We went the day after Thanksgiving for dinner….big mistake. They were incredibly understaffed. There was one server and another server/bartender for the entire restaurant. We had a party of 11. For appetizers, we got the crab dip and scallops. The scallops were overcooked and tough but the crab dip was good. Our entrees were brought out 3 at a time with about 5 minutes between each round of entrees with the final entree brought out almost 15 minutes after the first one was brought out. The crab soup was good but cold, the fish for the fish and chips was only lightly battered and overcooked, the crab cake sandwich fell apart, the scallops on the scallop and shrimp dish were overcooked. The server only checked on the table once but knowing that she was automatically adding a 20% gratuity to the bill for the large party, I felt like she didn’t really care. Very disappointing as the menu looked really good. Not sure how the service is in the summer, but we will not be going back.

Broken Plate Kitchen has an amiable staff. The ambiance is plain. Food: The coconut encrusted shrimp appetizer with its pineapple sauce (on the side) was very good. The scallops in the pan seared scallop dinner were cooked just right and very tasty. However, the broccolini was over roasted and detracted from the overall dinner. The crab cake dinner was disappointing. The crab was shredded crab and yielded no crab taste. The word "non-descript" sneaks into my vocabulary when trying to describe the overall sense of this dinner. Disappointing also because this was the most expensive meal on the menu. Our message to the kitchen staff is that they must take more care in preparation and pay more attention to detail if they are going to be successful with the dinners on their menu, which sound very attractive on paper. The staff did surprise us with a nicely decorated complimentary desert recognizing our anniversary that we were celebrating. The descriptions on their menu and their "fine dining" prices set our high expectations. Because of our particular experience with our dinners as described, we cannot recommend this restaurant to friends at this moment.

We enjoyed our evening there very much. The food and drinks were delish and our server, Ashley, was really great. The ambiance isn’t as nice as at the former (smaller) location but they are working on the new place since it only opened a few months ago. We will definitely return.

The cheap and low quality of the utensils and tableware was really disappointing. We actually got our dish served on a chipped and broken plate. Go figure.

Thank you for visiting but we are not a seafood restaurant nor we do not advertise as one. Also, how are you upset we do not have oyster when it is not on our menu. I would assume if you are going out to eat one would at least view the restaurants menu to see what they have then decide to dine there. The menu is usually a guide to what any restaurant offers. How are stainless steel silverware and tableware disappointing? We didn’t give you your meal in paper or plastic plates nor with disposable silverware? As to the chipped plate, we apologize.

This was our fifth visit to BP and each one has be outstanding. We were sad when then moved to their new location (they were within walking distance before the move) but happy that they outgrew the first location! We strongly recommend the Seared Diver Scallops! Even though it is on the appetizer menu I've had it as my main course all 5 visits and my wife 4 of 5! Pair it with a wedge salad (for her) and the crab dip (for me) and we had too much food! This is our favorite restaurant in Corolla/Duck and now that we have a place there, it is our first choice when we go out to eat!!

Very very overpriced. Entre does not come with any side. Crab legs were 31$ got 5 legs and nothing else. Go across parking lot to buffet for access crab legs. Bar seating for party of 7 was uncomfortable and noisy.

Every entree on our menu has a side, a starch and a veg. Crab legs are served by the lb and come with butter and old bay. Additionally you were not seated at the bar. We do not seat rsvp at the bar unless requested, you were seated in section by the bar. However if this was not ideal for you a simple asked the host to change tables, we would have been happy to accommodate you. Yes the restaurant gets noisy, there is 100+ people talking at once. Unfortunately that’s something out of our control.

We were blown away a few years back when this place was new and small. The food was spectacular and it really felt like a "find". My family and I ate there 4 of the 6 nights we were in the area....it was THAT good. Unfortunately, something special has been lost in the "scale up" to the new location. It feels like different management or that a partner has been brought in. That being said, the food is still above average.

