Visit to Brooklynite started off great. Was there for about an hour when we were approached by the hostess asking if we were leaving soon. She needed the table for other guests. I was completely taken back. I am a paying customer like all the other customers there. I am one to make reservations at any place that will take them. I had a reservation for my table but was rushed to leave. Don't think I'll go back.

Loved the feel of the entire place. The staff was very knowledgeable on their drinks. Absolutely loved that when we walked up our seating was ready immediately. I will definitely be back!

My wife and I decide to visit Brooklynite and some other bars in the area to experience San Antonio nightlife for our reality show. This bar was our number #1 in our list. I personally was totally impressed with the bad service provided from the staff. No one greet to us as soon we walked in. The hostess didn't greet our welcome us; all she said was "please follow me so you can be serve". I want to clarify that the bar was not busy at all and there was more employees behind the bar, playing around and not walking the floor assisting customers. After 20 min of wait time i walked over to the main host and i told the young lady that we've been waiting for a while and no one have approach to us. I have a message to the bar owner or manager: -Check your employees name badges and servants name on the bill tab. Apparently my servants name on the bill ticket is "LAZY WAITER" -The bar is very elegant and full of beautiful painting on the walls. But your employees uniforms or dress code doesn't go along with the bar image. -Limit the amount of people behind the bar. I can't really tell who's my bartender and who is my waitress/waiter. -Enforce staff about customer service. I'm not your friend or family member. I like to be treated with respect and to know you want my business. This is all I have to share with OpenTable. Unfortunately experience will be share to the public and to ours followers.

Great atmosphere. Date spot. Drinks are awesome and reasonably priced. A bit loud during my last visit but I'm sure it's an anomaly.

They don't serve food, but there's usually a great food truck outside. Great cocktail menu, and they know how to make the classics extremely well….ask for a Brandy Alexander, best one I've had to date.

The mixologist concoctions are unique and a bit heavy on the bitters in some cases, so they will probably appeal most to an advanced liquor palette. The speak-easy theme is quite obvious, if a bit cheesy. A lot of the decor looks like it could be bought at Hobby Lobby, but it does the trick. There is a cozy, romantic atmosphere perfect for a date. The music is an odd choice though. Instead of playing venue-appropriate jazz, the bar plays generic bar 80s/90s rock. It is a bit confusing to the senses.

Music level set so we could hear each other, lighting nice for sitting together and talkng, cocktails were AMAZING! Try the Dark and Stormy for sure. Everything was great. Note - no food so hope the food trucks are there. We went for a rare night when no food truck arrived so we were quite sad about this. Great service too!

Our table was ready for us upon our arrival. Drinks are original and delicious. Service was quick and accommodating. Great place for small groups.

I went here on my birthday- the night I went they were celebrating the end of Prohibition. It was very lively - great music by the DJ , etc. As always the drinks were exceptional- the list of drinks that evening complemented the event. The Loca Vore food truck had amazing food- they even brought the food in to us. Definitely now of my favorite places in the city. Highly recommended.

I had read some reviews about this place and was excited to go. The photos on the website made it seem like something different than when I actually arrived. I was expecting the decor to be the same throughout, but the "speak easy" themes were random instead of all of over the place. Their house and classic cosmos were good, but the flavors were strong. I can tell the bartenders take their time in making each cocktail the right way, but the flavors were not for me. I wish they had a bigger beer selection and that they served their own food rather than let a food truck because the food truck does not compliment the drinks at all. Overall, I don't think I'm coming back, but that's because I'm more of a bar and grill kind of guy over cocktails
