BRIO Tuscan Grille - Irvine - Spectrum Center
Our family of 11 decided to come back again to Brio to celebrate a birthday. The ambiance, cleanliness and service were great. The only thing is that the food could’ve been better. My family and I used to frequent Brio when it opened. I loved the portioning and the way the pastas tasted! Unfortunately during the visit, almost everyone in the table did not enjoy their food. The shrimp and lobster linguine was so salty it almost tasted like ocean water was used. Another family member had to send back their dish because the fish did not taste fresh at all. It came in salty and the texture of the salmon was mushy. Asparagus that came with the steak was drenched in salt so that side of the steak dish was not consumed. The steak on the other hand was well portioned and cooked great. Aside from how the food tasted that night the service we received was outstanding.
The menu at Brio has a nice Italian selection as well as steak and chicken varieties.
Appetizers are also very good and are pretty large portions at a reasonable price.
we had a nice bottle of wine. there were some blunders on both our main course salads, but the management handled it well. It was our go-to place before they changed. Now, we go less often.
The food at Brio is very good and I have been there many many times. But the service was not. We ordered salad with our entree and while we were eating the salad the main course which was ravioli showed and ther server was pushing it on the table, instead of waiting until we are done with the salad and then bringing the main course. I finally had to tell him he needs to take the main course back and bring it out when we are done with the salad so the food is warm. He is wasn't too keen about it, but reluctantly did it. For a restaurant like that I expect the servers to be more experienced that just putting everything on the table.
Chairs and tables on patio are falling apart and ripped my shirt. Table wobbled, server called attention to it and did nothing about it.
Food and service were excellent. I will go back for sure.
Really good food with really good options. Their pesto is really flavorful and spot on. Wife and daughter also enjoyed their meals.
From when we sat down we received our entrees an hour later for 4 of us. Ridiculously long waits for mediocre food. Will not return
70% of the food we ordered was excellent. The pasta, the flat bread’s, we’re especially good. The salad, sourdough bread and Lasagna, left a little to be desired. The service was solid and everyone was very pleasant, at times a little disorganized but they were busy so I understood. All in all good and we’d go back.
This was my first and last time here.
The hostess was not welcoming.
I made reservations in advance and noted that this was a birthday occasion. I call ahead and was told that the bday girl would be receiving a scoop of ice cream which she never did.
The waiter forgot one of our drinks, one of our orders was wrong and cold.
Overall, not the best experience. I won’t return.
Bolognese sauce was sold out at 5 pm. Food was very average.
They were happy for our celebration, and gave us a scoop of ice cream!
Great evening, great food and great friends other than a toddler screaming & crying at the top of his lungs, we made the best of it.
Family dinner for eight adults and two kids on a Sunday evening. Seated immediately for our 5:30 reservation at a long table off to one side of the dining room. Quiet enough to carry on a conversation. Service was great, drinks were good, food was done well. Portions were generous with enough left for lunch the next day.
Josh gave us the best service we have had at a restaurant in a long time. He was very accommodating, great personality and anticipated what we needed before having to ask or look for him to help us. Why can’t we have more Josh’s in the world?! We will definitely be back! Thank you for such great service and to the Chefs at Beio’s- awesome food!
Our waiter was Michael and he was great, we have had him before and his recommendations are always spot on. He makes the dinning experience very enjoyable. We will be back on Monday with a large party and hope that we can get Michael to take care of us.
Lunch with a girlfriend!
Nice waitress! She seemed to be overworked! Not enough waitresses! She forgot my salad dressing and I had to go get her! Not a problem but definitely understaffed!
Good salmon salad! Great Arnold Palmer!
We sat for 2 hours and talked! No one pushed us to leave! That was nice!
We always enjoy a night out at Brio. Never disappoints
Good Italian food. Pretty standard fare but we'll prepared and tasty. Good variety of entrees. They were willing to make some substitutes
Pasta alla Vodka was amazing!
William, our server, was knowledgeable of the menu, made excellent suggestions, and provided us with a fantastic dining experience.
Service was horrid!
One of our favorite Italian food Restaurant ! Foods always good! The waiter’s are always friendly & on it! Love it!!
I read some reviews saying that the food was not good but I decided to give it try. Honestly the food is not good at all. I wouldn’t go back. Too bad I decided to celebrate my sister’s birthday there.
We used to come here a lot, but since they changed the menu, not so often. They no longer have our favorite chardonnay and cabernet, wild caught fish; they did bring back some dishes. I think there were complaints! New waiter was very good. salad was so, so.
It was a birthday celebration. The waiter was unprepared to take our order. He had to find a pen and paper and was impatient. My wife ordered a glass of wine which took more than 15 minutes to arrive at our table. There were four of us. Two filet steaks were ordered medium rare. One came back perfect and the other was well done which was sent back.
The birthday girl ordered carpaccio which was not tender but rubbery. She sent it back. She then ordered Salmon Fresca which was more filler than Salmon. I ordered Salmon which was just ok. With two meals returned, my daughter and I were finished with our meals by the time the other meals arrived. Now, two were finished eating and two were just starting. Nothing flowed smoothly. The manager was called and apologized. Now the indifferent service turned to over solicitous and patronizing. They tried to rectify it but the damage was done. The manager gave each one of us a desert but by now the evening was ruined. The manager comped the meals. The only bright spot was the busboy, Calib, to whom we gave a tip. We left the restaurant disappointed and will not return.
The noise level in the main part of the restaurant is a tad too loud for us - but still love eating here!
This is our "go to" place for a nice dinner date, or for dining with friends. I'm addicted to their Grilled Salmon Fresca! And, hubby loves their Center-Cut 7 oz. Filet Mignon. We had great service again this time, as we celebrated a birthday. The only disappointment was that, for our birthday complimentary dessert, it was just a scoop of Vanilla Nut ice cream.
The service was slow. My food came only partially warm and coagulated.
Great menu and excellent service
Uninspired chain Italian
We had a gathering of 12 for moms out night and it was suitable for this kind of meeting, we had fun and everything was okay. Thank you
My salmon salad was over-dressed and soggy. Salmon was nicely cooked and flavorful. My associate’s mediterranean salad looked nice but he said it was bland but refreshing.
The service was excellent and since I was in a meeting I didn’t tell them my salad was bad.
Easy park and walk from garage. I was there for lunch.
Very lovely place! Was there for a brunch with my bridesmaids and enjoyed the menu.
Beat fresh lemonade and Italian margarita!
You have to sit in the patio if you don’t want to go deaf from the bar noise.
Good food, good ambience, good service. Would definitely come back again.
Really enjoyed our dinner. Josh was a great waiter.
The service was real slow and our Server was lame.
He asked whose birthday it was and I told him my daughter whose sitting under the Happy Birthday 20 years old balloons.
I took 15 mins to have him bring back a candle lit icecream and no one sang Happy Birthday to my daughter.
Food was good and pricing was ok. Wish service was better.
Wont be going back
Worse and worse every time we go. The food portion gets smaller, and chicken more dry.
