have unbelievable gluten-free options in pasta and pizza and all of their Italian specialties are to die for.

Everything about this place was great...service, food, location, ambiance. If you find yourself in Newport Beach, do yourself a favor and eat here. You won't be sorry! By the way, we were there mid-day (shortly after opening) so there wasn't a lot of people inside which is why I rated it quiet. I'm sure if you come for dinner there will more people and probably a bit louder.

I really wanted to love this place as it has so much potential and is in a great location. Took my boyfriend for his bday dinner (which wasn’t even acknowledged) The ambiance is lovely but first thing that rub me the wrong way were plastic appetizer plates. I understand the relaxed Italian mentality but it took about 30 min until I’m assuming the owner came to our table to offer us something to drink. Let me point out the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. The food wasn’t bad, pizza was very authentic and made to perfection, I couldn’t get over the service though as our server (owner?) was condescending and very unprofessional. Not trying to be a hater but from a messed up order to a long wait and being thrown jabs at during our dinner the experience wasn’t worth it at all.

The food was delicious! The staff was very friendly. We ordered the focaccia with garlic, burrata caprese and Buona Forchetta with the pappardelle pasta and added sausage. We will definitely be back.

Delicious dinner with many great choice’s between pasta and pizza. Beautiful presentation and the staff was very attentive. The best part DOG friendly patio.
