We read great reviews about this place so we made the drive there. Not at all what we expected. It's an old time general store like we thought -- but with mostly bare shelves. There were only 6 or 8 tables in the restaurant part and an "open kitchen." I put that in parentheses because the food all seemed to be pre-cooked and frozen and simply heated up, not prepared fresh. That would have been okay but it didn't even taste good. The person waiting on us was very nice but that doesn't make up for bad food.

We made a reservation on a Wednesday evening in February but it wasn't necessary. Staff said on weekends, especially in the summer reservations are recommended. Loved the pizza!

Enjoyed a quiet supper here with my husband. Yes, it is out of the way but the ladies running Buffalo Mercantile were very nice. We had the Margherita pizza— it was a little juicy with the canned tomatoes (perhaps drain them). Great flavor. We will come back with our kids one afternoon and get food to go to take to the nearby park.

Love this place...differently make a reservation. Only 6 tables for seating. maybe more in summer with out door seating. Pizza was awesome. Going back to try a sandwich.

This was a huge disappointment. After reading so many great reviews, I decided to give it a try. I cannot understand how this place got such good reviews because in my opinion it certainly doesn't deserve them.

The food is amazing and we love the location. It was seat yourself, so I'm not sure the reservation mattered. The wait staff and kitchen staff seem overwhelmed and frustrated, perhaps they were under staffed. The service left a lot to be desired, but we will give it another try.

We hadn't been here since April, but it was still good! My husband had a pizza and I had the cheeseburger. Both were great! I highly recommend for a reasonable meal!
