Bucket does seafood, by the bucketful. Sustainably sourced, made for sharing, and served simply, without excessive ceremony, in a laid back, do-as-you-like place. The focused menu centres on Bucket’s own versions of classic dishes, complemented by an extensive offering of regularly changing seasonal specials.

Buckets of mussels are offered with a choice of four distinctive sauces: coconut & chilli, lobster brandy, pancetta, chorizo & tomato or classic white wine. A crayfish burger, seafood linguine, salads and raw and cured seafood dishes are also on the menu.

Top quality and accessibly priced house wines are on offer, as well as a small list of international wines, selected to go particularly well with menu.

One of those restaurants where everything on the menu appeals and yet it is not overwhelming. Delicious array of original starters and sides with a catch of the day to suit all tastes.

Superlative service by the wonderful, knowledgable serving staff, very quick delivery of the superb food. Not much more to say other than the setting of the restaurant is also lovely. I will very much be returning!

Went on Valentines Day and were treated from the start. Staff were discrete and friendly, a Hard thing to get right! Food was super fast and we got some extras that really sweetened the deal, such as little valentines chocolates and even a shot each with our bill. Will be returning if we find ourselves in West London again!

Expensive wasn't wowed by food or oysters sadly. Waiter was knowledgeable. Wine list was expensive for mediocre wines.

The meal was lovely but sadly I went mostly for oysters which were sold out stt it did put a damper on the evening

Hello, We are so happy that you enjoyed the food, and so sorry that you couldn't have the oyster. Have the freshest seafood without trowing away everything is always a challenge. Next time you come give us a call in advance to reserve them for you, it's always better to do so especially during oyster hour from 4 to 6 every day where you can have our West Mersea at 1£ each. Brilliant staff and lovely food. The soft shell crab was a disappointment and greasy otherwise can’t fault the other dishes.
