Bridges Wine Bar
Sometimes one good idea leads to another. Such is the case with Bridges. With the success of Music on the Square, we began imagining what could happen next. The location next door (19 North Indiana) was up for sale, so we bought it and began thinking of what would be complementary. We started imagining Bridges as a wine bar offering interesting wines to Greencastle. But we soon added a wood burning pizza oven from Italy and more of a restaurant evolved. Ultimately, the idea of Bridges Wine Bar was born. The basement has become a private dining room called The Cellar, an open terrace area on top of the building, which will be used in nice weather, called The Rooftop, and there will be three fully furnished rental apartments which we call The Lofts at Bridges.
We hope you will like our addition to the Square of Greencastle.
parmesan, golden raisins, sunflower seeds, tomato herb dressing, carrots
polenta, pomodoro, breadcrumbs, parmesan
tagliatelle, mushrooms, onions, parmesan
Wonderful as usual! Big city food in a small town!
Great as usual. The oyster Florentine was wonderful. Fungi pizza is great and the salmon gnocchi was a hit. We’ll return again and again.
Had dinner in the cellar on a Tuesday night. It was quiet and enjoyable. As always, the food and cocktails were fabulous. We had excellent service.
Never disappointed. Wonderful, food and great atmosphere.
We had Caesar salad, pizza and popcorn. What a perfect choice. Everything was delicious. Staff was extremely friendly and engaging.
The food is AMAZING. The employees are extremely kind and create a wonderful experience. I haven’t had a dish I didn’t like, however my favorite is the spaghettini.
Awesome. Had great service at the bar and got to see the kitchen crew excel. Wonderful food. We are foodies and Bridges is tremendous.
The service, appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts were all outstanding and at very reasonable prices. We had a wonderful evening!
Love the food at Bridges, we were seated in the “wine Cellar” since I asked for a quiet out of the way place as we were celebrating my mother’s 95th birthday and introducing her to her great grandson. While it was quaint the low ceilings did make it extreme noisy as it was packed with full tables at 5pm, Lilly due to a local football game at DEPAUW. Anyway food great as always but event was rushed so we could leave to have a “conversation”
Great service, great food and a great atmosphere. Thanks!
A-1 service from Katie, our server in the bar area, the entire staff, to the manager! There was a misunderstanding on our part, but the manager handled it with extreme professionalism!
Food was fantastic as always!
Wonderful food and service as usual!
Food was good , everyone enjoyed it!
Met out ladies group, and everyone there wants to come back again and again
Bridges is becoming one of our favorite places to take friends!
Always top notch. The staff is always amazing!
Exceptional service and delicious food served in a charming atmosphere!
Waitress very attentive and helpful to our group of 8. Wise guy pizza was outstanding, pasts dish was good but not as good as the pizza.
Bridges is a “big city” restaurant in a small town. Good and drinks are top notch. Service is always fantastic.
Amazing as always!
I am never disappointed with my visits to Bridges. Delicious food. Beautiful space. Wonderful service.
We have eaten on the main level and in the cellar. It is more intimate downstairs and less noisy. Atmosphere on both levels are great
Our dining experience at Bridges was incredible. Our party of 7 was seated downstairs in the beautiful wine cellar. We were taken care of by amazing wait staff who knew every detail of the menu. Appetizers, drinks and dinner was delicious and the atmosphere is just what we were looking for. We will definitely be back again when we return to Greencastle.
This was our first visit...Looks like a fun place for the college kids..but did see several older couples dining down stairs. We tried the pizza and was pretty decent .. my husband had a lobster dish which was a little under cooked throughout . Busy place but clean and nice atmosphere. Food is different with not a ton of options and had to ask about the food choices such as ingredients. I did enjoy the chocolate chip dessert. May go back another time. Waitress was super busy and did try to keep up.
Everything was great except our last entree took a while. By the time we got it, it was cold. We ordered the lemon ricotta ravioli. It tasted good- flavor wise, would have been better if it wasn’t cold. Our waitress was very nice and we understood the fact that they are short staffed.
Great dinner. Nothing special done for birthday celebration
Dined here during Depauw Family weekend. We sat downstairs in the cellar. Nice ambiance, server was very informative and friendly. We started with the meatballs which were served with polenta and were very tasty. The calamari was average. The Kale salad was really good with a nice dressing. My husband and I split the salad, brussel sprouts and funghi pizza. We enjoyed it all. Others had spaghetti and meatballs; pasta with clams and salmon. All reasonably priced. We would come back here again
The lobster risotto and capellini alla vongole did not disappoint. Of course, our favorites of Caesar salad, bacon wrapped prawns, and tres leches were outstanding.
Bridges never disappoints us. They were busy and understaffed but they hustled and and put out great service with a smile.
Such a great spot with great food and great staff. Always a treat!!
Amazing atmosphere, food and service! The brick oven pizza is super tasty and the crust is delicious! The specials are always full of flavor, taste very fresh and the attention to detail is beautiful. The Charcuterie Board is so fun to share. Bridges is the place to go for consistently good food, warm, inviting atmosphere, and great service. The hardest part is choosing what to eat and drink!
Loved dining on the rooftop! Great food and service as usual!
Everyone was so nice and the food was delicious! The building was gorgeous and the rooftop seating was so nice and comfortable! The bartender, Damien, made the best amaretto sour I've had in a long time! We will definitely be back!
Great food and wine. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Nick was very helpful with the wine.
Very great gathering place 🤗🤗
Excellent food, unusual choices, and great staff.
Drinks and truffle popcorn at bar, moved to rooftop. Great pizza, shrimp, Brussels sprouts. Ambiance great. Will continue to retire. Great value for price.
