Dinner at Buca de Beppo was great! Staff was friendly and accommodating, especially our server Justice. Extremely helpful and was able to accommodate a change in menu item that we requested. He was friendly, attentive and efficient. He made our dining experience relaxing and fun. Quattro al forno entree was excellent. Each of the pasta items was delicious and freshly made and came out hot. Bread was really good. We just returned from France and Buca's bread was just as good!!!!

Super disappointed in our experience. Our son wanted to go to an Italian restaurant for his 13th birthday. The staff was very friendly. The rum drinks were wonderful, but it took entirely too long for us to get our food. No ones food was ready as the same time. Our daughter’s Mac and cheese was super dry. The portion sizes were way too small for the price. The Chicken Limon left so much to be desired. No color on the chicken. The pizza was TERRIBLE. It looked like something my children would make at home on pizza night. It was a complete waste of money. I feel like my son’s birthday was ruined by the terrible experience.

The AC was broken. The carpets were disgustingly dirty. Even the wait staff were open about people not coming to fix the place as they were still owed money, prior to the days of bankruptcy. The place felt run down. It’s a shadow of what it used to be.

I’ve been coming to Buca since I was a kid - I remember the huge popularity, the great ambience and enthusiasm of the staff. Yesterday, we arrived to celebrate my aunts birthday and everything seemed sad - the place was filthy, it smelled bad, there was no AC so the staff was running fans that didn’t help the pool of sweat we sat in by the time appetizers came. The food was okay, it tasted pre-prepared and from frozen, and the place just generally felt like it was falling apart. We were the 3rd table sat in the entire section. But props to the staff for doing what they could in a situation like this.

Always a great experience at Buca di Beppo Mira Mesa. The service was just awesome, food was very good as usual. We have our fav dishes there which include gorgonzola salad, Salmon and chicken Carbonaro. Can' go wrong with Buca for nice family meal!

Will not return. Service poor. Food sub par. All was over salted. Can't remember a restaurant so bad all around. Now understand why after closing over a dozen locations, the Italian-American dining brand Buca di Beppo has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

First time ever visiting Buca. Food was pretty good, quiet environment with oldies music playing in the background (was expecting Italian music), decor was like an old Italian home with tons on pictures everywhere. Server was great except that he was warning us about the plate being very hot since it’s coming straight out of the oven while reaching over my niece’s 4yo daughter to place the dish on the table, then dropping the HOT spaghetti sauce on her lap!!! Luckily we reacted fast and got the sauce off quickly so it only burned her thighs a little, but overall she was fine— or else there’d be a BIG lawsuit. But our server was very apologetic and brought us ice packs and some ice cream for her. Our bill for about 7 adults and 3 kids was a little under $500. Overall, not a terrible place. I just had higher expectations.
