Food was good, atmosphere was not. 1 big open room. Lots of loud kids. Server was quite disinterested. No need to return.

This restaurant is an example of the misleading nature of diner ratings. We went because Broken Plate has a high rating, and we were looking for a great meal after days of striking out in and near Duck, NC. We are big seafood people, so our dining experiences have been disappointing. This place has been the worst, which is unfortunate because the staff was really good. My issue was with my entrée, the crabcakes (my calamari appetizer was great). The star of the show, the crabmeat, was almost entirely absent. It was almost all filler and inedible.

Thank you for visiting. I completely understand how your night might not have been as planned if your dish didn’t meet your expectations. However, calling us “the worst place” because you didn’t enjoy one dish, your crab cakes, is a bit harsh. In fact, we removed it from your bill because we wouldn’t want our guests to pay for something they didn’t like, but I suppose that wasn’t enough. We thank you for your visit and glad we were able to deliver superb service.

The server had a great personality. However, one of the six meal orders was not placed on time and one of the other five came out wrong (scallops instead of shrimp). We were only one of four tables at the time, so it wasn’t due to “being in the weeds”, as we use to say. Overall, very good and we would return.

Hidden upstairs above maybe an arcade would never have stopped or made reservations if had just looked at building it’s misleading! The decor and atmosphere was fantastic. The food and service both excellent

Food was not good. For being at the beach we expected fresh seafood but this was not it. Service was attentive and helpful. Would not return.

All entrees excellent. My pork chop was best ever. Jucy and cooked to perfection. Calamari was very good and all dish entrees were great

A unexpectedly delightful experience. Terrific food and service. The only drawback: ditch the canned music (Muzak). Play the originals.

Wonderful dining experience . A beautiful restaurant and delicious food. We went in the off season so not very crowded. I would most certainly recommend this restaurant.
