There is something terribly wrong. The 2 hostesses were unbelievably rude. We had to wait for 15 minutes beyond beyond our 5.30 reservation. Yet, when we were finally escorted in by the terse waiter, the place was virtually empty. Really strange.....why couldn’t they have seated us in the almost empty restaurant? Two manager types appeared briefly while we waited to stare at the podium and successfully avoided eye contact and slinked away before the more than dozen of us could inquire about what the problem was. We had intended Buca as a fun place for our out of town visitors. It was so embarrassing for our visitors and Naples to endure this treatment. We use to come monthly, sometimes with groups as large as 15. NEVERMORE!!!!!
Exactly what you expect from Buca's, great food and great service.
Our server was personable and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent and there was plenty for all.
We went there on Valentine's Day--not to celebrate just as a place to get into! It was absolutely FREEZING, and everyone there said there was nothing they could do about it. Something about the thermostat was tied to the kitchen. It was so cold, that the meal was not the least bit enjoyable, and if we could have found somewhere else to go, we would have.
Snotty server, bad service, freezing cold. We will not be back.
Valentine’s Day Bucca had a 3 course special very good value
The food was too much and not delicious.
Will never go back. And not inexpensive.
Service was okay, our waiter was nice but the food was just terrible. Our bruschetta was served with old tomato’s that were mealy in texture, the antipasto salad was decent. Garlic bread inedible. We also shared a spaghetti, shrimp diavlo and chicken saltimbocca (sp?) which were subpar. It simply was a poor experience and given it’s a chain I would have expected some consistency to its other locations.
Great coupons that can be used to have a reasonable hearty meal.
The food was good, but the service left much to be desired. We had reservations for a party of 6 at 5:00pm on a Sunday night. We still waited almost 20 minutes for a table. The restaurant was understaffed and many of the tables were still dirty from the lunch crowd. I can't say that I will go back there again, as there are many other Italian restaurants in town with a more extensive menu and much better staffing/service.
Buco was closed due to damages from Irma. Many renovations done yet the atmosphere and decor was kept in a similar manner. At lunch the food took a long time to come. Chicken Parm/spaghetti was very good, as was the eggplant Par,/spaghetti. The bread has been improved. The cannoli was very dissappointing. It was only filled with cream at the ends, and much of the pastry lacked cream. Not worth $5.00.
Tried again after the closure and was disappointed. Service was just awful. Slow and slow and slow. Did I mention slow. Many trips in the past and will try once more but they knew it when we left and we mentioned it. Sorry but they are not ready for prime time yet. Even the reservation was delayed ...
Always a stop when we come to Naples. Good food and atmosphere make for a good dinner.
Service was tearable, food was average. Lipstick on a wine glass and they forgot an entree. Noise was unbearable.
Excellent prices for quantity & quality food. Atmosphere is great, very casual, service is polite & right on.
Always wanted to try the pizza for many years coming here. Finally ordered it instead of their other fine dishes. What a disappointment, $28 for pretty much a soggy flatbread. Also ordered a salad and that was $26 just for a salad. So Pizza, salad and a bottle of wine which was $30 retail $10 in the stores ended up paying $100 for pizza and a salad. This place should have just stayed closed. After the hurricane.. or just stick with their chicken parm which is usually excellent. And don't sit in the bar area tables because the bartender needs to take care of the whole restaurant drinks and all the tables in that room also. So service was really slow and other people's meals were mixed up and not done properly. Maybe just getting started from being back from the hurricane?
