    È il bistrot dell’hotel Westin. Niente di male, ma non ce lo aspettavamo (non era specificato da nessuna parte). Atmosfera per questo un po’ anonima, ma ravvivata dal servizio gentile e assiduo di Juan. Ci ha consigliato molto bene: per me un lobster roll memorabile, per mio marito taco di ribs molto tenero e saporito (tanto che ha voluto il bis!). Io ho proseguito con il sea bass, buono ma più “normale”. Birre buone con varie opzioni, vastissima scelta di drink. Sempre molto ben guidati dai ragazzi del servizio. Prezzi corretti. Si può fare

    We didn’t realize that the restaurant was inside the Westin hotel! We were seated promptly by our server Juan who was fabulous. Super attentive and nice. We were there for restaurant week and had the chicken and ahi tuna. So delicious! The salad prior was to die for (fig and radish with greens and a yummy dressing) and the sweet potato tartlet while at first I was like what? Scrumptious! Dirty martini was perfect too. We will definitely be back!! Thanks Juan!

    Sean provided amazing service. The tomato basil soup was divine. The steak frites was ok. Ambiance in what I call “the atrium” is private and quiet, away from the more robust bar scene in the lobby. Always enjoy my stays at the Westin Gaslamp and look forward to next time.

    The food was delicious, and the waitstaff was PHENOMENAL. Genuinely some of the nicest, most attentive waitstaff I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The only drawback is that it’s inside the hotel and a little removed, so it was pretty empty when we got there for our 6:30 dinner. I’m hoping this well kept secret gets out because they deserve to be packed!

    It’s a hotel restaurant, but it’s actually good. The food was delicious and the service was really good. To make it even better, since it’s in the Westin Hotel, the bar was full and busy, but the restaurant was mostly empty while we were there on a weekend during dinner hours.

    The Bronze Bird was the restaurant in the Westin San Diego Gaslamp which was very convenient for me. My server was Juan and he was bubbly and very personable. He made me feel like we were old friends and was very attentive! I ate here 2 days. Day 1 I ordered the honey wings, the guacamole, and the berry marscapone. All were excellent!!! The wings can be shared b/c you get 8 and they were big. The guacamole was the best I’ve ever had (I travel a lot and have had guacamole in many states). The berry marscapone was like a dessert from a 5 star restaurant. It was light and airy w/o making me feel stuffed. It had the perfect balance of berry taste w/a little sweetness. It was fantastic. Day 2 I had the lobster roll and it was delicious!!! The bun was slightly buttery and toasted. The lobster filling was very tasty and a great compliment with the bun. I also had the berry marscapone again; it was that good!!! Overall, the restaurant was great and I would definitely eat here again if I am in the area!

    We really enjoyed our meal at the Bronze Bird. First of all there was the Valet Parking--so nice and two hours are free if you get validated in the restaurant!! For a downtown eatery, that is BIG! My friend and I split the salmon and it was fantastic, PLUS the kitchen split the meal in the back! Nice! Because we were on our way to a show at the Balboa Theater, we received a 20% discount on our meal!! Our waiter was the best and worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed in a timely way even though we arrived late to our reservation. We will be back!

    Ambiance not cheerful. Windows face car port and cement walls. Room was dark. Food portions very tiny, not generous at all. Everyone in our party was still hungry after lunch. Described as "exceptional" in open table. It did not live up to that!

    My wife and I stayed at the Westin Gaslamp (inside which the Bronze Bird resides) for 3 nights during a business conference. On our first night, tired from travel and not wanting to venture out in the rain, we decided to have a light dinner at The Bronze Bird. We didn't expect a great deal because typically hotel restaurants are...well, hotel restaurants. We were surprised and delighted by the nice variety of menu choices, the delicious execution by the chefs, and the friendly and welcoming service. We liked the place so much, we ended up having dinner each night of our stay.

    We always go to Bronze Bird before the shows at Broadway San Diego. Food is fabulous, and we’ve never had a better server anywhere than Juan. Some shows are great, some not — but our dinners at Bronze Bird are always the best!

    Honestly, this place really tried to make everything fantastic. A smile although they were overworked. I could tell they were understaffed but working so incredibly hard with the absolute best attitude. Everyone who works there is excellent and does EVERY job. The food/service was slow because they literally were working as fast as they possibly could. I think it shows the sign of a new restaurant that wasn’t prepared for the last minute people who were to arrive along with those who also made reservations. I think it was likely a learning experience. The food was very much “okay”- but for the price- you couldn’t beat it. A great way to get a nice dinner for a very affordable price. Not many options like this out there - so when you put it all together it was a good experience overall!

    Came here to enjoy a NYE steak dinner with my partner. The special NYE dinner plates were great. We loved the mushroom bisque soup and the chocolate dessert the most. The steak had good flavor however was not a fan of the plating sauce or lobster tail, it was too chewy.
