Sometimes one good idea leads to another. Such is the case with Bridges. With the success of Music on the Square, we began imagining what could happen next. The location next door (19 North Indiana) was up for sale, so we bought it and began thinking of what would be complementary. We started imagining Bridges as a wine bar offering interesting wines to Greencastle. But we soon added a wood burning pizza oven from Italy and more of a restaurant evolved. Ultimately, the idea of Bridges Wine Bar was born. The basement has become a private dining room called The Cellar, an open terrace area on top of the building, which will be used in nice weather, called The Rooftop, and there will be three fully furnished rental apartments which we call The Lofts at Bridges.
We hope you will like our addition to the Square of Greencastle.

Creative and delicious food. Have been many times. Pizza rivals big city spots. Fine wine selection. Excellent service. Pasta Bolognese a favorite, as is mushroom pizza. Salads are outstanding. We’re from NY and we know fine Italian food. This is the real deal.

Lovely atmosphere but the food was just not good. The spaghetti noodles were totally chewy and gross. The meatball was flavorless and I had four scallops for $40 that were just average. Not worth the money.

They were out of severl menu options, but the food we did get was excellent. They were really busy, so service was a bit slow. Our party of 4 sat at the bar & had a wonderful evening! The staff works very hard & the new menu choices were amazing, as always...:-)

Bridges never disappoints!!! Another fabulous dinner, the scallops were amazing, and the lamb ragu was outstanding. We also shared the bacon wrapped prawns and, for dessert, the key lime pie. Great for date night and small groups. Reservations a must for any day they are open.

Food was good. Server was great. They wouldn’t let us bring a homemade cake in we made for a gender reveal. Only 7 people in our group so it wasn’t a big thing. They simply said no and no exceptions. We would have paid a fee for it if they let us at least cut it in there like I’ve done at other places. It was kind of rude. We cut it outside in the parking area. Good thing the food tasted good because that issue left a bad taste in my mouth.

We were first seated at a a small two top table pushed against a wall. It was so close to the wall we could not raise a spoon without hitting our elbow on the wall. We requested another table and was seated at a similar table. We finally requested a four top table and we were reseated to a larger table. I strongly recommend requesting a 4 top table if your party of two is above the average size of a student. Other than this, our visit was great! We had the braised beef and salmon for our entrees and they were fabulous! The pear cosmo and the Manhattan were very tasty and meticulously made and the choice of craft beers and wines were above average. The salted caramel custard was awesome. The food was definitely five star. The seating and noise level, not so much.

We had their pepperoni pizza and we each had a Caesar salad. We agreed that the salads were top notch with the pizza not far behind. We ate early 5:45 and were seated in their basement which was very quiet & cozy. Our waiter was very attentive but not overly so. My wife had wine and I had a local beer.. This was where the waiter misdirected me. I like pale ales and he offered one up but it was nowhere close to what I wanted, one sip was all it took. I told him and he quickly replaced it with one I chose. This one was just okay but drinkable. After dinner we went to the rooftop for an after dinner drink and to enjoy the rooftop lounge My wife had wine and this time I chose an old reliable PBR. If you have not been here we would highly recommend the Bridges. While it doesn’t have an extensive menu it offers varied choices! Score this one an A-!
