    1st time here. Food was pretty good. Service could have been better but server was on his own and just started. They wouldn't give us the wi-fi password...we got three different reasons why.

    Brio continues to be one of my favorite restaurants for several years now. For those of you who haven't tried it the basics include a large and lovely dining room with well-spaced tables, a large bar area with a very nice happy hour as well as outside dining. On this visit I wanted to try something different and had their shrimp and scallop risotto. Absolutely wonderful. A creamy (as it should be) mushroom risotto topped with grilled shrimp and scallops. And a generous portion. I love their warm sourdough bread and butter. A nice list of cocktails and wine; I enjoy their white peach sangria but seeing I was driving I had their peach-lemonade Palmer (partly ice tea). Our service was friendly and efficient and the manager stopped by to make certain we were enjoying everything. A perfect evening.

    when we were taken to our booth there were lots of empty tables with dirty dishes. When we tried to order the Sunday special as shown on the website our waiter said he was new didn't know what that was. So he asked the hostess and was told its only served during the day. It would be nice if they put the daily special on menu so the staff is aware. it is served from 11-9 per website. Service was ok.

    Brio has totally wowed me today with the most awful service. I literally thought I was on a reality show like "boiling point" where they test my temper!!! First when we went to check in at 6:30( time of reservation) the hostess was MIA for a good 10 mins.. no one to sit us. This we understood ... maybe she was on break? I don't know. Then we were sat after a 10 minute waiting period for someone to help us. The server asked me literally 3X what wine I wanted... he added he was fairly new so I didn't mind and understood. I specifically ordered my children's kids meals first along with the appetizer (carpaccio). They both ordered chicken Alfredo with lemonade... we also asked for water all around. The appetizer came correctly but the kids meal took for ever. When it came my daughter asked where the chicken was... they forgot the chicken! Shen I told the lady who seemed like the manager on floor she didn't apologize and said o I'll bring you the chicken in the side... if came super dry bc it wasn't in the Alfredo sauce. My daughter had to ask for Alfredo on the side as well. By this time her pasta was cold!!! Meanwhile my salmon entree came out wrong too so they had to remake it.... I had to ask for straws 2x!! I got impatient and kindly got it myself since I saw it on my way back from the restroom. They forgot our waters... my wine did Not come out even 30mins in... I told the server I didnt recieve my wine.... He said "oh sorry we ran out of that wine" so I ordered another wine which took another 15 mins!!! I would say this was the worst service I've ever had !!the only person who got thier meal correctly was my husband!!! I am speechless. The seemingly managed lady on floor showed little concern and was apathetic.

    The food was delicious and nicely prepared. The ambiance great. The server didn’t seem to know the menu and options well and he didn’t come back to check on us or refill waters or ask if we wanted another drink. Maybe he was new?

    Food was average to poor when it used to be much better. The worst part is the wine by the glass. Looking at the menu it is diifficult to decide the glass size as the headings change depending where on the menu. The waiter says do you want 4 oz or 6 oz. I though 6 oz was an average size anywhere else. For this wine selection the cost was $24 for one glass of average wine. Outrageous pricing.

    We went for dinner at 5:30 pm so the restaurant was fairly empty. Service was very good and we enjoyed the Margherita Flatbread pizza and shared gnocchi and caprese salad. Along with a nice glass of Franciscan Cabernet and my husband had the warm chocolate cake, it was a nice light dinner to enjoy before going to see The Book of Mormon at Segerstrom.

    Short staffed. I cannot blame the server, she tried her best. There was only one bartender, so drinks were very slow. I would think twice before having another celebration there again.

    The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. Our server, Cecilia, was everywhere trying to take care of everybody. Definitely understaffed, but she did a good job. We all ordered chicken dishes. My Chicken Milanese was tough and overcooked. Hubby had the Chicken Limone. Tasty, but again, tough! Cocktails were great. Overall, we enjoyed our first-time visit to Brio.