The atmosphere does not match the menu prices. I never would have guessed the location of the restaurant on the exterior…or even interior. Appetizers took forever but entrees came right on its heels. Seasonal veg and creamy potatoes had absolutely no seasoning. Then we had been finished for over 20 minutes before our server was close enough to ask for the check. A few tables around us walked out before anyone took their drink order. We most likely won’t go back next year.

The food was good. Had been here last year and they've since moved locations. Our server didn't ask us about dessert. I have pictures of these amazing desserts last year that I couldn't wait to enjoy.. seems they don't have anymore.

Not great. Food photography on OpenTable is deceiving and does not match the experience. The restaurant is in a dingy arcade and lacks any kind of atmosphere. Service was mediocre at best.

Every single picture is our literal menu so I’m quite unsure what is deceiving. Our restaurant is not an arcade. The arcade is below the restaurant. Additionally we just moved to this location and we are still dealing with decor and still trying to make it our own which will take more than one season. Sorry the atmosphere is not what expected but no matter what the atmosphere is there will be someone who will not like what’s there because not everyone has the same taste, and that’s ok.

There is a new bartender on and unfortunately he made your drink incorrectly and he is trying to get the flow of things. We have address this so thank you for informing us, even if it through a review. Sometimes as humans we have to understand that servers are people too. We have accumulated stars over the years because people actually like our food, I’m not sure why you think we would be fooling any one.

The menu had some great items and something to please everyone in our group. Service was a little slow but not the worst. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Shrimp and grits was excellent with large shrimp, fried jumbo shrimp were crispy and definitely jumbo with a light batter. Crab cakes were delicious as well!

We came here as a large group for dinner and tried to inform the server ahead of time to make it easier that we would have 3 separate checks. She said no and to wait until the end. Then I ordered a glass of merlot (literally pointed at the menu) and I received a glass of moscato. I informed her it was incorrect and she told me that was what I ordered with no apology. Then we ordered 2 crab dip appetizers and she brought 2 crab cake appetizers instead and we informed her again this was incorrect and she again proceeded to tell us we were incorrect but took them back and we eventually got crab dip. She also rolled her eyes at a member of our party and filled a sprite glass with water. In addition no refills were offered to our group. For this service we automatically had to pay a 20% tip due to being a party over 6.

Easy to make reservation and table was ready when we arrived. Food was not great for the price. Some items did not come as described on menu and when asked, the server said she wasn’t sure why it wasn’t served with a sweet potato as described. My daughter’s entree salad did not come with dressing. When addressed it took some time for someone to bring it out as the rest of our party was eating. We come to Corolla every year, we won’t be returning.

Thank you for visiting. I’m sorry you didn’t not think the price was ok but unfortunately we have to price according to market value. The only item on our menu did not come out as describe was the pork chop that you ordered. Unfortunately we ran out of the sweet potato hash (which is not unusual) and your server should have communicated that with you upon arriving at your table and for that we can apologize. We improvised by serving it with mash potatoes instead of not serving it completely.

The food was very good. This was our second time here, but first at this location. We had a reservation for 7 at 6:15. They were busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. Our order was taken promptly and drinks were brought, but we sat for over an hour waiting on our food. We watched while two tables that were seated at the same time got and finished their meals, paid, and left before we got ours. No drink refills, no offer of an appetizer, or any offer to reduce our bill. In addition, the bathrooms were out of service and no running water in the sinks. Again, the food was good but we would not return due to the service alone.

Love that there is another option in the Corolla area for seafood that was good quality that wasn't over the top expensive and just fried fish. I had jumbo shrimp and scallops that were both very good. We also loved that there was a vegan option for my husband that wasn't a beyond burger. Try them out!

The fish taco was very nice, but a bit too much onion and no avocado at all. There were a lot of families which made a pleasant buzz, but too loud for someone like me who is hard of hearing. The negative was that the server came to give us the bill while we were still eating!

Went with a group of 10 people and had zero issues getting a reservation the night before. Food was great, drinks even better! Also got free dessert from the staff for celebrating our college graduation. Incredibly nice people! Would love to dine again!!!