    Basic service was amiss. No additional water offered. My appetizer was served 10 minutes after my entre arrived. This was on a Saturday evening when the restaurant was about 25% occupied. It has the vibe of a restaurant about to fold. However, the salmon was outstanding.

    Had a nice dinner on Saturday night. Wasn't very crowded compared to the rest of the spectrum. Food was really good.. waiter was good. Very enjoyable place for dinner. No rush from waiter at all.

    Service was fair. Restaurant was noisy. Seated at a booth, no tablecloth, felt like a casual restaurant. Perhaps that is how Brio wants to be categorized, although tables with chairs had tablecloths. I don't understand that. We would not rush back.

    The food was delicious, every item ordered. The Calamari, Caesar Salad, Lobster and Shrimp Fettucine, and Chicken Limón we’re all passed expectation. But, what really sold the evening for us and what probably will make us return customers was the server for our table. Robert went above and beyond, we wanted for nothing, he was kind, efficient, and timely with delivery of the courses. Thanks for the exceptional service and food. Cheers.

    We ordered the shrimp and eggplant appetizer, lasagna and chicken marsala. It was all delicious. However, next time I'm going to ask for extra marsala gravy. I, personally, am not a fan of sourdough and thought the boule was a bit heavy. Our server was new and didn't know how to do her job. It put a bit of a damper on the evening. The manager apologized profusely and did right by us. We'll definitely return.

    The server was very polite and friendly. He just rarely came by. He brought the appetizers with the entrees, we asked 3 times for cheese for the pasta. It is too noisy to have a conversation at the table.

    Hostess, Waiter and Manager hit all points of service. The Carpaccio, Salmon Salad and Lobster Bisque were very nice. I didn't care for the Gnocchi my self but my wife liked them...slightly gummy to me. Brio Old Fashioned cocktail had an Italian flair. Enjoyed

    Brio is a great authentic Italian spot at the spectrum with great lunch specials and happy hour. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal and we all got different items. Our service was good and the parking structure is located conveniently next to the restaurant. I will be back for more!

    It was my second time eating at Brio, my first time was so enjoyable so I decided to come back for my One Year Anniversary, expecting a nice dinner and pleasant experience. We made the reservation making a note that we were celebrating our anniversary, but not a single person on staff mentioned a thing to us. When we got there, there was no host at the front, and after a few minutes we were checked in by what seemed to be a cook (i am not totally sure) We were placed at a booth instead of a table-clothed table. Our server seemed rushed and I felt like an after-thought. The food was good, but our appetizers came out after our entrees. At the end of the night we got a dessert to share, but my boyfriend found a shard of plastic in our dessert. It took a while to flag someone down. We finally got to talk to a manager who thankfully took the dessert off our bill. However I am disappointed with the service we received.

    Overall the dining experience at BRIO Italian Grill at the Irvine Spectrum was "good", a three star rating. We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation time and then only after I informed the receptionist that we were still waiting. Service was prompt and competent. The environment is attractive both inside and outside. The pollo al forno flatbread and Sicilian spaghetti with shrimp were both ok but not great. There are better choices for dinner at the Irvine Spectrum.

    Recently dined here with a friend for an early dinner. We both really enjoyed our dinner entrees. I had the Salmon dinner entree while my friend had the Pasta Brio. The server was fast, friendly and efficient. The manager checked up on us during dining to ensure a pleasant experience. We did not have any appetizers or drinks (besides glasses of water). The total tab with tax and tip was a little over $60. We hope to visit again for another dining experience soon!

    Always a great meal. Shrimp and eggplant appetizer is exquisite- full of flavor and a slightly spicy kick. Good service and drinks too.

    The calamari was terrible, it was way too salty, and was so chewy I thought I was eating rubber bands. I had to go to the restroom to spit it out. The staff refunded the item, but it set the stage for the rest of the meal. The salmon was good and well prepared, and the lobster and shrimp fettuccine was good. I don’t know if I would go back, but definitely don’t order the calamari!
